Kids that try to hurt or kill themselves is way too common. This gets extra much attention because it was done in public. Could it have been another Columbine? Although I think its really the wrong way to go to shoot yourself infront of 70 kids, I also think its wrong to argue about his intentions when we really dont have a clue. Branding him a possible mass-murderer is a tad way down the slippery moral slope.
As for USA and their ridicilous gun laws: Yes, they're ridicilous, and its probably one of the reasons they have among the highest degree of gun-related violance in any modernized society on the planet. School-shootings included.
