Seeing as I'm Military, I'm either A- Screwed (Yeah, the military is always shown getting slaughtered, but a retired cop, some teenager or news reporter find a freakin' way to live) or B- Screwed eventually (Can't kill them all, but I have a motor pool with artillery cannons and tanks, then there's the arms room which has many weapons of fun destruction, tons of heater meals and MRE's, so I have a decent chance).

It all depends on which film the zombies are from, in some films the zombies can run and climb but in others they can only walk and when they come upon an obstacle they're snookered.
We don't have 'malls' in the UK, but there is a army base near me. Head there they'l heve soldiers and guns train myself or get trained allready thought this up (it's a long walk home).
head tothe local precinct to get some guns. the comehome and take $$$, food, water my Zombie Survival Guide, and other things. Then head to a gun store for better guns and ammo. Then to a mall/ band of survivors.
most of you guys are predictably going about it the wrong way. You think that when the shit hits the fan thousands(if not millions) of other people wont be thinking to do the exact same thing that you do. My zombie plan is as soon as Im able start saving up money in advance of the zombies actually taking over and buying lots of guns(mainly shotguns and rifles), non perishable food items(honey, Peanut butter, canned soup), MRE's(aka Army rations) and bottled water. Hide all of these things in my attic and when the zombies come gather my supplies, round up my friends and family and head to the naval base where my brother and his wife are stationed then I'd go from there.
Duct-tape up some pants, boots, gloves, jacket, etc, find an enclosed helmet (Motorbike maybe?) and go find a nice sword or axe (Or something that equally devastating).
Then imma go find somewhere to fortify, and pack it with supply's, then stay put. ^.^
[For all those who cannot apply lateral logic as to what good the above outfit is, it would be 1) Highly Waterproof (meaning, infectious blood proof), 2) Bite Proof (If someone can bite through 3+ layers of Duct-tape, let me know, I'll put a few more layers on) 3) It's weather-proof (Rain? No problems, Cold? Not an issue, Boiling hot? Okay might need to take it off on occasion) 4) If I do get mauled by a pack of zombies, I am highly likely to make it out, bare-handed if need be, without being infected ^.^]

Stock up on Ammo and Weapons at a local store. Head to the nearest Cosco. Ill only leave to get the things that I'll need to survive: Dirt, Soil, Sunlamps, and Water. Ill knock down the shelves infront of the door, barricade it except for a roof entrance, and start growing food. The initial supply of food will last me until first harvest, and I can live off my own land then. I'll have to get a generator, and hopefully I can get some Solar Panels/Wind turbines by the time the grid goes down.
Screw the mall. Ill grab a gun, ammo, a back pack, food, and a crowbar and see you all later im getting out of the fucking city. Villages will have enough food too sustain a group of survivors and the less zombies the better. Keep making my/our way towards the coastline. once we reach it, we go to the other side of the country and rinse repeat ! Soon we will either have an army of survivors to take the city or it will have ended. Or... we will all die.

That's a little often to be sending scouting parties. If Max Brooks is to be asked, which I'm sure he would be, he would advise you against scouting parties this often because raiders will want to come steal your shit, which in turn will bring more and more zombies to your base and so on.No-Superman10 said:
