The Pope is not evil. :-(

(I feel like I should add "good review otherwise," as I did enjoy it apart from that, but it seems like such a small thing to tack on compared to my opening statement...)

To be honest, I agree with Yahtzee. Although I did enjoy the game, because I played with my 360 controller, this game was designed around it, which explains the awful controlls Yahtzee was having, I tried sweeping with my mouse... Good god.

Anyway, even though it has it flaws, (for example, the Overlord could walk a teenzy bit faster...) I still did enjoy the game, BUT, Overlord 1 was way better. WAYY BETTER. I suppose it was my expectasions or something or they tried a bit too hard and had a bit too many gameplay elements, Overlord 1 was mindless, evil, freaking awesome fun.

The game is riddled with sloppy controls and a bad camera to boot, but on the other hand it is still a fun game if you can overlook its faults.

I bought the first game for the PC when it was on offer on Steam. I had the same gripes for that game that Yahtzee has for this one (i never finished it by the way). Glad to know i'm not alone.

Any game that lets you control enormus hoards of minions an then puts you in a linear environment has got to be bad.

I hope he reviews Evil Genious next week, I loved that game, particularly making elaborate traps and watching them all go horribly wrong as your own minions get killed.

Good God and here's me thinking I'm some kind of mutant for not enjoying Overlord, a game hailed as the next coming of Dungeon Keeper!

About that comparison though, there's a pretty big difference between Chaotic Evil and Lawful Evil, exemplified by Joker and Darth Vader respectively. GET YOUR NERD ON!

I enjoyed it, but the world was a lot smaller than I expected. There were only four towns in the entire game plus humans and elves so it actually felt smaller than the original despite selling itself as bigger. That said, I still enjoyed it and I love their sense of humor. Finally, what moral choice system? Your either evil and kill people, or evil and send people off to die for your amusement.

I bought Overlord 2 and I loved it. Played it through to the end, barely had any control or camera problems. Only frustrating moments were sailing and the reds and blues running up to close combat for no reason for me. I found the review entertaining and funny but you were too harsh, hard on the game.

I have a chair called Mitch too!

I'm not sure what to do when I want to sit down though, I don't want to inconvenience Mitch and Lucy has enough on her plate what with being married to Tommy the time travelling talking toaster...

There's a huge difference between Lawful and Chaotic Evil! Lawful Evil is like being a lawyer. You twist customs and traditions already in place to your benefit, eventually leading up to some overarching goal (usually world domination, or somesuch). Chaotic Evil takes all those traditions and instead just defecates all over them.

I love D&D.

I have to say the old spark of his hilarity is coming back, not that he hasnt been funny this whole time.
