Christie saw his eyes flicker open. Without missing a beat, she cocked her leg back into a stance. She had the nightstick raised and the now electrified taser extended waiting for him to stand.
Come on. Don't make this boring for me.

Jack saw the taser and tonfa and stood up.

"You might not want to do that Christie. It might piss off an old enemy of ours, and a new friend of mine. I'm just as surprised as you are that I turned out to be a special and not some shambling buffoon, so don't think this was any kind of plan." He said as the room started to heat up.

"What the fuck...No. This is impossible. Just die!" Christie growled, swinging the baton to strike him brutally in the face. Less than a second passed before the taser followed, latched to his chest. The heat was sudden but she ignored it as best she could, putting her focus into the swings.

Jack fought back as best he could until the tazer hit him. After he hit the ground the Scorcher appeared and knocked Christie against a wall. Jack got up and said.

"Hold, I don't want her dead yet. As I said, I'm a special, and my ability is that I actually control the zombies. Every single zombie, from the standards to the most powerful of the specials answers to me. It seems I can fight Kaufman and the Bixlers now, and I intend to."

Jack checked his mind to see if he could get the voice of the Slagger, leapers, and commn infected in the forest. He ordered the Slagger to wait underground in the south side of the base, the leapers in the forests to the west and east, and a horde to wait in the forest nearby to the north. He made sure to order them all to be completely silent before turning his attention back to Christie.

"Anything to say before I take my leave?" he asked her calmly.

She spat some blood, enraged beyond belief, her body ached but she forced herself to her feet. She put a hand to her right shoulder that had hit the wall first and felt numb.
"This is far from over, You corpse...," Christie spat, realizing that for the time being her attempts would be futile, "At least let me get back to the base. You don't want this fight to be boring do you? Give me that, then we'll finish this later..."

"I agree, but I was hoping to have a living ally in the fight against the Bixlers. It seems the fact I am dead prevents that, oh well. Don't worry though, you remember my buddy's ability to teleport, well it works on whatever he happens to touch as well. This means you will have full ability to get yourself back to base, or at least, what will be left of it. I do suggest though that you avoid military bases, as they won't be around long. Goodbye Christie, and an inadvertent thank you. Before I forget, I will warn you, I am not a fool and I don't believe myself all powerful, I will make sure I am heavily guarded. You deserve to know that much." Jack said before the Scorcher put a hand on his shoulder and he was teleported back to the base.

He gave the order and the slagger burst from the ground and the leapers immediately jumped the fence. He ordered a scorched earth policy before heading towards the main HQ of the military. He kept the zombies in the forest in the hopes that the survivors would flee to the north and run right into a massive horde. Jack walked up to the building with the scorcher as alarms started going off all around them.

Christie kicked the table in anger.
"You can't even die without pissing me off!" She screamed vengefully, running to the van and starting the ignition. Her arm ached as she changed gears and grabbed the wheel. She hit the gas pedal, the speedometer rising within a matter of seconds as she sped down the road with the sun starting to set.

((Argh, I was just writing a post about all this prep Kaufman had done for the huge horde that was coming! And then my computer screwed up! It was such a beautiful post...Q.Q ))

After hearing the news of a horde coming, Kaufman had started setting his plan in motion. All military personnel were given assault weapons and were to be carried at all times until the horde was dealt with. There were more guards patrolling to parameter than normal, keeping watch for any zombies. The civilians were prepared to be moved down south to the nearest town until the base was safe again. Kaufman had just finished talking to Alan and Adries about them not staying if any problems occurred, giving them a small map and the location of a safe place they can stay at.

"Well this fucking sucks. Less chance of me getting the notes which means even more time spent having to do all the research auntie Julia did," Alan said bitterly, watching Kaufman leave and turning to Adries.
"Well yeah that does suck. I hate not ever being really safe. Well, I'll go tell Lisa and Uncle Al," Adries said, about to get up before being stopped by Alan.
"Actually, before I forget and in case I don't get another chance..." Alan said, getting a few small things out and a needle.
"Finally going to find out eh?" Adries asked, pulling up her sleeve and sitting back down.

Later on, when the attack started...

Chaos was taking over the base as the infected attacked. The soldiers were doing their best, but were quickly being taken out by the infected. The civilians had been driven out as soon as the attack started.
Adries was running past all the soldiers, making her way to the clinic to get Lisa. She barged in, almost crashing into Jacobs.
"Holy shit sorry. Oh, I was actually going to look for you. I'm supposed to get you and a few others and get you guys to that safe place," Jacobs said.
"Ah, cool. Alright. Well let's get Lisa then. I already have Uncle Al and Alan being taken to the truck...so yeah," Adries replied, walking past a few injured soldiers.

