FEAR 2: very bad scripted and cliff-hanger with a big C!
Bioshock: Truly an amazing game, but the ending is just rubbish, dumb and waaay to short
Metal Gear Solid 4: Too long, too boring and lots of plot holes left behind
The legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker: Clearly one of the best Zelda games out there, but the ending is just dissapointing and gives no meaning at all...
Grand Theft Auto 3: Do I need to say more?

Gears of war 1, not the boss but the idea of that train.
Right lets think about it, a train with a bomb is going to go down a hole which is what the COGs want, yet they are put on the train. General Raam is riding the train, so what is he trying to do?
The bomb wasn't armed at the start of the level, the Locust were going to drop it into their hole to keep it out of the reach of the COGs. Raam was just there to make sure nothing went wrong.

All the COGs did was just arm the bomb and get out of there and let the train and the bomb do the rest.
Couldn't possibly have a remote charge?

[/quote]There is a point to it. It's a puzzel if you solve it your treated with more insite as to what happen to the prisoner before you. While that stuff over the bed is basically stuff about the end of the world. These are for the people who were smart enough to solve it but were not smart enough to steal the pen off of Vidic.[/quote]
When I played it the first time, I just walked around looking at stuff. And the letters all over the floor, I tried finding a secret message in them. I always got a few words out of the jumble, but never enough to solve any puzzle. I don't remember having to steal a pen from Vidic... Now I have to play the game again.
The original post was just me saying Assassin's Creed. When I went to get a Coke though, my brother thought he'd adlib for a bit... You can tell because of the bad spelling (its when it should be it's) and he doesn't capitalize his I's.
Hey, what do you get if you take the time to find all of the flags? An achievement (trophy)?

New super mario bros. I played as Luigi just to see if they bothered to animate peach giving luigi a peck on the cheek, while she did, then there was a slide show of all the levels I compleated, BUT THEY SHOW THEM WITH MARIO!

Fallout 3. Some really logical reasons were blocked out with the "you must furfill your destiny." Very disappointing after such a great game. Plus you were helped by an invincible ally so you barely get to kill anything and the last boss is equivilant to the fable 2 last "boss."
This.

There are quite a few spoilers. Readers beware!

Quite a few endings invoked anger in me. Halo 2's ending was a giant cock slap with the whole "Finishing this fight", cut to black cliffhanger.

Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil had a super homo ending, which shoving an artifact down this giant dragon/demon's throat followed by said monster trying to eat you, then the screen going white with your boss telling you "Welcome home". I hardly see how that provides closure.

I also hated the pre-Broken Steel Fallout 3 ending. It's an RPG, where you die and cannot continue leveling up. The fuck, Bethesda!

Metal Gear Solid 2 made me shoot angered testosterone out of every orifice of my body. It comes after a bad ass sword fight, followed by Raiden going on a lovely date with his girlfriend. Oh yeah, and Snake is on the phone with Otacon. (We have no idea how to close a sequel, recycle the ending somewhat from MGS1!)

...Ok, I'm done ranting and spoiling games.

You'd think that in the future they'd have been able to rig that kind of technology up. But I guess you'd just have to put it down to artistic license.

Wait, the OP stopped buying Halo games after Halo 2 and still bought Halo 3? I'm confused.
If you read carefully, he says that he stopped "buying" the franchise. Then he proceeded to say that most of the games he plays are borrowed from his friends, and I have a suspicion (actually, I'm quite sure) that he borrowed Halo 3 from one of his friends.
Okie dokie. That would make more sense.

I have the feeling I may have posted to this thread already but couldn't locate said post so...

The latest prince of persia game.
Forcing you to completely undo all the progress you made to complete the game was the absolute worst concept ever conceived.

MOH Rising Sun kinda sucked, they promised a sequel but I'm glad I don't have to play anything as bad as that ever again. Rising Sun was shite compared to Frontline.

Most recent for me would be Sanitarium. What's really offensive was, not only was it short, but seeing as the whole game had some of the best writing ever, I just cannot understand why they got such writer's block when coming to making a rewarding, original and intelligent ending.

Hmm.... I'd say MGS 4's. Why? Because after handling more or less all of the essential loose ends (and a few non essentials) they decide to remind you that there's still more to come. What? Without Snake? Fuck you.
[Hideo Kojima fanboy warning! You are dealing with an MGS fanboy!]

I think it's just fine that the series can continue without its flagship character. In my eyes, it's only a testament to how versatile Hideo's writing is. Even though Raiden's a hated character, I think the upcoming prequel will finally tie up all the loose ends (no, not all of them have been addressed yet) in his plotline.

[End fanboy warning]

OT: The ending to Call of Duty 4 made me laugh. Not because of the touching death of some of the lead characters, nor because of the traumatic struggle depicted, but because Griggs raps over the end credits. Seriously? "Deep and Hard"?
versatile? sorry but the fact that hes completly unable to kill off any of the main, non-evil characters is absolutly absurd. not to mention the completly deus ex machina ending [SPOILERS]where the new foxdie was killing the old foxdie so he wouldnt be contaminating everyone[/SPOILERS]. sorry, but his writing is ok at best when you take everything into account.
