I think many people on the GamerGate side that aren't concerned only about journalistic ethics but about "feminist agenda" as well feel insulted by the critical pieces made by feminists. They tend to read it as an attack on the whole game, and thus, they read it as insulting themselves for...
No, I don't mean the adjective use.
Of course in German you can say "male gamer" or something.
But I often hear "male" or "female" used as the noun here, and that is what would sound really off in German. That would be "Männchen/Weibchen".
So "männlicher Spieler" (male gamer) would be okay...
Wow, where do you live? Sounds like a really toxic community. I never heard anything like that (I'm from Germany and live in a University City so nerd culture is really big here). Something like that would never happen here.
I don't actually have any suggestion except of maybe moving to...
Ohhh yes. I played Baldurs Gate 2 and the only romance option for female characters... Anomen... NO. NO!
Also, this is a bit unrelated but I have a general question to all native english speakers in this thread... Is it really normal for English speakers to say "male" or "female" instead of...

But... but... she is a *whispers mysteriously* "Femitheist"...
Not Feminist.
Whatever a Femitheist is or how you pronounce it.
But this is creeeeepy.
Also, I never understood how MRA and Feminists are even opposing things; if you factor out the misogynistic and misandristic ones they...
I thought they liked it for Edward and Jacob, not Bella; she has like zero personality und is just a blank to self-insert.
I thought she was quite mean, always complaining about their friends how they are boring and everything, then Edward sparkled in the wood and I stopped reading.
Yeah...
You're right, but that wouldn't change my answer the slightest. Thing is, we don't live in a society anymore like back when human evolved. So even if you say not all of that is imposed by society and also by biology (which is true) I still would do the same thing. Since changing the view on...
