Your Zombie Plan?

I'd take the Commando route. Firstly, humvee. Then go 'shopping' at an army surplus store and stock up on automatic and high impact weaponry (Loadout would likely be - AK47, Desert Eagle, Combat Shotgun and as much ammo & grenades as i can carry). Then i'd high tail it to a butchershop and pick up some raw meat as bait. Then to a grocery store to stock up on non-perishable foods.

My safehouse would have to be somewhere high up, as stairs would likely be a problem for zombies and gives me funnel points as well, i can also use the meat to distract groups and take them out with grenades. Lighting would be restriced to candles or fires. Most importantly of all, if anyone is with me, if they are dumb enough to get caught - their problem not mine it's every man for themselves.

Some where in the last couple decades, if you saw a movie, played a video game, or read a book you were most likely entertained by the undead. Near every living person has at some point at least heard of the living dead, and that sparks a conversation. "What would you do, in case of zombie apocalypse?".

To aid you in further discussion i have here the two most common types of zombie.

#1. The Infected. these "zombies" are mindless raving animals much like mangy dogs, they dont need to eat human flesh they just need to eat, and there not to picky about what. In truth they aren't dead but living people horribly afflicted with a rabies like unnamed disease that killed 75% of the population before it could be classified. Of the 25% that remain, only 2% are truly immune and the partially immune have become the "zombies". The disease targets the nervous system shutting down the ability to feel pain and reason making them irritable and lacking in any sense of self preservation. If zombies did exist they would most likely be the infected.

#2 The Undead. Weather by evil necromantic magics, cosmic radiation, or old testament apocalypse the dead raise from their graves to feast on the flesh of the living (specifically the brain). You got to shoot them in the head or their decayed flesh will eventually catch up to you with a horde of moaning furry, and don't let them bite you, you'll turn into one. They don't think they don't feel, and they may look like your favorite Aunt Leslie, but they'll hunt you down tirelessly till you drop.

So what would you do? How would you survive? Would you try and survive alone or group up? Whats more important food, shelter or weaponry; if you could only pick two? Which zombie apocalypse would you rather face, the undead or the infected?

I guess what I'm asking here is, Whats You Zombie Plan?

so basically, a smaller horde of fast zombies vs. a horde/mass of slow zombies

well, I already have my survival kit ready, mine includes a shotgun, 2 handguns, 1 baseball bat and a machete. My friend's includes something similar plus a viking axe (yes he has one)

Take car. Go to mum's. Kill Phil - "Sorry!" - grab Liz, go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for all of this to blow over. How's that for a slice of fried gold?

My house is fairly zombie-proof.

Front: - About 8' off the Road with only access being steep and narrow stairs same with my neighbours. So I can easily block that up with a sturdy gate.

Rear:- Very small patio with steps leading up to a narrow back lane. So could block the steps and the lane itself up somewhat to help prevent zombies coming to the doors.

Food:- Terrace housing so I could get food from going into different houses via the attic. Else I have a Spar and another small local shop to grab stuff from. Failing all else go hunter/gatherer on the mountains.

Water:- As above plus fresh water from mountain stream(s).

Power:- Loot the generators from the Garage/what not. Loot fuel from the Parked cars.

Weapons:- Might be obtainable. Mainly shotguns/Air rifles, but I could make spears and shit.

Doesn't matter what type of Zombo it is my tactics should work fine with either - Not Close to the graves and most people that live near me are too old to be threat if they were to become infected.

I haven't thought this out at all.

I work in tesco and my plan most recent plan hinges around staking out at work. Loadz of food and supplies in there. I need to purchase something to use as a weapon, there's nothing there of real use and i havn't got much at home other then tools and a nun-chuck.

Yay! Somebody who will end up at tesco's with me!
Oh and also the things in I am Legend were vampires lol (Can't go in sunshine and they follow the scent of blood) even says it in the book!

Well, get some weapons of course. How you would do that with the streets being full of zombies and all, I have no idea.

Go to a shelter, broadcast your location on every tv and radio station, on the internet, etc an when you are SURE you and some other people are the ONLY survivors together, bomb the rest of the world preferably without radiation effective bombs.

Now for the fun part, RE-POPULATION!!!
