"A spy shouldn't blow their cover by acting out of character. Hell at this point Adries and Lisa might just sigh and say again if you kidnap Alan. You just keep acting as yourself, and when you have eternal life on your side, time ceases to become an issue. I could literally mentally crush every human on the face of the planet and never age a day. The fun of being dead and having a virus rejuvenate the cells of your body." Jack replied.

"Will do. The funny thing is that i can imagine them doing that if I tried. I guess the whole rejuvenation thing could be an upside to being infected though. No old age, no weakness, then again, no heartbeat." She stated.

"Ironically our heart does beat, it's why we bleed when you shoot us. The nerves are dead however, so we feel no pain and the cells regenerate themselves near instantly. We are dead only in the technical sense that we are no longer human and our heart does stop before we change. That is why I call this evolution and not extermination, we are simply a change, not an end." Jack said.

"I'll be damned. I wouldn't have thought. At least an upside on your end is that you know things you can express, unlike most of the other infected. Can you tell me one thing? What is their motivation to attack? When they didn't have guidance? I've always wondered what the drive was."

"Instinct. The infected were given one job, to spread the infection. As time went on people became more resistant to the basic form and the virus evolved to continue spreading. That is why there are fewer shamblers cropping up in the newer infected, and why there will be more like myself and the scorcher. Their minds are still there, and I hope one day to unlock them, but the primitive virus damaged any part of the brain that wasn't instinct. That is why I said time was the deciding factor in the creation of special infected. One day the virus will evolve to the point where the natural defenses of the Bixlers themselves won't be enough to save them. Their weapon works, but there wasn't any way to stop it once the trigger was pulled. The virus is basically a mixture of the evolutionary ability of the flu on steroids with the same communicability and mental affects of rabies." Jack explained.

((Sorry it took so long. Dinner extended to desert and coffee. Then a few hours of talking. >.< ))

Adries took a seat as Jacobs handed out blankets to everyone. Alan told them he'd be sleeping in the APC, not wanting anything to happen to his equipment and not feeling safe in there.
"Well, that's fine. One of us will probably stay with you," Jacobs said, looking at Dewey who had already curled up in his blankets on the floor, "And it'll probably be me."
"I'm not a baby, but I would certainly feel better having someone," Alan replied, taking a blanket.
"Alright then. Good night anyone. Any problems, talk to Dewey or come get me," Jacobs told them.

"It's interesting, it's so intricate and advanced yet somehow something that's so simple at first. In the basis that it starts with flu symptoms. Oh yeah, that reminds me, before I go," Christie reached into one of her jacket pockets and pulled out some neatly folded paper, "Where would you like these notes?"

"G'night." Lisa replied with a short wave whilst unfolding the blanket he gave her. It was a drastic change from where she had slept the previous night. She wasn't particularly tired still but it wasn't exactly warm in the building.

"You can go ahead and hand them over to the survivors. I figure they should know what the symptoms of my change were. If you're ready the scorcher here will take you to the leaper's location and then come back."

Alan sat down near his equipment. He looked at his notes for a bit before setting them down. He desperately wanted to work, but that would take preparation. 'Prep that I simply don't have time for. And putting it away would take awhile,' he thought, opening up one of the cases and looking inside.
"You know...I appreciate that you're working on the cur- wait it's a vaccine right? Well, I'm glad you're working on it," Jacobs told Alan, sitting in the front and idly looking around.
"Yeah. Yeah...I think I will work on it a bit. At least do something," Alan said, giving into the temptation and taking a few things out of the case.

Adries found a place to sleep behind the desk, lying down and staring at the wall in front of her.
"Lights off?" Albert asked them, getting a yes from Adries and Dewey.

"I'm all set to go." Christie replied putting the notes back with a nod before leading out, "I'll see you whenever I see you then. I'm sure at some point you'll be watching though."

Lisa nodded to him, sitting down against a wall and wrapping herself in the blanket. She rested her arms on her knees and got comfortable. The lights went off and she stared into the darkness.

