I didn't like it as much as the first, but I'll agree that the second one was good. Rebellion didn't make it, though, and this marks their first time with the franchise on the PC in 10 years. (Will be 11 when it comes out, most likely.)
Plus, the first one's online was ACE.

Well, it depends. Both sides have their craps and greats, although I find that JRPGs are an endless see of remakes, ripoffs, and generic uninteresting titles, so it's hard to find the good ones. But the good ones are, in fact, really awesome.
