Zombie Apocalypse Squad (Cancelled !)

"That would be acceptable." Samuel said. He turned and left the room, just to catch Hunters question. He smiled.

"Hunter, get your campfire, 'cause you're in for a long story."

He sat across the room and told Hunter about when he first met Sparrow, how his brother got infected and what it was, and how they got to their current situation...

[Parents make me go to bed, unhappy. See y'all tomorrow.]

 

[ZapperX]

Zapper sat back on the couch and waited. Waiting. Again. It was all there was to do.

He had noticed something recently. Something about Sparrow. He had become more vicious, more like an animal. It was just like...

HIM.

No. He couldn't let that happen again. He had to be ready to prevent a tragedy.

He would kill Sparrow if he had to.

[Out for now, be back in a few hours.]

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow clenched his chest, and nodded to Samuel as he walked out of the room. He didn't want to discuss his current state with his brother.

He walked out toward the APC, and looked it up and down. She was a state. After being so near to the Warship's explosion, she'd suffered a large amount of damage. Stuck with nothing to do, Sparrow could try to do some minor repairs. He slunk down, underneath the APC's chassis, and began tinkering with the wheel base.

"I suppose you need a name, and I need a new vehicle to hang my hat on."

Sparrow's mind wondered to past films, TV series and games he'd played, that featured an APC.

"Hmmm. Mako. Sounds quite catchy I suppose."

 

[Sparrow]

"True. But what zombie would fuck with a tank named after the favoured vehicle of the savior of the galaxy?"

Sparrow tinkered with the drive shaft, and tapped Chris on the ankle.

"Pass me the wrench."

 

[Sparrow]

"Yeah. If you call a pale-skinned leather wearing dark poetry reading American badass, I suppose you'd be right."

Sparrow couldn't help but laugh. Here they were, in the middle of this hellhole, arguing about the name of a vehicle. Sparrow slid out from underneath the APC, and stood up swiftly.

"There. Give her a rev, Chris."

 

[ZapperX]

Zapper walked outside, hearing Chris argue with Sparrow. As stupid as it was, he decided to throw his two cents in.

"Actually, people hear either of those names, and they'll think, 'these losers think they're cool.' We have to call it something that isn't intimidating, to catch them off guard! How about... DAISY?"

 

[Sparrow]

"Hayden? Good lord Chris, where do you get these names? Teenage Goth magazine?"

Sparrow jumped into the passenger seat, and flicked the Turbo switch.

"I quite like Rose, or maybe Amanda? Hmmm... or hey, why not name it after your girlfriend Chris?"

Sparrow chuckled, he wasn't sure if Chris understood the joke or not.

"Now, give her a spin Chris. I've calibrated the Turbo systems so they operate at a 100% now. Or in otherwords, it actually WORKS now."

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel walked outside, a bag hanging from his left shoulder. He saw the APC with the lights on and the engine roaring. Good, he wouldn't have to walk. He moved around the vehicle and saw the backdoors open. He could hear the voices of Sparrow, Zapp and Chris inside. Perhaps they would make the job easier.

"Alright Sparrow, ready to go?" he said while throwing his bag into one of the racks and walking towards the group. He could feel the moon shining, and was afraid of this night. He didn't know in what cycle the moon was, and he didn't know how that would affect the three, two and a half, wolves.

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow nodded to Samuel. Chris and Zapp seemed confused.

"We're headed out. Quick trip to Maidstone to pick up Sam's family. No hassle, no trouble. You don't have to come if you don't want to, it shouldn't be too hard."

Robin bounded up to the APC, and leaped through the backdoor.

"You two aren't getting out of my sight."

Chuckling to himself, Sparrow petted Robin on the head.

"Alright. Lets go. Your driving then, Chris?"

 

[ZapperX]

Zapper couldn't leave Sparrow with Chris, alone. At this point, Sparrow could overpower Sam, and Chris was a normal human. He'd get torn to shreds.

"I'll drive, Chris, hop in the back, let's go!"

Zapper started the engine and drove away.

"Give me directions, Sam, I've got no damn idea where I'm going."

 

[SamuelT]

"Just follow the road to Maidstone Zapp. It's east of here, but I don't know the route."

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow laughed.

"Sorry, I was too busy piloting a fighter jet to watch TV, Chris."

Samuel turned to Sparrow, and gave him a weak smile.

"Don't worry mate, they'll be fine. If my backward family can survive, yours have probally established a radio tower."

 

[SamuelT]

"Yeah, perhaps. I surely hope so."

The backdoor of the APC slammed shut, making Robin jump. Sparrow patted him again. Samuel looked out of a window at the sky. Thick clouds obscured the moon, making it impossible to see the colour it was. He didn't want to change inside the APC.

Sparrow clenched his chest again, and Samuel wondered what was the matter with him. He had been doing that since they left America. HE hoped it wasn't too serious.

*singing as he drives*

Rising up, back to the top, have the guts, got the glory...
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet, just a man, with his will, to surviiiiiive...

Eye of the tiger, it's the thrill of the fight, rising up! To the challenge, of our rivals...

*swerves to hit a stray zombie*

And the, last known survivor stalks his prey in the night, and he's watching, us all, with the eeeeeeyyyyyyeeee...

Samuel stumbled when Zapp swerved. He heard a dull thump on the APC. ANd heard the cat's shriek that was Zapp's singing.

"Zapp, less killing, more driving!" Samuel said.

Wait...that doesn't make any sense...
