((No, no. A snip is when you take out someone's post in your quote because it's too long. I just put "informal" because you requested information.))

((Lol, I always assumed we were in the Colorado/Idaho/Wyoming states. Seemed like the city itself was big but it's surrounded by a ton of wilderness. ))

Adries continued pestering her brother with questions, getting intrigued when he started to talk about his plan a bit.
"So that's it? Seems kinda dangerous," Adries told him.
"Well whatever. It should work. Especially with the chemicals I put in," Alan replied.
"Okay then. Whatever," Adries said knowing she wouldn't get anything else out of him.

Elsewhere...

"Lisa, look at me." JD says, walking closer to the girl.

"You can't blame yourself for these things, ok? You did what I told to do. You didn't do on your own accord. You have no reason to feel guilty. And besides, I'm fine Lis! I'm sure it's just some type of bruise. It'll heal up eventually. Now C'mon, we have to tell the others about this." He says, taking her by the hand.

Lisa hesitated a little before starting to walk with him.
"...If you say so. I still feel kinda bad though, mainly because it looks so sore. But you're right, It'll heal up. I guess I'm still shocked. I don't like random violence, that's all. If you'd started a fight, I wouldn't have felt so bad." Lisa said with a small grin, starting to perk up again.
"Funny thing is, that my Sister is actually the heavy-handed, strong one. I don't know my own strength is seems."

"Who knows? Maybe you're even stronger than your sister!" He said, chuckling a bit.

"What's her problem anyway? She's barely said anything since i got here." JD asked Lisa as they got to the doorway of the main room.

Everyone did a wave at Lisa and JD, looking over to Christie once JD asked about her.
"She's a *****," Albert told him, shaking his head as he turned away.
"She's a nice lady," Jacobs replied quickly.
"Whatever..."

"So, you ever going to come out?" Adries asked Alan, lightly rocking back and forth on her heels boredly.
"Maybe one day I will. Then the world will be all sunshine and lolipops," he replied sarcastically, "Honestly sis, I just don't feel safe outside. I don't even really feel safe here, but it's better than out there."

"Y'know, from the amount of ass kickings I got when I was younger, I'm not going to test the waters on that one." Lisa laughed nervously looking into the room and giving a wave.
She raised an eyebrow at Jacobs' answer, then looking over to the sleeping Christie herself.
"She has enough problems to fill for us all. The less time you spend with her, the happier you'll be. Let's be thankful she's asleep. I will leave it at that. Anyway, should we explain what we found out?"

"Yes, I think we should" JD said, answering her.

JD made his way to the center of the room, so everyone could see him.

"Well, after a quick eye examination, we figured out that my mutated arm is impervious to any pain, but the rest of my body isn't. Take notice of my left eye. take note at how it is different than my right eye. Also, take note of the black, vein-like streaks surrounding it. This state occurred when Lisa punched me."

Everyone gasped at what he said, mostly because it looks like Lisa could barely hurt a fly, let alone inflict this kind of damage on a person. JD quieted everyone down, to get the attention back to him.

"It's alright, I told her to do it. Since this happened after i was attacked, we believe that it's how a Special bruises up when damage is inflicted upon it. And yes, it does giving new meaning to the term "Black Eye". So, any questions?" JD asked the band of survivors.

Carvers old Ford truck had run out of gas several miles ago, no he was forced to move on foot. He resented the idea of being out in the open, but a truck stuck in the woods surronded by those things didnt have much more appeal. All he had on him was his backpack from school and the document case attached to it. His school supplies, with the exception of his copy of "Much Ado About Nothing" gad all been hastily dumped from the bag. What was now inside was a few bags a trail mix he grabbed from the house as he was leaving the city, two maps for navigating the roads he was going to take, and one topography map he had found in his room. By his luck, one of his previous architecture projects was to go out into these same woods and excavate a plot of land with two other students. A compass was also nestled in the side pocket of the pack. He had found his dads old 32. special and the revolver was in one pocket, with as many shells as he could fit in the other. An old hunting knife was strapped to his thigh and a multi-tool was in his cargo pocket. He had strung an old canteen across his back pack.

