Whatever, just wash your hands.
this is a creepy thought, but I doubt either company would go for it, it would probably end up like ea tying to buy 2k games awhile back at best (or worse, whatever)

To quote Yahtzee, if this happens I will take out a part of my spine and eat my own ass.

No way they could buy out Sony.

EA definately, but Sony is too large.
Did you read the short article? It specifically points out that Sony is worth less than the $51 billion. Estimated value is $40 billion.

If Apple acquires Sony, it's the last time I'll ever own a Sony item. Ever. I'd go back to PC gaming solely. Apple is by far, one of the worst tech companies out there.
Obvious troll is obvious.
Popularity, doesn't denote quality. And silly childish net-terms repeated ad-nauseum aren't witty, they're just kind of sad because you lack any other argument.
Seeing how Apple is one of the leading companies in technology and they make millions, "claiming" that they are one of the worst tech companies out there is ridiculous. You statement offers no supporting evidence and can easily spark flame war. That sir is why I call you a troll wether it was intentional or not. Frankly I enjoy Apple's products. I own an iPod and a Macbook Pro. You can yell at me all day how it was a waste of money and how you can build a more powerful PC under $1,000. But in all seriousness I don't give a damn.

I think it's more likely to be the other way around. Apple has recently applied for patients for 3D television technology, it wouldn't be a far stretch for them to buy Sony, a leader in television production, to help with this process. Just wait for a big Iphone looking TV called the iVision or some shit that will cost $5000 for a $1500 just for a slightly domed back that you never look at.

And it won't support digital, or something.

Apple has 60 BILLION dollars in cash right now, but it won't ever be used in a major buy up.

Apple uses this capital to buy years worth of components for its products to secure a supply line and ensure demand is met for its customers.