"I'm sure I will." Jack said as the scorcher walked over and teleported her to the leaper's position who immediately left back towards the city. When she was gone he got a report that the second base lied in ruins. It had been an airbase and didn't contain the notes, 'but at least supplies could no longer be airlifted in, and airstrikes would no longer be coming', Jack thought as he himself sat down to finally relax since he was first infected. The scorcher reappeared at his side and stood watch as he sat there.

Hey guys, I just noticed that his RP is still going on and is on page 83 no less! Sorry I stoped posting, school kept piling up and the plot kept moving realy fast. Obviously I'm not in the game anymore, but I am curious about what happened after you guys fought that teleporting fire monster. Am I still alive or did you guys give me a dignified death? What happened to the peopel at Sly High? Is it still standing or was it destroyed? Did other people get reunited with family members?

((Ummm...yea. You're still alive, but god knows where doing god knows what. The school is still standing with people in it but we never go there anymore. The Bixlers are the only ones with family, everyone else except Lisa and her sister Christie is familyless. It's mostly the Jack, Lisa, Christie, Adries, and Alan five ring circus with everyone else as the lead up to the main acts.))

Adries sighed as she looked around the dark room. Her mind was refusing to let her sleep; images of zombies and the base kept her awake. 'I need a therapist,' she thought to herself, turning to face the desk.

Jacobs watched Alan working, quite amazed at how different he was when he was working. He always remembered that Alan was intense when working, but the years since high school had made him forget. He continued to watch, fascinated with each move Alan made.

((If no one else wants to do the summary I guess I can (though I don't really want to :p ). Charles is still alive. I'm pretty sure he's just at the school still.))

Christie exhaled when she realized she was outside. She wasn't a fan of the feeling felt after teleportation. It was a mixture of dizziness and light vertigo.
God I hate that.
The leaper gave a growl before turning and going in the opposite direction. The leaper had been standing not too deep into the forest for cover but she could see a building with the APC outside not too far away. She started off towards the only building in sight, her hands in her pockets; passing the vehicle and going towards the entrance.

Everyone was sleeping peacefully except Albert who was currently on guard duty. He was sitting in the corner near the entrance and looked outside the window when he heard Christie nearing the station. He turned on the lights when he noticed it was her, causing yelling from Dewey and Adries.
"W'at the 'ell man? I was tryin' to get some sleep and then ya do stuff like this and shit," Dewey said, trying to explain but failing due to being barely awake.
"If we're going to turn on the lights you think you can tell us or something? My god, when you turned them on it was like a nuke happened in my dream!" Adries yelled from under the desk.
"Stop complaining," Albert told them.

"...What's going on?...Trouble again?" Lisa asked, clearing her throat and rubbing her eyes from the sudden light. It was the voices that had woken her up not the light.

She stopped when she saw the lights suddenly illuminate at the windows. Someone was standing at the window, so she guessed she'd been seen. Christie smiled smugly before continuing towards to door,

"Seems to be the case," Adries told Lisa after getting up and adjusting to the lights, "Great. You're here now."
"Ma'am," Dewey said, standing up and saluting quickly when he realized it was Christie who had shown up.
"Shoot how the hell did you get here?" Albert asked, lowering his rifle and sitting back down in the corner.

She told Dewey "at ease" before closing the door behind her and strolling forward.
"So. How are we? Good to see you lot survived okay, during that little...clusterfuck? for lack of better word. I myself got out during the confusion, stole a van and some supplies and my final orders were to go here. Car died about 10 miles down the road, I decided to take the scenic route." Christie explained cooly, studying the group.

"Like hell you did." Lisa scolded, now standing and glaring at her.

Dewey looked at her for a moment when she said it were her orders to go here. He pushed it to the back of his mind, deciding that it wasn't important.

Adries was silent, not really sure what she wanted to do. A part of her wanted to beat the ever-loving shit out of Christie, and another part just want to hit Christie with a truck. 'I'd have to substitute an 18-wheeler with the APC, but it could still be an option,' she thought to herself before speaking up, "I don't know why in the world you came here. I mean, really? We fucking know! Fuck, why would you do that?"
