"The fun times never stop rolling here!" Lisa added with some sarcasm, folding her arms and letting out a sigh. It seemed ridiculous when you explained it.
"Wow. I'd never thought anything like this would ever happen in real life. It's cool yet overwhelming to hear something like this in my lifetime. I hope my family is okay." He says, growing emotional for a second, before snapping out of it.
"You two look like you both are still in high school. You two ever heard of Sly High? that's where I was coming from." he asks the girls.
"That's our old school," Adries replied to him, wondering exactly what was happening over there now, "Anyways...I guess you'll have to stick with us. Sucks for you. We're currently on the run from our 'Wesker' who can control zombies and shit."
Adries turned to Lisa, "We'll try to get the train moving, then we'll head back for introductions and stuff."
Jack finished clearing the last room and found nothing. Frustrated, he walked out of the building as the scorcher set it aflame. Captain Conroy was smarter than Jack had given him credit for, and he ordered the robots to fan out and search for the notes. He checked back in on the hunter watching the group and pulled the jacket of his suit tighter over himself as he saw that the group had a new member. He had the scorcher grab his shoulder.
"I think it is time to introduce myself to the newest member and see if Lisa has another person on her list of the 'saved'." he said as he was teleported close to the current location and both he and the scorcher walked toward them out of sight to see if he should even bother.
"That would be great. I'm actually getting somewhere, but I could use the help. so we might be." Lisa replied with a nod, "Then we'll take you back to the station."
JD nods and hops into the car, and Lisa follows suit. He notices the train manual and picks it up, recognizing it from his engineering classes at school. Then he notices the problem, and gets to work.
"This shouldn't be too hard..." He says cautiously.
"You'd probably do better than us. All we're doing is pressing random buttons for the most part," Adries said. "I don't even want to go back to the station. Brother is going to be a shut in now, your sis is there, everyone else I just don't even want to talk...well maybe Uncle Al," she said as she followed Lisa back to the front of the train.
Jack listened in on the conversation from the side of a nearby train car.
'Well if they will be traveling together, I should introduce myself.' he thought as he walked out after straightening the tie he had gotten with the suit.
"Hello again." he said with his hands behind his back and the scorcher at his side.
Lisa took a step back, startled at Jack's sudden appearance. A pang of worry hit her as her eyes darted between him and the Scorcher.
"Jack. Hello." She said civilly, folding her arms as a comfort.
JD stepped out of the conductor's room to see a man in a suit and zombie with fire surrounding it. They faced Adries and Lisa and had their backs turned to JD.
"Those two... i've seen them somewhere before..." he said whispering to himself, staying out of their sights.
"Oh god. Fuck you Jack you motherfucking *****! You're lucky that we can't fuck your shit up or else we sooooooo would!" Adries raged at Jack.
"What are you here for? Gonna kill us just gonna 'bless us' with your 'perfect' existence bullshit?"
"Maybe another time Bixler." Jack said blandly to Adries before turning back to Lisa.
"I'm here because I know you have another member, and I came to meet them. That and to find out if there are any additions to your list of those who will survive as humans." Jack spoke just as calmly as Lisa had to him.
She shot a worried look to Adries before turning back.
"I understand. I seemed to have forgotten about Corporal Dewey at the base. Please allow that he is safe too." Lisa asked, feeling slightly less tense, choosing not to mention Christie unless he knew about her.
"Alright, again I will need something to recognize him by." Jack said as even though he had already figured out who this was. If she was going to play a game of hiding one's cards, he would as well.
Adries crossed her arms and glared at Jack, hating the feeling of weakness she had. 'We can't tell him anything,' she thought to herself, 'No new member, no notes.'
She glanced at Lisa, 'Lisa if you can read my mind say 'yes'.'
Silence.
"Shit," she muttered, hoping that nothing would slip.
Lisa thought for a moment.
"...Adries you don't happen to have a picture of Dewey on you?" She half-joked before becoming serious, "It seems there is little I can think of. Would keeping him with the group of those already on the list make things easier on him until we meet again and I can get you something with his scent?"
