[Sparrow always hated it when he had to turn back into a human. It hurt. Quite a lot. He had noticed it becoming less painful though, but Sam didn't take to it too lightly. He had growled in pain, clutching his head.

It was only then he had noticed the difference between them. Sam's form was much stronger, and bulkier than his. His transformation had basically ripped his clothes in two. Sparrow almost felt out-matched by him. Of course, this didn't change the fact that Sparrow was much, much faster than Sam, and further on in his growth. For now, he was overall the strongest of the two, though he doubted it would take long for Sam to catch up with him.

Sparrow heard Robin whine out in pain, and he noticed the wound on his side. He had done so much for both himself and Sam, the least he could do was carry him. He picked up the dog lightly, and propped him over his shoulder. Robin fell asleep almost instantly, as Sparrow recieved some strange looks from the rest of the wolves. He had to cover, so he decided to lie.]

Don't worry brothers, this is my lunch.

[Aw man, I didn't want to become the 'big meat.' Ah well, I'll think of something.]

Samuel grinned at the comment Sparrow made. It was strange, to be in a community with wolves, and to walk among them as they did. Samuel had shot many wolves, killed a few with his bare hands, and now they acted as his brothers, his friends.

THey reached the same hall with the altar. High-Mane stood behind the altar, still shaking off the remnants of his fur. He was huge It looked out of proportions now that he was human. High-Mane didn't indulge in fancy speeches this time. He just said:

Hunt, my brothers and walked away, a small group of wolves following him. A few were marked with the white stripes he had come to recognize as the tribal signs. They gave a wolf the power to tund into a wolf at night, even the ones without a full moon.

He and Sparrow followed the wolves out of the building. They all seemed to know where to go, and Samuel had no clue. The day was gloomy and gray. Clouds hung over the plains, and the wolves tset off to the west, the opposite direction Samuel had driven from. The car still stood, but he had made it so that it looked like it was abandoned for quite some time now. But he had made a mistake. The scent, the overpowering fragrance of human came of the vehicle.

The wolves didn't pay attention to it. They set off into the direction where the scent of petrol came from. Samuel ran with them. he had been broader than Sparrow had been after the first infection, but that seemed to lessen a bit. He had shrank about a centimeter after he turned into a human again. Perhapst that was something that came with his first turn.

The pack ran towards 'the shell'as they called it, still intent on finding 'Fire-Arm' and kill him. Probably Kid. They would have to stop them before they acctually get to him. Because from what he heared, the blood moon was something of great power...

[Sparrow followed Sam the best he could, but it was hard to run whilst carrying Robin. Sparrow was just happy to be free, and out of High-Mane's reach. He supposed that he was not comming with them, which could only be for the best. Still, he did not know where to go from here.]

Sam, whats the plan? I mean, we find the guys then just bust these guys heads in or what?

Samuel slowed his run. Sparrow was heaving because of Robin's weight.

"If you want me to carry him just say the word." He said. He thought for a minute, how to best lay his plans out to Sparrow.

"Well, my plan was to wait for this 'Blood Moon', I've heard some talk about it and it seems quite powerful, and take High-Mane on when we're back at the Shel-...APC. Together with the rest of Z.A.S, especially with Portal, Chris and Shar and us two now, we could take him on. The pack would leave us alone, if not another wolf steps up as a leader."

He didn't exactly know where the APC was, only that it was far away in the North. But the wolves seemed to run towards the west, towards the airport and the studio of 1+2 Dog. Samuel wondered if there was a way of warning the group beforehand.

*Shar takes one of the coffee's*

"Woah, i haven't had one of these, in, well, ever..."

*Portal swerves to run over a zombie, the coffee spills all over Shar*

"ARGH! damn it scolds!"

*the stink of burnt zombie fills the APC*

*Shar danced around a bit, getting about 10% of the coffee in his mouth*

"Sh-Sh-sure, i'm on i-i-it!"

*He got up and stood at the turret, praying that that sizzling sound wasn't his flesh*

[Sparrow was unsure of Sam's plan, but he hadn't been wrong yet and he secretly saw him as the leader of the group, so Sparrow simply nodded. He switched Robin to his other shoulder, and held him further up. The position was more comfortable for both of them, and Sparrow picked up his speed. Then, he thought...]

Sam. What if the guys attack us? We look different from the last time they saw us. Not that it'd really matter if they did. You seen the damage I can take?

[Sparrow showed Sam one if his many scars...]

"Yeah, I've seen it. Last time you got a metal spike through the chest. You pulled it out and pounded the zombie who did it to a pulp with it, if I remember it correctly." Samuel said upon seeing the ragged scar running from his right shoulder to his right hip.

He thought about the possibility of the ZAS attacking the three of them. It would be best to single a member out and talk to him or her, instead of speaking to the group all together. It wouldn't be easy to connvince them, but they had to.

The group of wolves marched on 'till sunset. Robin had woken about two hours before. The wound looked a bit less gruesome, and after the blood was rinsed off it didn't look that bad. Samuel could see the lights of the carrier Sparrow had landed. A few people sat around it, and he could see a jeep next to it. He hoped that Hill or Duke weren't there. (FORESHADOW!)

The wolves made a fire, and the moon lifted himself above the horizon. Several wolves, the ones marked with the white signes, started to turn. Samuel fell to the ground when he turned into a wolf. The pain was worse the second time. But he felt good. He had missed dbeing a wolf. High-Mane sat a small ten meters away, and looked at the airport with a trancelike expression. He was preparing for his hunt, probably.

"This night we'll wait, brethren." he said. Samuel was puzzled. Why not attack now? Not that he wanted to, but High-Mane wouldn't do something like that on a whim.

"The blood moon hides, we will wait for it."

[Sparrow sighed]

Blood moon this, blood moon that. These guys might as well marry the freaking blood moon. Erm, what is the blood moon Sam? Sounds pretty evil if you ask me.

[Sparrow began tweaking his shoulder, and stretching off.]

Turning back into a wolf--

[Shift]

Dog.

[Shift]

--dog, really takes it out of you.

High-Mane snapped at Sparrow.

"Silence, pup."

Samuel moved away from the wolf and into the shadows. He shrugged.

"I could guess, But I'm not sure." Samuel said. "Once every three years, yeah I know it sounds cheezy, a natural phenomenon occurs when the moon seems to turn red, only it's the reflection of the sunlight on the surface. We'll see it as a red moon. Perhaps it is tomorrow, I haven't kept time since the last time. "

He looked at the sky, and the still-silver moon. Perhaps the blood-moon would affect them as well. He didn't like this, something happening without him knowing exactly what would happen.

Then another group of wolves moved towards High-Mane. They dragged a body behind him. It struggled.

[Sparrow stared across the barren wastes. It didn't exactly lift his spirits. He stared at the wolves carrying a body toward High-Mane. It was only then he realised that whoever it was, was alive. Sparrow nudged Sam.]

Psst. He whispered, Thats a person, right? As in, they're not dead? You don't reckon they'll eat them, do you?

*Andy surveyed her handywork. Everything that was even remotely explosive or flammable had been piled against the door, and a thin line of petrol led to the foot of the stairwell. She had also fashioned herself a pair of molotov's, using her sleeves and aforementioned petrol. It was amazing, the amount of stuff she'd found in those Panic Rooms - it made her wonder what exactly they were preparing themselves for*

Anything, I suppose...

Andy returned to the stairwell and ascended a small way. She placed the molotov's in her pockets, then took out a box of matches. Lighting one, Andy stared at it for a moment. Then the flame reached her fingers.

Andy threw the match.

*Zapper looked at Chris, who was frowning in the driver's cab of the APC.*

"Are you alright?"

*Chris shook his head,*

"I just felt a disturbance in the force, as if millions of voices cried out 'Well duuuhhh!'. I fear someone has just asked a very obvious question"

:p
OOC: Well thats Sparrow for you, he's a bit simple

Samuel looked in disgust as the body was pulled towards High-Mane. The person was mauled, a bloody and torn face, long and deep gashes across his chest and numerous cuts on his arms and legs. Samuel could see that it was a man. He hoped that he wouldn't be eaten. He couldn't stand seeing a person get killed.

The human was thrown in front of Hign-Mane. He cautiously got up and looked around. He looked frightened, but still had a hint of defiance within his pose. Samuel whispered to Sparrow:

"Do you recognize him?"

He throught that some certain features in his face looked familiair. He wanted to free the person bleeding in front of him, but doing so was reckless and would bust their cover. He throught it better for a stranger to die then all his friends die with him.

[Sparrow looked at the man, or what was left of him. He looked somewhat familiar.]

No. I'm not sure. Maybe. Why, do you recognize him?

[Sparrow almost wanted to try and save the man, but one stranger's life was not worth that of his friends. Still, he couldn't stand by and do nothing. He almost felt as if Sam was thinking the same thing.]

[You can read my mind!]

He saw the green eyes, and the line across his face he recognised. Duke was the broken and mauled shell in front of them.

Letting a stranger die was one thing, but someone who helped them, someone he considered a friend was another thing entirely. If High-Mane attacked Duke he would step in between. Perhaps he would get hurt, but he wouldn't let someone die.

High-Mane leaned forwards and looked Duke in the eyes. He growled,

"Where is the Shell, flesh-being?" Duke looked confused, or at least he seemed confused. His expression wasn't easy to read. Another wolf, one that didn't change, translated it into human speech.

Duke spat at High-Mane. He reclined, whiped the saliva off his snout and punched Duke in his face. He flew twenty feet back. He groaned out of pain. Samuel said against Sparrow:

"Get ready, Sparrow."

And flexed his back legs, ready to pounce.

[Sparrow, don't be afraid to use some action, aye?]

[Sparrow put his right foot foward, ready to pounce.]

You better have a plan. I don't know if you noticed, but I quite like living.

[Sparrow placed Robin on the floor, and instructed him to move a few feet back.]

Alright. I'm ready, on your call.
