Dead Space 2 Is No Resident Evil 4

I gotta say that foldy uppy helmet thing in the Lost in Space movie pissed me off more than the CG monkey.

    Zero Punctuation: Duke Nukem Forever

about 5 minutes before this was posted /b/ had a thread discussing who jerked it to those strippers when they were a kid...guilty as charged.

Nearing the end of Fallout 3 and DAMN

About as slow as Oblivion. You'll get out of the vault in around 20-30 mins then its all open world. Good advice on the gamefaqs. I still have giant robots in my head, not practicality :)

Nearing the end of Fallout 3 and DAMN

There be spoilers here. So I'm on what I presume to be one of the final story missions and I gotta say, this game rocks. Following that giant robot as he rapes the remaining Enclave has satisfied so many levels of geeky pleasure that words just can't give it justice. When it...

    Entertaining drinking stories

My birthday of this year was co-celebrated with my good friend, whose birthday is two days behind mine. At this time I was renting a house with a bar in the basement. It was fully stocked : Whiskey, Vodka, Jager, Rum, and Sake to name a few. Plus beer (two 30 cases) and the amounts that the...

Why Do You Visit/Love The Escapist

Good news, reviews and well-moderated forums. Surprisingly, for a site about gaming there is a lack of pretension here.

Condemned - The Cure for Sleep

Well bugger me. Up until last week System Shock 2 held the title of scariest game I've ever played, and with good reason. Great atmosphere, storyline and sound created one of the most dreaded universes to play in. As the title would suggest though, I'm not reviewing System Shock 2 but Condemned...

    Tekken: What's the hype?

I can see what you're saying though, none of us want to be headcrabs.

    Tekken: What's the hype?

But see that's the thing - I only think they're going to be used like, say grapples for example. Something you can counter. Which is kinda cool.

    Tekken: What's the hype?

6 is going to be amazing hands down. The weapons usage in the trailers look like a welcome, if slightly one-sided, gameplay element. The lead-in animations looked long, which leads me to assume that they'll be easy to dodge. It looks like they're using these moves as punctuation marks after...

    Tekken: What's the hype?

The guttural feeling I get when playing it simply has yet to be matched. Being able to slam someone onto the ground, then have them skyrocket 20 feet in the air, hit the ground, then stomp them again on the rebound...I mean dude, that's awesome. The combos are like a sandbox.

PG-13 Rating For Max Payne, Extended DVD Release On The Way

Sounds like very little was changed though. Still seeing this at the theater. If it's good, I love helping out domestic box office takes for films that deserve it. I mean, Live Free and Die Hard was PG-13 and it still kicked all sorts of ass, so...

    Repo! The Genetic Opera

The more I keep hearing about this film the more I'm looking forward to it. In general I'm not a huge fan of musicals, but this one's right up my alley. It has a very apparent Rocky Horror vibe, with a great mix of sci-fi and gore, two of my favorite things. Right now I can't stop listening to...
