Lisa gave a sigh, conflicted about whether to tell Albert and Alan about the deal now. She worried about what they would say. More about what Alan would say about doing a deal that set back his research and with someone he despised. She tried to clear the nervous look on her face, while she debated with herself silently.

Christie put a thoughtful hand to her mouth.
"Things aren't over between you and I. I'm still pissed about the fact I have left that office building twice now, with injuries that I didn't expect and had deals broken. But, consider me in. You seem to be the best i've got now anyway."

"Let me be the first to say I apologize about the second time, even I couldn't have expected this to come of it all. Though the was just following instinct, and next time we go, I will fight back. I am glad to have you as an ally though, first thing will be to let us both regroup and rearm while that base is destroyed." Jack mentally ordered the zombies not to attack Christie unless attacked themselves, but added they should be wary of her.

"My army will not attack now unless you attack them, but know they will be very cautious of you. You will be watched at all times, and if I suspect you of trying to kill me, I myself will attack."

Jacobs was trying to think about the safety that they'd get when they got to their destination. 'Will it really be safe? What'll happen if we have to move anymore? We can't keep setting up then moving,' he thought, trying to come up with a plan. Everyone was low on morale and he knew it. He looked at the map a few more times, trying to see if there was any other areas that they could go to.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Christie replied, taking her thermos and trying to clear the copper taste in her mouth now that she wasn't in a do or die situation anymore.
"We'll finish what was started when this is over. This seems much more interesting anyway. No offense. So, how am I going to get near to said targets when the time comes? Your buddy going to give me a ride?" She asked gesturing to the scorcher.

"None taken. That was the plan, he teleports you to the outskirts and you just rejoin. Though I think you might like a shower and some food, almost everything in the city is zombified. I figure I would drop you off in the old police HQ and then I get a few things and come back. You can gather whatever information you want from the HQ and nearby city hall while you are there. I figure it is a good place to start before scouting out where your sister happens to be going." Jack said as he and the scorcher walked toward her while the leapers slowly and reluctantly dispersed.

After a few hours of driving they reached a small ranger station in the middle of the wilderness. Dewey slowed down and let Jacobs and Albert go out and scout the area for any zombies. They came back and gave the okay. Dewey parked the APC in front of it, telling everyone that this is where they'd be staying.

Alan looked at his equipment, deciding to keep his notebook on him at all times. Everything else he'd leave here incase they had to leave again. Adries got out of the vehicle and looked around the station. It was pretty small, but it was away from any main roads. She walked inside, noting the exits and the layout.

Christie sat with her legs up on a desk. She'd helped herself to a shower and something to eat before taking to relaxing with some information she'd found around the HQ. She'd not been above breaking into a cigarette vending machine while she waited around to stock up or getting together an arsenal of weapons from upstairs. She was pleased to find some grenades and an even better pistol (not to mention the simple pleasure of an unbloodstained shirt). A few zombies shambled around, keeping an eye on her in a way, barely counting as company while she waited for Jack.

Lisa looked around after climbing out. Feeling good to get some fresh air after her nap. She'd only been asleep for an hour but it was refreshing non-the-less. Then she made her way inside the small station.
"Home sweet home, I suppose."

Jack had had the scorcher take him to a nearby clothing store, where he had found a black business suit. It was far better than the prison clothes he had been dealt and the policeman's uniform before that. He then gathered a few more supplies for Christie before coming back.

"Some medical equipment for you." Jack said as he tossed her a few first aid kits.

"The APC with your sister in it appears to have come to a stop. The leaper recognized everyone involved in my deal including your sister, Alan, and the soldier who was traveling with them. There was also at least one other soldier driving. I figure we teleport you to my leapers location and you head out from there. I will warn you that Adries and Lisa know of what you did, so expect hell from your sister. She apparently blames you even though I told her multiple times this was my choice. They probably haven't told Alan or the others so they will probably keep it that way for a time after you link up, but don't expect a warm welcome for very long. We can head out whenever you are ready." Jack briefed her.

