They’re both perpetuating the delusion that this beast called a nation has anything to offer humanity but the myths necessary to justify the murders of the innocent. I hesitate to call the Democrats worse because their deceit is more contradictory in this case.
Not appearing out of step with Biden is actually a negative. Kamala Harris is terrible, but we shouldn't let that overshadow how terrible Joe Biden is.
Genuine question to all those who support Biden right now. Was Harris lying about believing those women for political gain or would she just prefer that the rapists in power represent her party?
Its hardly revisionist. Even at the time many people clung to the belief Obama couldn't possibly be American, something he'd never would have been questioned on of he was white. The opposition to Obama from the Republicans could at best be described as fanatical too.

As to me, I would have a very tough time voting Biden because of what he and Obama did together. Also, they are still way better than Trump. Notice how I did use a race card there, because I actually don't know if you think that I am. US politics is like choosing between a shit sandwich and a turdburger with a leaf of lettuce for about 4 decades now. All of them are mass murderers. You gotta pick the one you think will kill the least.
There would definitely be people up in arms over his and her colour and gender. But that's not the issue. Hades used the term 'people' and you think that means you. Not everything is about you. Hades is not attacking you personally. And they are very right, some people would be up in arms. They could have worded that sentence so it was more specific, instead of a generalised 'people', I'll definitely grant that. But not everyone is out to get you man. I don't want to speak for Hades, but I'd doubt they think you are that sort of person. Pretending people are attacking you only gets you worked up.
So let's take a minor example of this up in arms thing. Obama was questioned on where he was born.. because racists are idiots and cannot imagine that back person can reach the white house. They have to pretend that NO ONE, including the DNC and GOP, thought to check his birth certificate before he entered the race which... I don't know whether you've seen the debates. They tend to pick up on negative things very quickly. I cannot imagine his political opponent, the GOP, letting that slide because that would be an automatic win for them. But, talking sense to racist is not very productive. They wouldn't believe me if I explained it in the most eloquent fashion
Well, I would say that Congress has no appetite for doing anything. They are pretty useless and are just there for the paycheck. That being said, EOs sounds a lot like royal decrees. Which is terrible. I don't know why Congress is too focus on it own stupidity but we're just going to get more EOs that will breach freedom as time goes on.
Unsurprising if somewhat disappointing. Although Trump's race-bating kind of made this inevitable. He's had a hard time getting his attacks on Biden to stick, and having a woman of color in the race further scrambles his attempt at messaging.
Fortunately, most of Trump's EOs are like his marriage vows: a shallow bit of theater with no enforcement mechanism.
Republicans vote for the party, whichever slimy head sprouts from it, standards be damned. Yet left's only see the head, not the party, and vote only for that, which makes republican attacks far more effective than democratic ones, because repubs know their party is just throwing every kind of imagined bullshit at the wall to see what sticks and refuse to see any criticism of their own as anything but that. This is what keeps them in power. This is why things will only get worse.
The people who hated Obama because he was black and insisted he was Kenyan have very little crossover with the people who didn't like Obama because he was basically a war criminal and a mealy mouthed liberal centrist. I don't like Harris because I think she's pretty right wing, but if she ends up president the American right will still insist she's a secret communist muslim and probably transgender.

Biden 2020. I don't think there's a huge policy distinction, so it's down to the person. Biden has flaws galore, but they're relatable, predictable flaws. He sticks his foot in his mouth, he lets his family get away with corruption, these are sympathetic flaws. Clinton's flaws are not normal people flaws. They're like psycho flaws. I voted a big "neither" in 2016, but there wasn't the tiniest chance of me voting Clinton with the footage of "we came, we saw, he died" floating about.

I think, like this writer, most Biden voters do believe that Joe digitally raped Ms. Reid and are voting for him anyway.
When it became apparent that Clinton would complete 2 terms, Never Trumper Peggy Noonan opined that she believed voters were thinking, "he's a cad? that's his wife's problems. I want someone that can do the job".
A VP's first job is to be able to take over if POTUS cannot serve and continue to implement the policies of that POTUS.
Joe Biden is a dispicable political whore. He told us he was. I think Kamala is one too. She can do a good job as his VP, selling us out as fast, continuously and repeatedly as possible. It is what he will do. If/when he steps down for health reasons, possibly in his first year, she will be able to continue his primary campaign pledge to betray us and sell us out in this manner. Biden's environmental plan has 20 times the funds allocated to it than Clinton's. Then there's the universally-available public healthcare option. I'd say those are some pretty major differences.
Republican ads have quite a unique ability to make the trashy candidates they're attacking sound good. It'd be nice if the fever dreams of conservatives were even half-true.
I get the feeling that even if the democrats literally ran Mitt freakin' Romney for president, trump's people would scream that he's a radical leftist and a communist.
