Not about myself, but I convinced my girlfriend's mother that a "bear roll [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXUcOei3FUM]" is something unspeakably filthy, but never went into specifics.

That I've got a decent chance in a gun fight. I like guns, but in all reality, I've only ever fired a .22LR and some airsoft guns (which kicked about as hard, amusingly enough), and tend to break down if I'm in a dangerous situation.

I may or may not still be lying. I haven't decided yet. I wonder if my new knife's gonna come today.

I went away on vacation unexpectedly and convinced several people that I was In the hospital.
MAN did that one backfire...
Dammit, now you got us all curious!
Well,I didn't tell anyone I was leaving, just to see what would happen, and some botch started a rumor I was in the hospital.I sent around an e-mail saying that I was alive. that was it.People don't react too kindly to you when the only injury you got was a mild sunburn.

That I do care for other human beings at all.
I did that one once. I got bored right around the time people started telling me their problems.

I don't lie much on the internet, though. I prefer to lie in real life.

I'm not sure of the longevity of this thread, but : I had people convinced i was my own twin for 2 years.
That would be an awesome party trick. I wish I could do that, unfortunately I'm a guy and I've got a twin sister so people would have a hard time believing it.
Not after a bit of surgery, they won't...
Mmmm... I'm just gonna call my sister, my surgeon and my girlfriend. Hang on a moment...

That I was full blown emo . . . it was cool back then . . .

That the scars all across my back are there 'cause my parents whip me and/or I'm a member of opus dei (or whatever that one guy was in The Davinci Code) . . .

Oh, and recently, that I'm an asian canadian jew from california . . . 1 of those facts are half true.

That I'm a cat . . .

That the scar on my stomach (Which conveniently makes it look like I was shanked) was actually from me being shanked . . .

We told a friend of mine that her car horn stopped working because she was out of horn fluid. She went to an auto parts store asking for horn fluid and was embarrassed. She was good humored about it afterward though.

Oh wait, about myself?

Ummmm.... I often convince myself that I have more money in my bank account than I actually do.

I've convinced non-aussies that the drop-bear is our national animal, the aussies here will get the joke.
I'm not Aussie, but is that a reference to Koalas falling out of trees?

Edit: Never mind. It has a Wikipedia article.

Fucking hysterical.

"EV Nova, an Australian-designed 2002 computer game from Ambrosia Software, contains attacks from alleged drop bears in Auroran Empire space. These drop bears are actually young Auroran warriors in disguise. Buying "Drop Bear Repellant" from various Auroran outfitters marks your character as gullible, and increases the chances of a drop bear attack."

You have no idea.

Ever convinced an American to eat Vegemite? It's hilarious, I've done it myself.
