"Thank you Lisa's dad!" Adries replied, "We should be able to head back to the school once everyone is awake and we get enough weapons. Hopefully nothing bad happens, but knowing our luck..."

"Before it got dark, we were getting supplies from the megastore down the street, we managed to fill two trucks, but there was a problem, i managed to drive the first one back to the high school, but the other is still parked outside. When dawn comes, we're gonna drive both trucks back and work out a plan from there." She replied, taking a can of cherries and eating, realizing that she hadn't eaten for the past few days.

"Well, we'll go in a bit. Hopefully before a monster attacks again," Adries said, finishing up her breakfast and lying back down. "We also need to bring all these guns and ammo too. We'll load them up later though. I need to get a better rifle," Adries added, looking around for the best one.

"I'll take first watch for tonight, i had some sleep while i was at the high school. Besides, you've lost some blood Adries." She said swallowing a few more cherries and taking up perching on the counter.

((I'll probably go and take a nap for an hour, though not much is happening which is good for me!))

Adries nodded and lied back down, thinking about all that crazy stuff. The monster, the psychos, the rigged up oil tank, and everyone still at school.

(I gotta go for now too, I'll probably be back tomorrow :D)

Although she wanted to do whatever she could to help, she couldn't help but already regret taking first watch, her eyes drooped as she finished off the first can of cherries then taking a can of peaches simular to what Adries had taken as her stomach growled with hunger. She kept a hand on her shotgun as she settled down for a few hours.

"Lisa take a nap. I'll take your place, unconsciousness does wonders so I should be up for a good while now." Jack said as he walked around looking at all the guns and ammunition somehow still in the store.

"Good thing you brought that U-haul though, we will certainly be bringing back the best haul that we will see in a long time."

"Know anything about guns?" Adries called to Jack, having awoken from her nap and watched him look at the guns. "I personally know very little. Only know how to reload and shoot. Uncle taught me it. I'm quite happy he did now."

"My father was a soldier. Spent most of my childhood studying war and guns. So yea, I know a thing or two. I could probably tell you what guns these were and what they fire, but I wouldn't be able to disassemble and reassemble them. I can shoot, clean, and find ammo for all of these guns. Just don't expect me to rebuild them and we'll be fine." Jack said limping around the room and looking at the weapons. He limped to the back of the store.

"Hello, these are definitely not legal." Jack said as he came back with an AK-47 in one hand and an M4A1 in the other.

"Last time I checked assault rifles weren't exactly a sellable item in a gun store."

"Ohh...busted!" Adries replied, doing her best to move towards Jack, "That's pretty kick ass. What weapon do you think would work for me? I have actually used rifles and pistols before, but nothing else. My uncle would never let me use and of his assault rifles which I assume are illegal. And he didn't like shotguns so never fired one of those."

"Whenever I get anything that is automatic I tend to fire at it randomly...but that's only in games of course," Adries said, taking another can of cola and drinking it. "What are you going to use now that we have a copious amount of guns to choose from?"

"I'm going to use an Ak-47 set to semi-automatic. For you, I would say find a semi-automatic rifle and stick with those, shotguns, or pistols. A tendency for spray and pray is not what we need right now, its wasteful and won't do much against these things. I would say a Tokarev for a semi-automatic rifle, a Benelli M4 for a shotgun, or a Glock or a .44 Magnum for a pistol. Luckily ammo isn't an issue here, so all you have to do is find the guns. Luckily all of the weapons I listed are legal, don't come with the issue of you going full-auto, and all are designed to run for long periods with little maintenance like my Ak here." Jack patted the gun, loaded a full clip, and chambered a round. He kept his finger away from the trigger as he tiled the gun to look over it.

"Yea, I think this will work for me just fine."

"Hope we don't meet up with any cops or anything," Adries said with a chuckle, "I'll take that Tokarev then. Probably a magnum too. They're pretty kick ass. They'll go great with my axe of doom!"

"So, military-raised teacher, what do you think we should do when we get back? To the school I mean. How long can we last with all those students? I was thinking of just abandoning them but I guess I still have enough conscious to where that makes me feel bad. I just don't see how we can stay alive in there. Especially with monsters now!"

"Honestly, I suggest the Glock over the Magnum. The magnum does more damage, but the Glock has less kick, a large clip, and the gun is much smaller and lighter. Holding out now, I would say it depends on how big of a haul of food you brought and how long said food will last. If all the food is non-perishable, with proper rationing, we could last weeks to years depending on how much food we have. Water may be an issue, but if the haul was big and we don't all mind smelling like a dumpster, we could hold it out about as long as the food with rationing.

Honestly we should be ready to pack up and flee at any moment. If we keep the U-hauls and pack everyone in like sardines, we could take the small children, most of the staff, and the more useful of the students. Everyone else though." Jack sighed "Would either have to find vehicles of their own and follow us, or split up and form their own survival group. No matter what though, that transmitter stays with us." Jack moved to sit down.

"The only way we can hold out indefinitely is to secure all of the school ground, and use the roof and windowsills to catch water when it comes, and the grounds to farm. Rationing would be a fact of life. We would need some kind of stone or cement wall to keep the zombies out, and heavy doors that we can easily lock as well. The school would need to become its own citadel, and we just don't have the resources to do that. I give us maybe a month before we need to flee as fast as we can. Assuming the military has leveled the city or saved us by then."

Adries was silent, nodding the whole way through. "I really don't know if we can do all that. It just seems like so much. And with all these zombies and monsters...I just don't really see it. It's just, where we would go? can only think of a few places that could be only slightly safer than the last. It's a no-win situation."

"And I'll take the glock," she added, looking at the ammo that was around her.

((It's hard to type whilst playing a game. :p ))

"We flee for the countryside, drive until we hit the quarantine perimeter, and hope that we can all pass inspection. We would need to check for and kill any one of us who may be infected, because if they find one of us infected, they kill all of us. Then again, they may just shoot all of us anyway. Though it should be soon enough that they won't. give them a week however, and I'm not so sure."

"How do we know there is a quarantine space or something? What if it's only a bunch of scattered people that are alive like us?" Adries asked, fear flowing through her voice, "And can we trust the military? What if they just kill everyone? The countryside I agree with though, it seems so much safer then stuck in a huge city."

"As soon as this became serious, the military would have stepped in. We can't trust them, but they are our only realistic option. They have the logistics, supplies, and rapid transport needed to keep all of us alive. If they didn't have time to black out the press, which considering how quick this happened they didn't, the world will be watching and reacting in their own ways. America is probably an island unto itself, with every citizen being sent back as quick as other countries can manage it. We need to find some place we can settle, and most military bases were built with quick communication, escape, and reinforcement in mind. We may not like it, but they are our only long term choice that won't require us to watch out backs 24/7." Jack explained.
