    Zero Punctuation: Kinect

Sigh. That's what I was hoping for when I was shocked to hear he actually bought a Kinect. DC is actually a good game, too... For me, DC (and the upcoming DC2) makes the Kinect a very worthy purchase.

Rumor: Apple could be thinking about buying EA and sony

Did you read the short article? It specifically points out that Sony is worth less than the $51 billion. Estimated value is $40 billion.

    Difficult or just Insane

Dwarf Fortress. It's awesome...sheer awesomeness. But the learning curve and the gameplay can be horribly difficult for a while. I've been totally addicted to this game for the past few weeks. I can't stop playing, gah.

    Zero Punctuation: Minecraft

I can definitely see the allure of Minecraft. I played it for a while, but I need more game and less builder. When it comes to these indie builder games, I'm a much bigger fan of Dwarf Fortress. You can build some crazy things in that game too, but it has a nicely fleshed out game backing...

Do you ever lower the difficulty?

It depends heavily on the game. I'm like you in that I don't have endless time to grind my way through a difficult game. Sometimes, I just want to have fun, enjoy the story and eventually just finish it. Nowadays, normal difficulty is usually a good choice. Games have definitely gotten...

    Company of Heroes Online

It's great, but I already played so, so, so many hours of CoH already.

If you could be a party member in any RPG?

Most definitely, something in the far, far future. The Mass Effect world seems like a pretty cool place and time to live.

    Tell me your GOTY!

Heh, I'm going to nominate a surprise choice. Dance Central. And no, I'm not joking. I love this game. Forget the RPG's and shooters. DC has the most immersive and engaging experience of any game I've played in a long, long time. And I'm getting a great workout, as an added bonus.

Is it too late for me to get into an FPS?

I have a similar reservation to playing FPS's online. For years, I couldn't play any of them because of horrible virtual motion sickness. Recently, I figured out that tweaking the field of view (FOV) can often fix that problem. But I absolutely suck at these games because I've spent so...

    Problems with WoW

Huh? Shouldn't you be posting this in the official WOW support forums?

Poll: Does Yahtzee affect your game purchases?

Are you serious? There is an obvious difference between someone who is trying to be objective and someone who is just giving their opinions. For example, Yahtzee trashes plenty of games...even games that have metaratings over 90. Is he objective? No way. He never tries to be. On the...

    Your Gaming Standards?

Lately, my only rule is: FINISH THE DAMN GAME! I'm usually like a kid, constantly getting shiny new games, even though I haven't finished my current game. As a result, I have a long list of games I half-completed. I keep planning to go back to them later, but I never do. I want to...

    Open ended vs linear storytelling.

Give endless money, time and resources, I think most people would prefer a game with great open ended storytelling. People like to feel like their choices made a difference. Unfortunately, developers do not have endless resources. If a game is supposed to be open-ended, that should mean...

Poll: is cities XL any good?

What was the big problem with the game? I thought it worked just fine. I appreciated all the differences between this game and SimCity. I built several huge cities, with trading in between. No crashes. To me, it just feels like you are complaining about an unfinished beta, nitpicking...
