Zombie High! Survival RP (Started)

"We can just keep pressing all the buttons, sooner or later we'll hit the right one," Adries said, opening up a small compartment next to the door. She looked at the small emergency guide and handed it to Lisa.
"It's time to fulfill your destiny!" she exclaimed.

"Trying to fix trains is my destiny? Truthfully, I did not see this one coming. Maybe yours is to create a toaster that also doubles as a gun or something, seeing how random destiny seems to be. Let's see..." She joked back while thumbing through the manual. She found the section about emergency situations.
"...Maybe pressing all the buttons isn't a bad idea?" Lisa frowned, looking at the page and trying to make heads or tails of the instructions,
"I'll see if i can put the main electricity on and you can look around a little if you want? Nothing interesting going on here for now."

"I never used toasters! I would just put things in the microwave...it was easier," Adries replied, walking around and opening all the compartments.
"Nothing, nothing. A fire extinguisher, nothing...first aid kit. That will be put to good use," she muttered, looking at what it contained, "Bandages. Some gauze. No gummy vitamins..."

"Can never have too much bandage, Adries. As for the vitamins? I think I remember seeing a bottle of them somewhere. Now, this is a guess, but if I..." Lisa thought aloud, pressing a few buttons in front of her then hitting a button under the console.
There was a low-whirring and the lights above them clicked to life after about half a minute.
"Okay, that was pretty easy. Now to learn how to drive a train..."

"You should press the right trigger and steer with the left analog stick!" Adries proclaimed, looking in front of them and pointing to a tunnel a few hundred feet away, "How about we try to get the train over there in the tunnel? It'll be safer than out in the open, or at least it'll be harder for anybody to find. And if we can move it over there then it means we can drive it and...stuff. Yeah!"

((Well Lisa and Adries have decided to leave the station to check an emergency route before leaving. They've found a train that was emergency stopped and they're currently trying to get it to work as a way to escape in case of emergency))

"Well said." Lisa responded, still reading over the instructions, trying to piece together controls, hitting a few buttons after looking up from the book then looking back down.
"Should we detach the carriages and just use one?"

((Jack's been preparing to take out the last two known military bases in his search for the notes. He's looking into them more as a history and explanation of his current existence than for finding a cure or making the virus more powerful. He sees it as more of a bible than a recipe book, so to speak. This makes it valuable enough that no price is to high to obtain them.))

Jack was finally ready to launch his assault on the last two bases. The Slagger and a horde that surely outnumbered the guards of the base ten to one at one base, and Jack, the Scorcher and a horde with at least a five to one advantage on the other. He had surrounded the bases silently and ordered a check of every nook and cranny of every building for the notes before destroying the buildings themselves. Jack ordered the attack as moans and shrieks emanated from the forest much louder than they had ever been before.

The bases were only a few miles apart, and from Jack's point of view the Slagger could be seen somewhat on the horizon. He lead his charge himself, sending two guards flying in each direction as he crashed through the front gates of his base.

((We aren't moving yet. We have to completely redo the kitchen because of some mold that was there. Then we have to put it up for sale and hope we get a buyer. ARGH. And now that we don't have a kitchen all of the food is placed in random areas of the house (making a sandwich requires me to go into four different rooms). Thankfully though I should be able to post more this weekend.))

"Maybe we should keep two," Adries said after thinking for a moment, "I mean, there are six compartments along with this one, so we'll get rid of half. I guess I'll go and take them off. Two seconds."
Adries jumped out onto the gravel, dusting herself off again before walking down along the train. When she got to the fourth compartment she jumped in between it and the third. She looked at the holding mechanism, realizing it was a bit different than those in the movies. She fussed around with it for a few minutes before successfully unlocking it.
"Goodbye fourth, fifth, and sixth compartments," she muttered as she walked back to the front of the train.

Dim lights. they flicker repeatedly. A lone body shoots upward. the person rubs his head and looks at his watch.

"Where am I?" the kid mutters.

He takes out his phone before checking his surroundings. He was in a train, surprisingly empty. Then he remembered that he gets off at the last stop. He's usually by himself. Then he hits himself in the head, remembering that his phone doesn't get service on the subway. But it was still on. He checks the date. His heart races at the revelation.

"Whatever happened, it knocked me out for several weeks!" he says fearfully.

Then a low, lone voice made him jump, giving his dark skin goosebumps. He rushes to the subway door and tries to pry it open. he opens it enough to get out of the car, and sees an young girl walking towards the first car of the train. He calls out to her, hoping she isn't hostile.

((I'm so happy I don't have to X-mas shop. It seems so stressful. Ordering things online so much easier. ))

Adries skipped along, kicking a few rocks over the edge of the bridge. She heard a crunch of the rocks behind and immediately brought out her pistol, crouching down and looking at who it was.
"Stop right there or I'll fire," she said sternly.

The boy quickly raises his hands, showing no harm.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Calm down, miss. I just want to know what's going on." He says, slowly inching towards her, hands still raised

Lisa put down the manuel and stood, looking out of the smashed window for her. She heard voices, gripping her pistol, unsure of what to expect.
"Adries, what's up?" She called out, about to open the door.

The guards of both bases were completely overwhelmed as they tried to fight back the hordes that had attacked their bases. Many people had tried to flee or hide inside the bases, but they were quickly found and infected. Jack was now moving through the base, taking out guards as he searched every bit of the base. He had already cleared the Headquarters of each base before destroying them, and all he had left to check were the main laboratory and medical center that existed on this base. He entered the main lobby to find it as empty as he expected, he had zombies flood into the building as they all began to search the last remaining building on base.

"Dude I just said don't move. Hold on for a second," she replied, lowering her gun and calling Lisa out.
"Alright, basic information time. What's your name? How did you get here, so on and so forth," Adries asked, "I'm Adries, that's Lisa."

"Can I put my hands down now?" He says, doing so without waiting for an answer.

"The name's James. James D. Sparda, to be exact. You can call me James, JD, Sparda, whatever you prefer." He said, walking towards them.

"Anyway, I was feeling sick, so I decided to leave my school early. But then as it got close to my stop, something must've happened, and I blacked-out. I wake up and see an attractive young lady pointing a gun at me. Introductions aside, can you tell me what's going on?" James asked Adries.

((Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....I'll get to it eventually. >_< I'm lazy! Deal with it. I'm sorry. I just can't help but procrastinate. ))

"Whoa, I just came up with two separate memes for your name. Glad to see I still remember memes," Adries said to herself, putting her gun back in it's holster.
She looked at him for a moment, before simply saying, "Zombiepocalypse. You just met with two people from the unluckiest group of survivors."

"No truer words were ever spoken. Someone made it?" Lisa muttered giving a slight wave in greeting at the other survivor as she lowered her weapon too. She gave a brief glance back to the train, now there was no danger it seemed.

"Zombiepocalyspe?! As in: shambling, moaning, brain eating zombies?! That's fuckin-A!" JD said, now excited at what's going on, his gray hoodie blowing in the wind.

"Has it been like Left 4 Dead? Are their any special zombies? I always wanted to see a Tank in real life." He asked the girls.

"You'll change your mind when you actually see some of the things we've come across. It's also a mix of Left 4 Dead and Resident Evil. We even have our own Wesker now," Adries said with faux excitement.
"We do have the slow moving zombies though. And special infected. And giant crazy strong ones too."

(True. I'll force myself to work on it though. ))