Getting out of the city on foot had would have been a nightmare. But by a great stroke of luck his car had enough gas to get him out, but not much further. And now he was about five miles outside of the city.

He came out into a clearing. "Thank God..." were the only words he managed to pant out. He was two hundred yards from an old truck stop. It was relatively empty with the exception of two figures standing out in the open. He could only assume the worst had happened to them.

Two shots rang out from the lot. Fortunately, what little experience Carver had with guns had paid off. UNfortunately, however, the woods were suddenly alive with noise. Carver cursed himself. Of course the truck stop was full of zombies hours ago, they had just wandered off into the woods, but they hadnt gone far. Breaking open the glass door entrance to the truck stop with his steel toe boot, he ducked the handlebar and slid in. Once in he grabbed a shelf and pushed it up against the hole he had made. And just in time as over fifty zombies began to emerge from the woods. Carver locked all the doors to the building and began to rummage through the maintenance closet. He found a short wave CB radio, the kind found on big rig trucks, but it signal could be picked up by anything so it didnt matter.

"If anybody is hearing this, I am trapped in the Flying J truck stop on highway 43 outside the city. I am in the main building and have at least fifty zombies surrounding the building. Dont come unless you have a lot of firepower or a good plan. Any armed civilians, Army, Navy, Marines, hell eve the cavalry sounds good right about now! I repeat, I am at the Flying J....." He continued to rattle off his location two more times before heading to the liquor isle. He wasnt going down quietly, and the smoke might just provide a distress signal.

((Damn I had a great nap. ))

Alan looked around for another pen once his had gone out, cursing lightly after the next two he picked up were duds.
"I need to stop using all of them at once," he muttered as the radio in the APC started to pick up a signal. Alan got up and sat in the driver's seat, listening in and writing down the basic info with a marker he had. Once the message started to repeat he got up and started to head to the station.

"No questions really," Adries said as she sat down by the door, having joined them once she got bored of Alan.
"Listen guys some guy is like stranded," Alan explained as he opened the door and looked at his notes, "Trapped at the Flying J truck stop on highway 43. Lots of zombies, blah, blah."

Hearing this news filled JD with glee.

"Hell Yeah! C'mon everybody, let's rescue this guy! It'll be a perfect way to see if I have any powers!" He says, pumping his hands into the air, the last of the skin on his arm finally flaking off.

"Heh. You're way too into this. Although, it would be interesting to see if you have any abilities. Let's go?" Lisa questioned before drying her hands on her jeans and moving the surgery mask from her face.

"Of course! I've dying to get some action all day! But I should still get a gun, just in case i don't have any real powers. Any one got a automatic pistol? I've been dying to use one of those." JD says.

He looks down to his Zombie arm. Small, sharp, quills are starting to grow out of it.

"Is anyone else coming?" He asks, looking up from his developing arm.

"Well I'll be going with you," Jacobs said. He looked over at Dewey who shook his head, turning back to the game of solitaire he was playing with his cards.
Adries looked at Al who shrugged and wished them good luck and that he'd hold down the fort.

"Well I'm going," Adries said. Alan had already walked back to the APC. He made sure to move all his stuff to the back, making sure nothing of interest was out.
"Keeping things safe and all that," he told Jacobs who was starting up the vehicle.
"Keeping your stuff close," Adries said.
"Of course. That's why I'm going. Don't trust leaving anything in the station," Alan replied.

"Low on trust? It's the end of the world! There's no real reason to steal anything anymore." JD told Alan.

"Or maybe it's because of the crazy commander lady? She does look kinda shifty..." JD Whispered in Alan's ear.

"My stuff is a bit more important than silly things that people would normally steal," Alan replied coldly as he took a seat in the back.

"Warning," Adries whispered to JD so only he could here, "My brother can get quite grouchy. I advise you do your best to stay on his good side."
