Carver, still being carried, remarked "Hmph... zombie attack comes with free piggy back rides. Sound good to me." A grin on his face. "And 'object of desire'.... well Im flattered. Hey is that Adries?" he said pointing towards her.
Carver grinned "Glad to see you still staying classy, Adries." He said shooting her a wink.
Then he patted James on the back and slid off. "Alright thanks big guy, but I was loosing feeling in my feet. Oh wait a second!"
He ran back into the gas station and emerged shortly after with his back pack.
"Didnt want to forget this." He said slinging it over his shoulders. Then he nodded at the vehicle they arrived in.
"Military grade APC? Where did you pick it up?"

Carver returned the salute, he was familiar with a decent amount of military protocol, for a civilian, that is.
"Hmmmm... Civilians riding in vehicles property of the army... guess the whole worlds gone crazy. But as my brother, a member of the 2007 graduating class of Virginia Military Institute and U.S. army once said 'SOP, if it makes sense, your doing it wrong" Carver remarked with a chuckle.

"I suppose some good things can come." Lisa half laughed, sitting back in her seat.

Carver looked at him for a moment in thought. "Not like, 'test every friday' evil, but like 'evil' evil? Well I really should be surprised, but after recent events, Im finding that a hard emotion to show......"

Carver decided against talking about the subject with Adries any more. It might seem childish to care about something like theatre in their current situation. But Carver knew how much time and energy those kids put into it. They all had a real passion for it. He himself had grown strangely fond of staying after school till 10:00 or 11:00 at night during the two or three weeks leading up to opening night simply for the sake of perfecting one or two scenes.
But these thoughts were quickly pushed into the back of his head. He pulled out his topography map and started looking it over. "Hey JD, is the station on this map anywhere?"

"I'll give it a shot." Lisa said reassuringly, taking the map. She studied it for a while, biting down on her thumbnail in thought. Then she turned to JD.
"This is an estimation...Mainly because it's not on a map in the first place. But," She moved her finger and traced a circle on an area, "around here. But it's not set in stone. I think that's it though."

Carver took the map and looked it over. Marking it with a pen for future reference, with a question mark next to it. Pulling out another map, this one a road map, he checked the two side by side. Sure enough, the site lisa pointed to was only about 15 miles from the highway the truck stop was on. He began to draw other measurements, to nearby towns and areas of interest and such.
"It might be right......." He whispered to himself. Clenching the pen in his teeth, he folded the maps back up and put them in his pack.

Listening through JD and having a leaper watch them at all times was paying out in spades for Jack. Perhaps at this rate they'll just lead me to the notes he thought to himself before speaking to JD through the link between their minds.
