Comics, Comix and Comic book fans; do you care if your comic books are digital?

Nominated this year for both a slew of Harvey and Eisner awards was Chris Ware's Buildings Stories. The Novel among many things is a valediction of the joy and interactivity of physical formats in an increasingly digital Comics Industry...

Do you have eclectic taste in music?

I think any one with good taste in music tends to have eclectic taste particularly to those without the dignity to stay off whatever local/indie/arthouse band is big this week and lacking the sense to avoid wallowing in genre indulgences. Both groups find variety somewhat alien in my experience...

So I played to the moon...

yeah i really liked it. I didn't get while i had to play it point and click when later on there was movement sections, it just seemed confusing. you could try dinner date, its where you play the subconscious of a office worker preparing for a date and being stood up. Its affecting in a...

Poll: Should there be an Oscar for comedy movies?

nah man, Animation gets its own award because its a fundamentally different discipline to film. Comedy doesn't need an award of its own because being a good comedy and a good film aren't as mutually exclusive as they are often made to be. But most of my favorite films are comedies or...

Would you want to live forever, if it meant your body wouldn't be with you?

I'll take any offer of immortality coming my way, preferably of the vampire variety. I guess I'm shallow that way but death frightens me.

    State of Indie

Its great that its there but it irritates me its the same game culture i get every where, same as mainstream just on a smaller scale. Too much zombie, fantasy and sci-fi, too many rpg's, shooters, puzzlers and whatever retro game is in vogue this week. I want more games like Cart Life...

Games with the most immersive 1st person views.

I really like condemned criminal origins, the way the view pitches and blinks with combat in a completely visceral manner. the game is probably the finest first person melee game and the only game to capture the bittier frantic and bloody fear of hand to hand combat, it turns every encounter...

Best music for a Poker Night?

jazz for poker? no way man you need the blues. Howling wolf's London session or some Lead belly or my favorite Sonny Boy Williamson. Otis redding is great as well but he's soul. if you must have jazz Mile Davis Kind of blue is probably the finest jazz record ever made.

Musicians that should write a videogame soundtrack.

the national wrote a track for portal 2, exile vilify it plays on the radios and is pretty good I'd love to see more of their work in games. I loved Jose Gonzales in Red dead redemption as well. My dream would be Neil Young doing the soundtrack for a sequel to Red Dead, he worked on...

    Off to Black Marsh...anyone?

I think I'm the only one who wants to visit Orsinium. Orc strongholds in Skyrim were my favorite places, I'd venture in with my Imperial and go native pretending i was in a fantasy dances with wolves orsimer style. so no i don't want to go to black marsh.

    Whats next for Bioshock?

I like the idea of spiritual successors that are all about ideas and less about setting and game play. I think that's where Bio-shock is going, even as far back as system shock its been a big ideas sort of series that used divisive gameplay or narrative techniques to explore big ideas. I...
