"Yeah I guess you're right," Adries replied, "I still don't like it but it's the only option I guess. Now comes the question; do we go out to search for the military or have them come to us?"

((night))

"We do both. We keep ready to run at any moment, but hold out as long as we can at the school. Its the best option I can think of." Jack said

Lisa woke in a cold sweat from a bad dream.
Running down the road, trying to get the attention of the car driving away, when a horde of zombies appeared from nowhere, she tried to run but they were faster. A immense mutated bird swooping and knocked her to the ground as the zombies got closer and closer...
Her head hurt, she had slept where she had planned to keep watch, but allowed Jack to take first watch after he offered. It seemed that most of the group was asleep too from the soft murmurs and deep breathing, the sky was turning from black to a maroon shade that reminded her of blood, meaning that sun would be up soon.
Sitting up and reaching for the bag of supplies that some had helped themselves to earlier, she grabbed a box of aspirin and dry-swollowed two pills. The room was darkened and she was unsure whether anyone else was awake.

Ryan was left behind~

As Ryan tried to find his way around, He heard some noises coming from the back of the store He was in, "Hello"?
He began to walk over to where the noises were, "Ugh.. Hello"??

The zombie heard the noise~
Ryan walked over to a man who was limping over, "Sir"?
The man lifter his head up and his flesh was at a decay.. "Shit"..

Ryan tried to hold it off but it bit Ryan on the arm... "FUUUUCK"!!!
Ryan slammed the pipe that he had into its head.

"Morning Lisa," Adries said, noticing that she had woken up from her nap. Adries was sitting next to the register, counting out the money that was inside. "I'm not going to steal it or anything. Just bored," she added after noticing the looks she was getting, "It's not like it would be of any use anyways. Zombies don't accept money last time I checked."

"Oh G'morning, I was trying to keep quiet, i didn't want to wake anyone. Did you get any sleep?"
Lisa greeted sleepily, taking her sketch pad from her bag and a pencil.
She thought she heard something from not too far away, but dismissed it, starting to draw.

"I slept a bit but I've mainly been chatting with Mr. Fletcher and counting change," Adries replied back, stacking up the quarters neatly. "Not much going on ya' know? Plus sleeping is no longer as fun and relaxing as it used to be. Now it's filled with 'fun' zombie dreams. I mean, a lot of my dreams had zombies and a lot of my dreams had me getting seriously injured or dying but now they're worse. If I didn't need sleep I would so try just staying up."

"My dreams weren't exactly fun either. But without energy we'd be goners for sure. My head is killing me... Is the leg still bad?" She asked not looking up from the pad, she found herself drawing the bird they had seen yesterday.
"When it's dawn, are we going to ship out?"

Adries shrugged, "We plan on leaving when all of us and we load up everything, but it's not set in stone. We'll have to discuss it when everyone is awake."

"The leg is doing fine. Hurts when I move it but I expect nothing less from a bullet wound. What're you drawing?" Adries asked, noticing her drawing on her notepad.

"Oh, I've been drawing to keep myself busy these past couple of days. It was my favourite hobby before all of this happened. You can take a look if you want." Lisa offered, handing over the sketch pad on the page where the unfinished bird spread it's wings. She then stood and stretched her legs from laying sprawled out on the counter all night, her legs ached, so she started to do the same kind of exercises she uses to do before her gym lessons to make them loosen up.

"Nice," Adries said, flipping through the pages, "I especially like the evil, demonic bird that we saw yesterday. Limbering up? That's a good idea. Keep from muscles being pulled and stuff."

"Ugh, i spent more than 3 hours running yesterday. That can't be good for my legs. Too bad that i'm gonna have to abandon art in leu of more violnent life-style. Then again, there's no choice in this situation-," She jumped suddenly at a loud moan from outside and a bang on the window, "...It's going to take a while for me to get used to that..." Lisa sighed, taking the supplies bag and grabbing another can, then offering the bag to Adries.

Adries declined, not wanting to eat too much especially if they were forced to run again. "The moans I've already gotten used to, but that random banging is still pretty creepy. But it doesn't bother me too much since I know it's just a zombie. I'm scared for the big bangs or loud animalistic yells! I don't know if we can deal with another monster. I mean, we have the guns now but..."

"I know what you mean. It was a close call. Do you think that the virus effects all animals or just birds?" She asked, putting the bag back on the counter and diving into some pineapple chunks, her stomach still gurgled at the thought of food, the three cans she had eaten last night hadn't been enough substinance from the two days she remained food-less.

"It probably affects all animals, just not in the same way. It seems that that particular bird was a random occurrence for now, or else there would have been hundreds of those things. Dogs, cats, and rodents are either scarred of the zombies as well, or react badly to the disease as they aren't around. Probably kills them because they aren't mutating just yet. Judging by that bird though, I would say the virus is evolving." Jack thought out loud.

"God I hate using my science for this purpose, hell we had gotten past plain survival when my science was just being discovered. I'm a thinker, not a fighter, but now I guess I have to be both. Any of you think life might just go back to normal one day? This ends, people move back into the city and after a few generations everyone just...forgets. Like a collective bad dream we all just write off after a few generations. Will anyone even remember what happened here after a time?"

"I'm thinking it might just affect all animals. No proof, but I say we stay away from pet stores and zoos," Adries said jokingly, somewhat surprised she can still joke in a situation like this.

"I doubt things will go back. But if they do people won't forget something like this. Or at least I don't see how someone could forget this," Adries replied, "I guess children will get over it relatively quickly if they didn't see too much. And if we don't have any zombies in the future then people will start to forget. Shocking idea as of now."

Lisa was slightly startled by Jack's sudden answer, she then considered his question for a moment then it dawned on her.
"No. I don't think it will ever be what it was. But what doesn't kill us makes us stronger right? I do believe that things will improve, if we continue to strive & the military starts to take down these things, maybe find a safe area to bring all the survivors. Who knows? In a few generations, surviving zombies would be like seing a cockroach and killing it, for some reason, we've all managed to survive this disease biologically, so if we did ever have children they'd be healthy if the disease was still around. But in the end, wounds heal, but scars still remain. We'd tell our stories and they'd be passed on Y'know?" She explained, then taking another piece of pineapple and eating it.

Ivan laughed harshly. "They better damn well remember it. If this doesn't wipe out all humans, we will remember it, if only to stay alive. did anyone forget the Black Plague? Or the Battle of Thermopalye? this is on par with any of those events. we must remember this, because 'those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.'"

(Dang, so much happens in 9 hours. anyway, i'm only gonna be on for a little everyday, with football and whatnot.)

"Perhaps, though it seems more likely we will become a mix between Dresden and Pompeii. The event is remembered but no one survived. They may just blow us all to hell and build some small statue in memory of 'Those lost'." Jack said before opening a bottle of water in one of the bags and taking a small sip.

Lisa smiled slightly, "Wise words indeed, I just hope that isn't the case," she then turned to Ivan, "It's nice to finally speak to you by the way. I caught sight of you before i drove off and we haven't had the chance to speak. You really had my friend's backs when that bird was attacking."
She finished the can, finally feeling some kind of fullness, then offered the food supplies bag to Jack and Ivan.
"Breakfast?"
