Zombie High! Survival RP (Started)

"Life sucks now," Adries said after a few moments of thinking.

"It really does. Our only real goal is to survive. And even if we do we won't ever be safe until the zombies die, but that could be years. Hell, they might not even die! How are we to know? And even if all goes right in the end there is still the chance that it could happen again. I doubt the human race can take another one of these if it manages to survive this one."

Jack took a can of potatoes out of the bag and opened the top.

"Thanks Lisa. We humans are a very resilient species. Should we lose the continent we'll inhabit the others. If we lose the continents we'll inhabit the islands. If we lose the islands, we'll find a way to live on the sea. The only way humanity is going to die is by a dwindling population that won't be able to sustain itself. On the dying front, I think the ones with bullet holes in their heads would like to say something about not being able to die. Happening again we can't predict, but we will survive this as a species, and we will probably survive it every time as a species. If only because there are too many of us to kill."

 

[Xero Scythe]

Ivan smiled at Lisa. "Yes, thank you." He took some jerkey and ripped off a piece. He then grinned at Jack. "They're gonna have one hell of a ride if they try to blow us up." Finally, he heard Adries speak. he looked out the window and saw a lone zombie wandering. calmly, he pulled out a pistol and blew its head off from 50 feet away. He motioned to the zombie. "That one's dead, i can tell you that much. And i doubt that this could happen again. when this is over, not if but when, the world will spend every cent it has looking for a cure. or natural selection might help us out by giving us a natural resistance to the disease. Look at us! no mask, yet we are unaffected by the disease. the only logical conclusion is that there are others like us. We will get out of this alive, that i promise you."

"Too bad so many things are against us. Not just the zombies and the new monsters. Those are the worst, but they aren't the only things. What about the environment? I sure as hell know we probably couldn't survive in any of the extreme climates. What about natural disasters? And other humans want to kill us too. Not all are bad people, but we'd do what we would need to to survive. It just seems so hard to deal with...And now I'm all sad. Time to listen to depressing and angry music to make me feel better," Adries said, getting out her iPod and lying down on the sales desk.

Lisa watched the zombie fall to it's knees and die, admiring the shot,
"We've come this far already, to give up now would be a cowards' way out. From the looks of it, biology is certainly on our side, plus we all have some kind of willpower, i mean, You two have been shot and you're still kicking around," Lisa said gesturing to Jack & Adries before jumping back onto the counter.
"People are scared, they're going to do hasty and insane things. We may be level headed but those guys that attacked you in the Megastore were scared. Insane and well dead now, but scared."

Jack got Adries attention.

"Humans have lived in some of the harshest conditions on the face of the planet. Just ask the Russians, Mayans, Egyptians, Saudi Arabians, Aztecs, and nearly every person living in Northern Canada, Alaska, and Northern Europe. As I said, we are a resilient species, we have survived worse than a viral infection that causes people to become cannibals."

"I'm not so much talking about the species itself when I talk about the environmental stuff, I mean more of us as a group. We're resistant but there is only so much we can take. I mean, we almost died yesterday! But, whatever. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens...Are we ready to get moving?"

"After we load that truck up with every gun and round of ammunition we can find. Then I'm ready to go." Jack finished eating the potatoes, grabbed his Ak-47, and slid off the counter. The sun was rising.

"Good daylight will make this much easier. Who's ready for day three?"

"I'm game. You've got the second truck right Jack? I'll take the U-haul?" Lisa asked, grabbing the Shotgun she brought with her and swinging her legs.

"Lets worry about loading everything up first, then we can worry about who's driving what." Jack said as he moved to the back of the store to grab crates of guns and ammo.

"Make sure we clean the store out completely. We may be theives, but we are going to be damn thorough ones."

She nodded, grabbing everything she had brought and shoving it into her backpack, then unlocking the entrance, gripping the shotgun in her hands to make sure the street was clear. Sure enough there were none close, She saw a few wandering up the ends of the street, seeming not to have noticed her yet. She took a few steps forward and pulled up the back of the second truck and ran over to the U-haul to do the same.

"Roger," Adries replied, taking guns off the shelves and putting them on the table so that they can be taken to the truck. She also picked out her new rifle, happily putting it near her bag and putting all the ammo she could for it into a few ammo cans.
When all the guns were off the rack and being carried to the U-Haul she worked on fitting ammo cans into a box for easy moving. "Anything else here other than the weapons and ammo that we should bring?"

Charles woke up in a daze, he had though they had reached the school, but then he bitterly remembered the fight and how they had holed up in a gun shop.

"Crap" he though to himself. While everyone fixed up supplies, he had gone into the Uhaul and found a gun he was looking for an M1 Carbine. Normaly he handled guns porrly, what with the different balances and whatnot, but his grandfather had one of these guns and he had shown Charles how to fire it properly.

He grabed a few magazines for the gun and straped them to his belt, he also had his gun slung over his back.

He sat with the group and thought outloud

"How are we going to get back to school" he smiled inwardly as he though of the times he adn his friends snuck out of class to goof around.

"We drive!" Adries replied, proudly standing over all the packaged ammo, "Probably through some zombies. I mean, we were able to get over here so we should be able to get back to school unless we encounter a giant worm or something."

"you had to say it!" Ivan joked with a smile. "Now it's bound to come true. anyway, load up the ammo into my truck. lemme get a few... extras, just in case." Ivan ran upstairs and brought back down some suspicious packages. one could be read to say 'danger: explosives'. "my own creations." Ivan said proudly. "Just a little something extra, for crowd control."

(Hey, what happened? there are nearly 5-10 people who signed up for this RP who i haven't seen ever since i entered. what gives?)

((Some people are simply busy, and others either left the rp or just never posted after they're intro. Not sure really. Weekdays are a bit slower though, not as much happens. I'm actually going to bed so night, see ya tomorrow!))

Lisa cleared down the few zombies that had noticed her start loading onto the U-haul, It was easy for her now. It reminded her of killing a bug that was about to sting her. she grabbed another box and slid it onto the back, wiping a bead of sweat from her forehead, then taking her light grey sweatshirt off and tying it around her waist.

"We almost done with packing everything right?" Adries asked Lisa, watching the front of the store for any zombies. "I'll be quite happy to get out of the city. You never know what'll try to kill you next."
