I'm not going to lie, my original post was typed in somewhat a mix between despair and irritation, with no short amounts of outside anger thrown in for good measurement. You aren't wrong with what you say, and I think that you are spot on- that the exposure can be a good thing. I guess my comment was more aimed at the folks who use this sort of thing as a freak show, of which there always seem to be a lot of people on here.anthony87 said:I understand what you mean, however the kid being paraded around like a freak show as you put it could be a beneficial thing. The media attention will result in more people knowing about the child, which may result in a negative backlash towards the parents who will then get their act together and begin to properly take care of their child. This is all hypothetical of course but it's possible.Verlander said:Are you a 132lb 3 year old? Then he is different.anthony87 said:.....Seriously? You're saying you don't see a problem with a 132lb 3 year old child? Damn kid can't even open his eyes because his cheeks are so fat.Verlander said:OMG someone different??
*judgement judgement judgement*
That's not someone different.
That's a toddler who's going to have a heart attack in the next two years or so because his parents are fucking idiots.
All people are idiots. Everyone makes stupid decisions, whether its political, irrational reactions or whatever. Nearly always these decisions impact on others. Parading this child around like a freak show does nothing to solve his, nor any problem. Justify it to yourself however you want, but being judgemental over peoples differences and freedom is an arseholish thing to do.
For the record, I do see a problem with a child being so large. I see a problem with a lot of what people do. I'm not about to join the mooing masses just to point out the obvious flaws in something, especially something that impacts far fewer people than other bigger problems in the world. I don't know why he's that fat, and I don't know what the parents are like or do. In fact I know fuck all about the situation apart from there's a fat baby, that's being used on this site as entertainment. I find that more distasteful than how the child got in such a state in the first place.
People judge, it's what they do. However in this instance the child himself can't be judged, this is all on the parents, what with them being the parents and all. Although your point stands that at the same time it's not our place to judge. I guess the point I'm trying to make is that...I agree with you? Huh, perhaps that would've been faster to type.
People on the internet reaching an agreement without resorting to explaining what we'd do to each others' mother? Surely the end is nigh.Verlander said:I'm not going to lie, my original post was typed in somewhat a mix between despair and irritation, with no short amounts of outside anger thrown in for good measurement. lol, yeah right, it did make you want to hit more children tho so I am still rightCannibalRobots said:This is bullshit, my father kicked my ass whenever I pissed him off enough, and I came out a better person because of it.Worgen said:really all hitting a kid does is make you feel better, doesnt teach the kid a damn thing except hitting is fun.... or it could turn them onto bsdmCannibalRobots said:Heres a tip for his parents, Stop fucking feeding your kid so much, if he throws a tantrum, smack him.
Everyone is so damn scared of discipline these days, jesus christ...
really the threat of it is infinitely more effective then actually doing it
Also, I realize this child obviously has some sort of problem, be it thyroid or otherwise, but that doesnt give him the right to enslave his parents.
Heh,kewl! Thanks for remaking them. I've got a feeling this little bugger (term used loosely) is gonna be the inspiration for quite a few...HG131 said:EDIT: Never mind, reading fail.thethingthatlurks said:Ah sorry, they were only temporary demotivational posters. Didn't want to upload them anywhere else. Both were of the picture of him in the pool. The first one said something along the lines of "Exercise! Sometimes it is not optional." and the second one "Chinese Parenting! Fattening you up, so they can watch with contempt as you struggle against the waves."Grayjack said:The images are broken.thethingthatlurks said:Your wish, my command

That will keep me amused for a while.thethingthatlurks said:Let's not mince words here, they're afraid he's going to eat the other children. Frankly, I can't blame them...He has already been banned from nursery over fears his size might be a danger to other children, and usually plays alone at home.
HAHAHA Oh man, if there were a hell, we'd all be destined for it. Still, the kid will go through hell in school, might as well prep him for it...HG131 said:The other is too large for me to make it work. So, instead, here's one of my own:![]()
