Escape to the Movies: True Grit

Well you should be more specific about what you mean when saying ''They didn't write it.'' Obviously one will assume from reading what you wrote that you mean they didn't write the screenplay, which they did. And No Country For Old Men was adapted from a novel

Escape to the Movies: True Grit

The King's Speech overrated? Wow, there is no way that film is overrated. It deserves all the praise it's getting, and no leading male performance has matched Colin Firth in it this year. No, they did write it... where did you hear otherwise?

    Escape to the Movies: 9

Mature means that it can be accepted by many ages, not just kids, as a quality piece of media. So needlessly putting in a bunch of tits, sex, and violence doesn't make something mature in that sense.

Poll: Whose death did you take harder?

I second that exact statement. And I was genuinely saddened by Billy Mays' passing, he was far too young, and it was made even stranger because I've been watching and loving every minute of his show "Pitchmen" on Discovery. They did a tribute a few days after his passing that was very touching.

Who would be your arch nemisis....BASED ON YOUR AVATAR?

An enemy samurai I guess. Only seen 3 episodes of Kenshin, so I don't know any of his enemies' names.

Escape to the Movies: Public Enemies

And of course people fail to mention The Hurt Locker. Please, watch it, just... watch it. Best movie of the year so far for me, yes even better than Up. And Tropic Thunder last year was just... horrible.

    most obscure game you own/owned?

Odama. What an awful, awful game. If you want to play a game so difficult, so mind-numbingly frustrating that anything after the SECOND LEVEL seems nearly impossible, by all means pick it up. It uses some god-awful voice commands also. Urban Chaos: Riot Response. One of my favorite FPS of...

    What would you do if...

Videogame: I'd get my head blasted into small chunks by a Helghan Scout. TV: I'd become a funny yet obnoxious black guy living in Bel-Air. Movie: I'd be an enraged TV anchorman who has just kidnapped a groundhog and is attempting to drive off a cliff in a van. Guess what each one is...

    The Last Game.

Lol, well it sort of is a spoiler, though just about everyone knows what happens at the end of the game, so whatever :P

    The Last Game.

Final Fantasy 7 on PSN. The first time I've played an FF game, aside from 30 minutes of playing FF 10, and I must say it's a very fun RPG, I can really see the appeal. I didn't expect much considering that it seems there's an equal amount of people who despise the game than there are people who...

    Poll: How many pages?

I'm not saying that there isn't a long book I don't like, I liked Odyssey, as well as a few longer books I've read, it's just that if I look at how many more pages I have, regardless of if I like the book or not, it always feels like a daunting task of reading that many more pages. It feels like...

Things in movies that you only notice after repeated viewings that change your view of the movie?

It's usually information about the plot that I don't notice the first time through. Years ago, I rented Gladiator and thought it was a horribly overrated and BOOORING excuse for a movie. About a year later, I re-watched it, and once again I stopped halfway through out of boredom. I rented it...

    Poll: How many pages?

The Odyssey, not sure how many pages it had. Not a fan of reading long books, it makes me feel like I'm not getting anywhere and lose interest.
