Christie helped the last few onto the vehicle before running off back into the smoke. She wanted to know what was happening. There was no way she'd waste ammo on this thing only to get flat-out killed. She ran to the office that Jacobs had showed her earlier. She walked past the secretary. She didn't care for them particularly. She stood outside the office though, courteous enough to wait, giving a salute, while two other men looked over a blueprint of the facility.
"Sir, permission to enter?"
She'd ran from the area covered in soldiers. Struggling away when some tried to guide her, but getting grabbed by the arms and guided anyhow.
Lisa murmured about needing to find someone, but they said nothing. One got a call on their radio and stopped momentarily. She threw a kick at the other man's legs and ran off behind a building.
I know that wasn't smart, but I can't leave yet. I need to find out what happened to the orientation group. Plus I can't leave with the civilians.
She'd ran for a while, it was official they had lost her. She stopped at the back of another building, outside the border. She gasped for breath through her makeshift cover through the sweater, attempting to quiet herself when she saw someone doing patrol. Only to let out a bout of coughs.
