I just have to ask: how many MMO launches have you experienced? 'Cause i've been through several, including some with big money backing them, and they're NEVER pretty. The problem isn't really money, it's that they typically have no clue what the initial server load is going to be.

Most of those "made up words" are actually just archaic terms, e.g. ringmail. Some are just "flavored" for the setting. There are very few "made up words" aside from names. I'd say you're being a bit picky; but hey, if you don't like it, you don't like it.
