I think survival games that have a defined end state could be really appealing. Whether it's timed instances or specific activities that need to be accomplished, it could add a sense of true urgency and difficulty in your interaction with the environment. This may not be the type of survival...
Don't know if anyone played it, but whenever I think fantasy and mechs I may be one of the few who doesn't think of Escaflowne first, but rather the PS game Vanguard Bandits. Game was awesome with a branching story and numerous endings depending on your choices and success/failures in battle...
Call of Duty: World at War featured America v Japan and Russia v Germany. It entirely excluded the Western Front in Europe. The same rationalization could be used for excluding the Eastern front and the Russians. I can't say too much to the inclusion of Italy, especially over France... but...
I can't give you a rundown of every single character, but I'll pick from a couple that I've played quite a bit.
Lucio (Support)- Fast-moving healer who lets you have fun on the offensive side as well. He can toggle his AOE buff from a speed boost to a passive heal that affects all allies...
This is pretty much it... To each their own in terms of what video games they enjoy. But I don't see the appeal of Telltale Games, or the variety of other "point and click" adventure games that have cropped up. I don't want to conflate them with puzzle games that operate in this fashion (like...
I'll be cheering for Pittsburgh for gambling reasons that I made at the start of the playoffs. But, from the perspective of a Leafs fan who obviously had no stock in this, I would be very happy for either team. San Jose is a franchise without any past success and some great future Hall of Famers...
Without a doubt. All of Blizzard's stuff has had great cinematics from Warcraft to Starcraft. And then Diablo 2 had some awesome cutscenes between acts.
Oh my god, yes! I bought Overwatch and it's been a ton of fun for me. I get together with 4-5 friends and it's a great time. The characters are fun, the abilities are fun, the game looks good, but how is this perfect? How is it being hailed as the greatest game ever? How is it getting perfect...
Warcraft looked awful from the start to me. But, I agree - an Overwatch movie would be great, especially given the animated shorts we've seen so far have been pretty good. Some of the dialogue is pretty terrible, but I honestly think that's by design.
Haven't bought it yet, but my brother played through the game and didn't complain about any issues - and he complains about everything. Unless it's hardware on your end, I haven't heard much about issues with the game on PC.
Lured us in your with your complaints about COD. And then immediately go after The Witcher?
I'm surprised you didn't list Shadow of Mordor on there then if you think The Witcher's combat is terrible. Considering the actual combat styles are very similar (hack and slack, 3rd person over the...
Thought that may have been the issue, but I haven't seen anything to suggest that in the Kill cams. More likely just getting used to how the various abilities work to be honest.
I've noticed a lot of inconsistency with that the past couple of days though. Sometimes the damage seems like it travels through walls (I got killed when I couldn't even see the mech self-destructing) and other times I feel like I'm screwed and about to die and nothing happens.
Not really...
In terms of base content that includes a full single player campaign, I think you could argue that you get "more" at purchase with Battleborn than Overwatch (just playing devil's advocate here). Aside from "grinding" to unlock the champions in Battleborn, there's still more content readily...
