"So, being a Bixler means being killed? I think you might just be correct," Alan said, watching screen. After a few minutes he started to sweat and breathe heavily, the pain was starting to get to him. "Now I'm starting to ponder if that IV affects both my physical and emotional pain...this is actually starting to bother me somewhat." he muttered.

"It bothers you because you know you can't use the you don't understand argument for what you see. She knew everything you did and possibly more, but she continued. She DID something with her immense knowledge, and you did nothing. Your aunt fought until her dying breath to find a solution to the problem she had created, a true scientist and an admirable person, and she left it all to you thinking you would continue her work and do the right thing. I am now not telling but asking you to translate the note if for nobody else than for her. If you don't her death will have been in vain, and I personally think she deserves something better than a meaningless death. See this through her or my eyes for just a second, and tell me that you wouldn't do what we are doing now." Jack said quietly.

"Please Alan, just translate the note. If you don't want to continue, that's fine, but I would like to try and continue where she left off. Please Alan, just translate it."

"And now you're trying to make me feel a lot of guilt to get me to do what you want," Alan replied, looking over at Jack, "Also, I do plan on continuing, just not going to have you be any part of it. Especially with what is written on the note! It's just so damn important and I find it funny that I know what it is and you don't."

"I'm not trying to make you feel guilty, I'm telling you the truth of your actions. You hid when you could have fought, argued when you could have helped, and sat on the sidelines when you should have been in the middle of it. I don't plan on continuing it myself, I simply don't have the expertise required. I know many in the biotechnology community who would kill for this information to stop what is happening in the world. Your actions don't speak of one who wants to help, they speak of one who wants to hide. Please translate the note before more people around the world die unnecessarily. This has spread to the world, and I don't trust you to continue you it. Please just tell me the meaning of the note, or give me one good reason to trust you." Jack continued quietly.

"A good reason to trust me? Well, I don't kidnap people, twice I might add, and torture them like you seem to be so inclined to do," Alan replied angrily, his temper rising with the pain he was feeling.
"Face it Jack, you're not going to know what the note says! It's not even important. It's a recipe for sticky toffee pudding."

"Yes with your dying breath your aunt the biotechnologist leaves you a recipe. I don't know much, but I know more than that. By the way, I don't want to kidnap you again and again, with your reluctance you force me to. How many times before now did I simply tell or argue with you to tell me. You have left me with no other options, now tell me what the note said." Jack continued perfectly calm.

"Left you no other options. Bah humbug! And for your record my aunt was well liked because of her sticky toffee pudding recipe. I can see why she left the recipe," Alan replied rudely.
"You wanna know what it says? Maybe it's like the secret messages written in lemon juice! Or it might just be the type where you have to put it up against a mirror to read it! Hey, did you know that if you write 3.14 on a piece of paper and hold it up to a mirror it says 'pie'?"

"It's good to know you can belittle the death of a family member in a time like this. This is why I don't trust you, you don't seem to grasp the complete importance you carry. If you die, who will carry this on? Considering you managed to get yourself kidnapped three times and god knows what else, your death seems like an inevitability. Tell me what the note says, that way if your family does get killed at least other people with the knowledge to work with these notes will have the ability to do so. I don't care if you like me or not, I only plan to live long enough to get the information to the scientific community anyway. So just please tell me what is on the note so I may leave you in peace." He responded.

"No! And you know what? I'm going to stop talking to you now. There is just no point in evening bothering with you anymore. So silence start when I finish this sentence," Alan said before shutting his mouth and looking at his surroundings, ignoring Jack and the screen.

Jack made sure to just continue holding his eye open. Replaying the video over and over while continuing to keep the IV fluids from reaching Alan.

"Sooner or later you will tell me what the note says, and then you can go anywhere and do whatever the hell you want without thought to me ever bothering you again. The sooner you tell me, the sooner your torment can end. How long you hurt is up to you." Jack continued with small phrases like this for multiple repetitions.

"Fine," Alan said reluctantly after a few minutes. "It says that as of now she was found nothing that can make an anti-viral, but on her computer, hidden underneath the...chair? I think that's what it says. It continues, saying that her lap top is there and it says more exact information then the notes is located there. The password is...41.3Darren. Oh I get! She fucking loved that movie. Can I have some of that painkiller now?" Alan asked with defeat, clenching his teeth from the sharp, aching pains.

Everything he said was a lie, except the password. 'But that's only part of the password I use on my lap top,' he thought, hoping that when Jack went to go check he would be able to escape.

Jack left him entirely hancuffed and continued to hold off the painkiller. He took alan and place him on the floor under his knee as he checked what he had said.

"You've lied to me before Alan, the same trick doesn't work twice. No painkiller until I can see everything." He punched in the password and got an invalid message.

"You were holding back on me Alan, tell me everything or you get nothing." Jack said while keeping Alan completely pinned with his hands and ankles cuffed and Jack's knee digging in between his shoulder blades. He continued to keep the IV from giving Alan the painkillers he wanted.

"Ack! Damn, I really wanted to quote that one scene from Dexter where he escapes," Alan said, his voice cracking.

"Well, if you want the whole truth that laptop has no information on it. Was meant to be a decoy that people would check. Check for yourself: '2321JB_66'. It brings up that one thing from Jurassic Park," Alan laughed when Jack did it.

"See, I can be truthful!" he said, managing another laugh.

"Funny, I must admit. Now will you please just tell me what the note actually says so I can get you out of my hair please?" Jack replied.

"Hmm let me think about that," Alan replied, not talking for a good ten minutes. "Yeah, it's still a no," he told Jack after deciding he wasn't going to give up.

"Fine, now I have to be sadistic." Jack said as he released the painkillers for a minute before stopping the flow again.

"Tell me and this can all finally fucking end." Jack said to him.

"Jackie-boy I appreciate the little dose you gave me. However I'm still not going to tell you. You should just give up and go home...preferably if that home is in a horde of zombies," Alan replied to Jack, calming down for a few minutes.

"You know what I've wanted to do for a while now. It's this, and to know you'll actually feel all of it." Jack said as he grabbed Alan by the hair and slammed his face onto the floor, before saying.

"Get the fuck over yourself you spoiled little brat."

"Ah!" Alan yelled, spitting out some of the blood in his mouth. "Please sir can I have some more?" he asked with a laugh maniacally, "And why don't you fall off your high horse there?"

"To fall off you have to have one to begin with. I know I'm worse than most people involved in this, but I'm still a better person than you. Hell I may be worse than Christie, but fuck, I'm still better than you. At least I'm not a completely useless and bumbling moron who seems to think himself better than everyone else because of some information due to birth right rather than actual deservedness. As a better man than I once said 'I am the sign that points to Paris without actually having been there'. Though I won't do anything to make you bleed again I may just leave a hand print where your cheek should be. Can't be damaging the only part of you that's actually worth something, can I?" Jack bit out.
