I haven't seen this done before, and it it has been, i apologies :£.
Post your worst game of the decade. (in your opinion, and don't get mad at other's opinions.)
Mine would have to be, without half a doubt, Daikatana. It sucked pure ass, and ruined the once awesome John Romero's reputation.
I played that when I was younger and thought it was awesome (considering the fact I only paid $1 for it). thinking back though, it could have been better though.
For me, my worst game of the last decade easily goes to Predator: Conxcrete Jungle (so much potential... wasted.
And coming in at a VERY close behind 2nd, is that steaming pile of crap that every fucking major game site gave a 9.0 or equivalent.
You guessed it folks, it's the game I'm constantly bitching about, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion... God how I loathe that game, so much.

Vampire Rain, did anyone like that?
Actually yeah. I loved that game, and you can't honestly tell me it's the wrst game you have played in the last ten years?
Yes, the plot was a bit farfetched (so is metal gear solid's). The game accomplished what it set out to do. It's a stealth game, in the truest sense of the word. It gets alot better after about the 6th mission, The stealth is insane, if you aren't extremely good, you die alot I learnt that quickly and mastered it. Once I learnt how to avoid the vampire's vision, I found the game to be quite enjoyable. My one gripe would be the graphics, and the bossfights were pretty lame also. Hardly the best game ever granted, but hardly the worst game in the last ten years.

Heh! Totally agree with Iron Man, that game was just so tedious. It takes about 20 minutes to escape, walking slowly down a valley slowly oneshooting weak enemies.

But I'm debating if its either Resistance 2 or Killzone 2. I know some would love them but I hated them, its my opinion. Both were over hyped to be the reason to buy a PS3, both were bad FPSs with absolutely god awful storylines. Heck, even Halo's Storyline looks amazing compared to them.

Halo 3: ODST should not have been its own game, would have been better as DLC

far cry 2. it may not have been the absolute worst of the worst, but it warrants the spot WGOD cos there's more room for improvement in that game than there is content, and i wish i was exaggerating. the map is too big and filled with pointless bullshit, it takes way too fucking long to get anywhere, the guns are all crap cos they jam all the time, the enemies can snipe you with shotguns from a mile away, the missions are all the same (variations of 'drive over there and kill this and that'), it takes too damn long for the day to cycle, the enemies are braindead, the story sucks and makes no sense, all your friends are assholes, malaria fucking sucks rhino feces, the faction system thing doesn't work, the cars break every ten seconds, the diamond tracker is cock, the enemies can spot you waaay too easily and there's a whole lot of stupid junk in that game that will come to mind as soon as i would once again boot that fuckfest up.

I gotta say Halo 3. There was so much potential here for a great story, but it ended up being squandered and half-assed because of the multiplayer.

I'm going to go ahead and give an opinion on opinions, since the bottom has fallen out of this thread, anyway - there are legitimate reasons to say that a game is awful, and failing to meet your expectations is not one of them.

Anyway, I agree with the those who nominated Big Rigs Over the Road Racing. It is atrocious by any standard of measurement, and deserves to be counted among the very worst pieces of "entertainment" ever produced.

I'm gonna go ahead and come to the party two days late, if that's alright with the rest of you.

First, I have to say this, Daikatana really came out this decade? Damn, I feel old now.

I guess my worst game might be Lair maybe. I'm a big fan of dragons and dragon games and the game industry's amazing ability to make every game about dragons (except maybe Spyro the Dragon) awful is staggering. Watching Lair get released to parades of threes and fours out of ten on the review scores on a console that I could only dream of owning was crushing, and it destroyed my view of modern gaming for a while. Then they patched it up and fixed a few of the problems, and my friend played it and tried to convince me it wasn't that bad, but I was so bitter and jaded that I didn't give it a chance.

I suppose I can't legitimately say it's my "worst game" since I've never actually played it (only seen it three years later) and I'm sure there are worse things out there, but it gets an honorable mention at least.

Stranger. The game that takes all that's wrong with RPG and RTS and combines them into a game that was voiced by the companies janitor and a difficulty curb like a 90 degree angle. Virtually unplayable pile of shit and I payed about 60$ for it!

Biggest disappointment definitely Fallout 3. Even more than Oblivion for me. Troika died and then. then this! This was their legacy? This is what people are going to remember the most about fallout? sigh :(

Eleven pages in and thank the good Lord that someone has posted Perfect Dark Zero. That game stacked the fail onto fail like I have never seen before. I don't know where to begin to point out just how atrocious this game really is.

First of all, the original is of course a legendary game. It was a game brimming with originality and every detail was executed to what was the perfection of that day.
Of course, when the original is stocked with an interesting story and a ton of great ideas, it's cherry picking time when it comes to doing the sequel. You can leave everything the same and just do a graphics update and add some new missions to please the fans, you can take the good stuff and go in a new direction. I mean: Need I continue? How hard can it be to not mess up a classic?

Really now, considering the endless possibilities of greatness, Perfect Dark Zero is what they came up with?
This generic piece of sh? The story is completely unrelated! Nothing remains from the original game!
In the end Perfect Dark Zero is a pretty damn cheeky title, because that is exactly what they did. They took ZERO from the original, started from scratch and came up with a borderline unplayable game with a 10c storyline and the worst graphics on the Xbox 360.

I can forgive a very mediocre game, but not when a great title is handed to the devs on a golden platter, they are given pretty much unlimited means to create something that can at least pass as a videogame and they come up with this? Get out of here. Every person that worked on that title deserves to be shot.

And since it was almost the only title available at the launch of the 360, they even were rewarded with some very good sales and decent reviews.

my dad made a bad move buying it for the Wii. at least he learned to know better than to buy Movie tie-in games.

Worms 3D. Not only did it ruin the near-perfect gameplay of the previous Worms games, it also spawned three or four sequels. It just wasn't fun.

Other contestants would include GTA4 (again, for ruining the winning formula of previous GTA games), Halo 2 (for being altogether bland), Far Cry 2 (there is such a thing as too much realism), Tenchu: Dark Secret (an atrocious game that could have been good but let down on almost every aspect), MMORPGs such as WoW or MapleStory (there is no point to such games, why play them when all you will get is a virtual character level 70/80/90/200?).

Also, FarmVille/FishVille/ZooWHATEVER on Facebook. They are hardly worthy the title of "games" and should never have been.