"Mmm, hmm." Christie murmured, finishing what she was reading and taking her legs off of the desk before looking towards him. She gathered the first aid kits and put them in her bag. Leaving one behind and opening it; tending to her shoulder.
"The first aid is just what the doctor ordered, thanks. I'll put up with whatever they throw at me, I wasn't expecting a party to be thrown when I turn up anyway. Guess i can expect a ***** fit from those two. Oh yeah, before I go, what should I say to explain myself? Considering that i'll have to explain how i found them and how i'm not dead and all of those annoying little questions they're sure to bring up? Oh, Sharp suit by the way."

"Hell you can just say you escaped in all the confusion and they would probably believe you. Adries and Lisa already know you were with me, so that would explain your survival to them in a nutshell. To explain why you were there just say you were ordered to rally there, the soldiers probably won't question it, and the civilians won't know any better. Thank you for the compliment by the way, I think that a leader of anything should be well dressed. Even if they are ushering in what most consider an apocalypse. No problem for the medkits, I figure if you're to be an effective spy, you need to be able to move all your body parts with a minimum of pain. You might also want to ave an excuse for the lack of blood on your shirt, just say you changed it before the attack." Jack replied.

"I can understand that. The boss doesn't need to worry about the clothes they wear getting dirty, might as well dress to show that and look good while they're at it. Still, a good choice in suit. That all sounds fine. I'll use those as my excuses. Probably won't be that big a deal if they're yelling at me anyway. You don't need to worry about me and pain either. Pain and I aren't all that familiar with one another." Christie replied, moving her right arm stiffly then standing and stretching.
"Wonder if i'll need to do some acting again? 'Oh sister, I've seen the error of my ways!'" She sniggered a little.

"I doubt she would honestly believe you anyway. You're probably right about the excuses anyway, Lisa will probably try and kill you as soon as she sees you, or she'll at least want to. I wish I could be there when you two meet up again, but I bet I am the only person they would want to see less than you." Jack said.

"Damn, you took my place on their ranking! I was always last before you had to go around and threaten them in a much cooler way than me. Oh, and don't worry about her. She won't kill me. Believe me. Well, i'd like to see her try," She assured him, hitching the bag on her shoulder then half-joking,
"Can't you get the leaper to tell you what happens when we meet up?"

"You read my mind. He can give me the visual, but the audio won't really go anywhere. The audio of your meetings is half the fun, so I probably will let you be. Trust me though when I say I know you can handle yourself against them, and controlling an army of zombies beats being a vigilante cutthroat ***** any day of the week." he joked back.

"Hmm, I think that's the only card that's trumped mine so far, keep in mind." Christie chuckled, "Perhaps I could argue with my sister and Miss. Bixler with sign language too? or I could make it far more physical? Ah then again, it'd be hard to 'join' them if i've knocked them unconscious. Dilemmas, dilemmas. I guess i could just fill you in when I see you next time."

"That might work, but we might not see each other for a while. Something tells me they will do their best not to leave you alone again. I'd prefer not to fight them yet."

"Heh. Well, they shouldn't have locked me up the last time. If they had reacted like adults and given me their weapons and let me take Miss. Bixler with me, i wouldn't have had to get...bad-tempered? and start taking hostages. But I'll be on my par excellent behavior if that's how you feel. Until the fun starts, that is." Christie replied, holding some amusement at remembering the time at the holiday home.

"Oh no, I don't care what you do. I'd just prefer not to fight them yet. I would prefer to save them for last, let the last of the Bixlers see what just happens when one is completely consumed by greed, selfishness, and secrets. All of this is their doing, and I intend to let them feel the full effects of it. You may prefer to fight physically, I prefer to fight mentally, planning, waiting, wearing my enemy down before," Jack clapped his hands together "striking and destroying my enemy."

Christie smiled at that.
"I don't think i have the patience for such an attack myself...But then again we're very different people you and I. Time is definitely on your side here, so what more can I say? Oh and What i meant by the par excellent behavior was that I wasn't going to pistol whip them or anything, Kind of pleased that I don't have to make such a promise after all."
