Zombie Apocalypse Squad (Cancelled !)

[Sparrow]

Sparrow noticed straight away. He had hightened senses after all.

"Samuel. Look, mines a bit under control that yours. I can keep it in. You can wait outside if you want, I can do all talki--"

Samuel held up his hand, and shook his head.

"Alright man. Alright."

 

[ZapperX]

Zapper stood outside of the APC, using his M16 to pick off the few zombies that Chris had not hit.

"Seventh shot... Right to the head! Seven kills."

He lowered the rifle as soon as he saw the area was now empty. Zapper patted his back to check on the papers. Same place as always, they were still with him. He smiled, and looked up to the sky. He saw the moon peek out from behind the clouds.

"What a beautiful moon. You never really get to appreciate this stuff, huh Chris?"

Moon...

Wait...

Moon? Controls the tides of the Earth's oceans and works in cycles based on the amount of light it receives, from new... to...

Full.

"Shit."

Chris yelled out to him, "What's that Zapp? I didn't hear-"

"Chris!!!" Zapper was frantic, "Sam went to get his family, right? Which way did they go?"

He had to keep them from killing. No more tagedies.

 

[SamuelT]

[Sunset? With a cloudy sky and in the night? Sure. I'll roll with it.]

Greg stopped in front of a wooden door, the door to the bedroom. Their bedroom. He grinned and stepped inside with a wink. The moment he shut the door Samuel fell to his knees. The pain was unbearable.

"Sparrow. Get...me...away..." He spat through clenched teeth. He could hear a squeel of exitement from inside the room. At the same time Samuel let out a scream of pain. It was happening...

"Call Chris...Get out of here..."

 

[Sparrow]

"Oh fuck."

Gregory gave Sparrow a stunned look.

"Stand back."

Gregory did not move, so Sparrow threw him through the door. He grabbed Samuel by the temples, and applied force.

"Can you feel that? Can you feel that?"

Samuel said nothing. He couldn't feel the pain. He was too far along for Sparrow to do anything.

"We've got to leave."

 

[SamuelT]

Samuel saw Sparrow look at him, his hands at both his temples. He spoke, but Samuel couldn't understand. He could feel his skull lengthen, his arms and legs twist, his tail growing. It was hurting like hell.

It took a minute, but it was a years worth of pain compressed. He opened his eyes again when the pain stopped. He stood, looking around. Sparrow was still standing in his human form.

Quick, call Chris! Now! He said to him.

Then he saw the barrel of a shotgun right in front of his eyes.

"Not so fast, mutt."

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow lifted the radio up to his ear, as Gregory lifted the double-barrel shotgun. The scene almost seemed to happen in slow motion, as Sparrow dropped the radio to the floor and stepped inbetween Samuel and Gregory.

He didn't see it comming, as the shotgun jerked backward, and the sound ringed it his ears. The force decimated his ribcage, and ripped through his lungs.

 

[ZapperX]

Zapper ran as fast as he could, calling for his friends.

"Sparrow, Sam, if you can hear me, tell me where you are!! SPARROW! SAM!!"

He heard a gunshot. It wasn't much, but it was the best lead he had right now...

He ran towards the source of the gunshot, howling in pain as he began his half transformation.

 

[Sparrow]

Zapper ran as fast as he could, calling for his friends.

"Sparrow, Sam, if you can hear me, tell me where you are!! SPARROW! SAM!!"

He heard a scream of pain. It sounded like...

"SAM!!!"

He ran towards the source of thee scream, howling in pain as he began his half transformation.

[Bad idea. Me and Sam have got something planned. Just hear the shotgun go. Nobody screams. Not even Sparrow.]

 

[ZapperX]

Zapper ran as fast as he could, calling for his friends.

"Sparrow, Sam, if you can hear me, tell me where you are!! SPARROW! SAM!!"

He heard a scream of pain. It sounded like...

"SAM!!!"

He ran towards the source of thee scream, howling in pain as he began his half transformation.

[Bad idea. Me and Sam have got something planned. Just hear the shotgun go. Nobody screams. Not even Sparrow.]

Don't worry, I plan to arrive at your location RIGHT AFTER everything goes down. And fix'd.

Samuel got pushed out of the window just as Greg pulled the trigger. He broke the glass and wood, hitting the ground quite hard. The air was forced out of his lungs. He heard a yelp of pain and an evil laughter. He feared the worst. He ran out to the front door and opened it with one bash.

He almost vaulted up the stairs and saw Greg looking Sparrow in the eye. His ribcage had been torn open, and blood was splattered everywhere. He still managed to look with a grin.

"You lose..." He said when he saw Samuel. Greg looked behind him and was shocked to see a two meters tall wolf standing in the house. Mary looked with a horrified expression. That stung.

Samuel walked towards Sparrow. Greg didn't reload but ran towards Samuel, gun lifted like a club. Samuel swatted him away, letting him fly through a door. He knelt at Sparrow.

"You alright, bud? Can you heal this?"

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow gasped for air.

"Yeah. You can heal two shotgun rounds to the chest"

He laughed, bad idea. That really did hurt.

I suspect the same thing, as my character has thought about.

Zapper's running slowed, and he collapsed on the ground. He couldn't run, he was in too much pain. His fingernails, teeth, and hair all grew slightly, and he let out a ferocious howl.

As the pain subsided, he caught his reflection in a piece of glass on the ground.

His left eye was now yellow, while his right one was still bright blue.

Nice touch, he thought.

He continued his run to the gunshot.

"Good. Let's get you out of here." Samuel said. He gently picked up Sparrow. He groaned. "I know, I know. It hurts. But I've got to get you out of here."

He walked through the now-filthy hallway. Mary still stood horrified, looking at the beast that was once her husband. Samuel regretted this, but he had expected it. It made it durable.

He walked down the staircase.

"Hold on, you son of a *****!" someone shouted. Samuel didn't stop, he knew it was Greg. He heard another shot behind him. He hunched to shield Sparrow and felt the bullets his his back. He turned fiercly.

"Hang on, hang on..." He whispered to Sparrow. Samuel ripped a wooden board of the wall and threw it at Greg. He was no longer his father, he was prey. The board broke his left arm. Samuel turned again and moved through the door and out of the house.

Zapper heard faint shouting, he was getting close. Soon he'd be able to h-

He spotted zombies.

No hurt in a little hunting before he went to help, right?

He grinned, growled, pulled his sai, and pounced.

 

[Sparrow]

Sparrow layed motionless in Samuel's arms.

"It's always good of you to put on a brave face Samuel. Even when I'm like this."

Samuel didn't respond.

"Don't worry. It hardly hurts."

Samuel still didn't respond.

"I've done some bad things in my life Samuel. Maybe you have too. It seems so. It makes us similar. Infact, we're very alike."

Samuel frowned, slightly.

"Our only difference is our optimism. I don't want you to lose that Sam. It makes you human. I'm a lost cause. I'm not human. I lost my human side when I had to kill nine families Sam. The war in Iraq... the virus spread to there. The army decided to kill them before they became a problem. Not just the infected though. Anyone related to them."

Sparrow felt what was left of his blood, drip down his side.

"I had to. It was selfish. Either that, or my family would be done in. It was obvious the army was collapsing. I never told my family. Everytime I look at them, I feel nothing but guilt."

Samuel's face remained emotionless.

"My family, is your family Sam. You don't have one now, and I can't even look at mine."

Samuel looked at Sparrow.

"For me. Please."
