Another 20 minutes of driving had gone by for the three men. Strangely, little had happened sicne they first entered Switzerland. No zombies had been found, nor corpses. Zapper even thought he heard some wildlife from time to time. The three were searching for any sort of laboratory. Zapper thought that it was eerily calm, like someting else had killed everything and hid it away. But who would be able to do that? Who had the manpower?
His question was answered immediately.
Jacque was knocked from his motorcycle by a hairy, shadowed figure coming from behind. His motorcycle veered off the road as the two of them toppled to the ground in a thrashing mess. Pierre immediately drove to the two of them, shouted something in French, and shot the mysterious figure in the back three times. The figure rose and stabbed something into Pierre's chest. Pierre dropped his shotgun, gripped his torso, and fell the the ground, bleeding out. Jacque was now back on his feet, and stabbed his rapier through the murderer's head. At first, it seemed that he had won, but the shadowed man turned with his weapon out, slashing Jacque's throat.
"Only one thing can survive atacks like that... It's a werewolf! Shit!" Zapper muttered to himself, "But I have a trump card!" In a flash, his two silver sai were drawn, and he charged at the wolf. He ducked under a slashing claw, and stuck both weapons into his opponent's heart. He jumped back to allow the beast to fall, but he never did. He only howled in pain, then sprinted to Zapper. Unable to react, he was backhanded and sent flying away.
"What the- Those sai were dipped in silver! No wolf can survive silver but... But..." His eyes widened in realization and shock. "HIGH-MANE!!!"
"That's right, boy... So nice to see you recognize me. I'm finally going to get to finish the job I should have finished a long time ago!"
"I've had enough of you! You've caused too much suffering! You don't deserve to live!" He ran at High-Mane, fury in his eyes.
"And you don't deserve to kill me!" High-Mane extended his claws. Zapper approached his foe and threw a right hook...
...That fell short of High-Mane's jaw. The monster laughed at him. "You failure! Now you die!" He began to bring his claws down, but too slowly.
"Time for you to go!" Zapper yelled at High-Mane. He slammed his left hand into his right one, forcing a hidden needle into High-Mane's neck. High-Mane's body went limp immediately. He barely muttered out his last words, "He found... An antidote?" before dying.

Zapper moruned the whole way to the lab, saddened by the loss of his two friends. But he would be getting a friend back today, that much he knew.
It took him a half hour to set everything up inside the lab to resurrect Portal. When it was finally ready, he prayed and stuck the apparatus into the machine to clone him.
"COME BACK PORTAL! LIVE!!! LIIIIIIVE!!!"
He looked on to see...