Lisa struggled with the soldiers that Dr. Westin ordered her to deal with. She rushed between cleaning wounds, wrapping them and stitching them. She moved her surgical mask in exasperation and took a deep breath. She started dishing out pain-killers, some injected, some given in pill form. She went to the supplies table beside the door to wash her hands again. Her eyes darted to the door with dread expecting more injured soldiers instead seeing Adries and Jacobs.
"Oh hey. Neither of you are hurt, are you?" Lisa asked with some worry as she washed away the anti-bacterial scrub.

Jack moved in the horde from the north. Civilians still in the base would have little chance of escape and anyone who had tried to escape without a vehicle had already been infected. The slagger was destroying every building it came across only heading the building Jack had currently entered. The soldiers attacks were doing little more than annoying it. Jack walked through the building looking in each room for the nerve center of the military forces. He knew if the general was here, it meant if this base was destroyed the military wouldn't be able to communicate effectively and their intel would be severely wounded in both quality and quantity. This would effectively make them chickens with their heads cut off. He would then destroy the other bases and the military would just be wild dogs.

"Come on out General. I know you're here, and I've brought my own bodyguard this time." Jack shouted as he moved through the building. The virus had not only increased his ability to think quickly, plan, and control the zombies. It had also made him deceptively powerful physically as well, he looked no different, but he was much stronger and faster than any human. The virus almost seemed to know he would need the ability to fight with his forces and escape quickly if need be.

"Oh no we're fine," Adries said, looking around and grimacing at some of the wounds, "We're here to take you out of here. This place is going to hell fast."
"Exactly. I'm here to escort you and a few others to safety, or atleast some place we think is safe," Jacobs told her, looking around anxiously.

Kaufman sat down at his desk, idly fixing a few things on it to be perfectly symmetrical. He knew it was the end, he had told his men that the ones who stayed behind would not make it. He was glad to see that his men were fine biding time for the civilians. He took a deep breath and hoped that Alan and the rest would make it out before time runs out.

"Sounds good to me. Are we being transported out or just taken somewhere safe in the base?" Lisa asked, letting her hair down, and drying her hands before leaving with them.
She felt guilty about leaving the situation, but thought the more experienced medics could do her job within a matter of seconds. Anyone with the degree of injury she was dealing with were being sent back out afterwards anyway.

((Yes, I can, we worked it all out behind your back *nervous laughter*. The leapers are the fast running zombies that jump on cars, and the Scorcher was our old friend who could teleport and manipulate flames, the one with the cocky attitude. I went back and looked through the names, so I'm fairly sure they're the ones you gave them. I was infected by Christie via injection and am now my own special brand of infected, a leader, if you will. It just happened very recently.))

Jack made his way to the facility finding the last room. Jack kicked open the door to find the nerve center of the force dedicated to stopping the infection. He gathered all the information he could before ordering the scorcher to burn the place to the ground. The scorcher immedaitely lit the room on fire, Jack now knew where the other bases were in much greater detail than their locations. Without any information, radios, or possible way to call for supplies and airstrikes, it would only be a matter of time before the military fell. He walked through out the base knocking any soldier out of the way. The slagger had destroyed almost half the base and destroyed the empty Headquarters.

"We are getting the fuck out of here," Adries replied to Lisa, waiting for her to finish up, "I don't think there is time to get anything, but there are supplies where we're going, right?"
"Yeah, I believe so. We just have to be really careful. This place is going down fast. We'll head to the very outskirts of the base, which is where the APC we have is. We'll then take that and leave," Jacobs told them, taking out a zombie that had just entered the clinic.

"Is Alan and your Uncle on their way there?" Lisa started, stepping over the body and leading out. She waited for Jacobs to go first, considering that he had a gun.
"Even better, who else is moving out with us? Aside from you and Kaufman obviously?" She asked him.

"Yes my brother and Uncle are already heading over there," Adries said, following Jacobs outside. It was complete chaos outside, with soldiers fighting off all the infected as best they could. The air was smokey again, so they stuck close to Jacobs.
"The general won't be joining us. At least, that's what he told me," Jacobs told her, taking out a zombie that was shuffling towards them. He finished off a jumped that had had it's leg shot off.

Jack decided to see if there weren't any easy infections in the base. He walked toward the clinic, hoping to find some people who would be relatively easy to infect. Some leapers and zombies were sent to scout the way ahead but he didn't slow down as he made his way to the clinic.

Lisa nodded at Adries. She was really nervous, she folded her arms, looking over the bodies of infected and soldiers alike.
"Is it some kind of alteration on 'The captain going down with his ship' d'you think?" She tried to joke weakly. The managed a minute or so of vigilance and slowly making their way through when suddenly a group of large zombies were staggering towards them.
"Y-you've got this right?"

"Ye-yeah. Maybe," Jacobs replied sullenly, taking out a small group of zombies that were making there way to the clinic. He noticed the bigger horde behind them and led them around as best he could, dealing with a few jumpers. He quickly reloaded as they made their way across the side of the base.
