The way you make it sound...It's like you can't wait for the zombie apocalypse and robot overlords. You all would think you'd died and gone to heaven.

Wait, would heaven include electing Sarah Palin? Or does that just cross the line...
Bring it on, well Robots would be ok if they let us continue to complain. Not sure about Sarah Palin, I remember wanting to hit my head repeatedly just listening to her talk, but that would be another thing to complain about....

At the end of the day Britain's Healthcare is rated 18th in the world, America's is 37th, so yeah i'm gonna say us brits are probably happier with our healthcare than Fox would like to admit. I sure enjoyed it when i got my broken arm put into a cast, had it check out by a docter 15 times in 4 months and then didn't get a bill for 10 grand. That was pretty sweet.

Im british and although our healthcare sure could use some reforming and more funding, i still think its one of the best forms of healthcare out there

Edit- When i say forms i am refering to universal healthcare

Fox told you this? Yeah, there's a legitimate statistic.

I've never met anyone here in the UK who would want it abolished, and no sane, educated person would NOT want free healthcare.

Australia?

Sure the system is all messed up due to a general lack of funding, but 70% wanting to remove it and start fresh?
That seems like bull to me in every way, our system isn't even the same as the UK's.
You beat me too it! YES, we Australians have a problem with our health care system but we don't want it scraped. We want it FIXED! We would NOT have this problem if health care funds, on all levels, where not being diminished to pay for other pet projects such as very long and expensive vacation for ministers, luxury vehicles and yet another pay rise. Not to even get into details about the wasteful 'military upgrade' plans and other crap Howard forced down our throats to please his foreign masters. Nor the stuff Rudd will force down our throats to do the same.

Without this funding hospitals couldn't expand to meet the population, hire more doctors without using third world rejects, or upgrade their equipment like they should of been doing. It should really say something when you live in a nation with world class medical research and training facilities, some even world leading, but you can't give any rewards for doctors to take jobs in rural areas, with much of Australia being rural, let alone stop them from going overseas to find more profitable places to work... such as Britain!

Then the politicians who caused this mess all use the devastation results as evidence that we need to scrap the system. Australians don't want it scraped as everyone who has looked at the US knows very well what system would go into place. We do NOT want our health industry owned by HMO's. Who would! We know it wouldn't fix the problem, just make another 'unofficial tax' we would have to pay on top of all the other taxes. One where we would have to pay, even if we can't afford to, or... well die.
We're stealing your docters? i never realised, i thought it was just your barmaids we stole and Fosters of course, a fine example of Australian beer ( just joking i know how you guys feel about Fosters jokes i just couldn't help myself)

I side with Fox on this one as 100% of the English hate everything.
When you say 'English', do you mean Britain? The UK?
One thing. Contrary to whatever ignorant, ill informed view you hold, people are never in total agreement.
Another thing, that's like saying 'The French are arrogant' or 'The Americans don't know what an atlas is for'. It's dumb, and often offensive.

For the record, I'm not 'English'. I'm 'Scottish', if you've heard of us.

And if you want to deal in absolutes, 100% of the English have a hardon for tea.
The rest of britain shares this enthusiam.

FOX NEWS ROCKS

at making stuff up and twisting the facts to only support their own agenda which is to completly destroy obama. They only interview their own workers from different shows and own bloggers, columnist, news reporters, etc....

Fox? You honestly consider them a reliable news source?
you consider any news source reliable?
I'm quite fond of this site refered to as 'The Escapist'.

Anything they don't tell you either isn't true or doesn't matter.

Whenever someone quotes a made up news story on fox news about healthcare, where they try to make out the rest of the world all are 3rd world when it comes to their health care systems.

Point them here:

http://www.photius.com/rankings/healthranks.html

The World Health Organization's ranking of the world's health systems.

1. France
2. Italy
3. San Marino
..
18. UK (For Fox News viewers benefit - UK includes England)
19. Ireland
..
36. Costa Rica
37. USA
38. Slovenia

I'm sure all you Americans are dead proud to be ranked just above Slovenia...

EDIT : fixing typos.

We British hate everything that's not perfect. And if everything was perfect, we'd be complaining how everything shouldn't be perfect.
Thanks, it's always nice to have a vote of confidence.

Hahaha, "heard it on fox"!
Yeah, there's the problem.

And us English? We hate everything. So picking the healthcare out of the mess, for thei own propaganda campaign? Fuck off you doss cunts!

Also: I'd rather always have some care than having medics rifling though my pockets while I'm bleeding to death on the side of the road, to check I can pay after they patch me up, and if it doesn't appear I can, then leave me to die. That is just sick.

Fox doesn't LIKE National Health Services, I'm just surprised they can lie barefaced about it.
Oh don't be surprised. They lie all the time. It is their job. They lie wrapped in some truths so it all looks good. Like that crap about Obama really being African. They really love that one too. It really goes on and on. Rush Limbaugh is another American source of sewage.
Not to mention that Fox actively fought for (and won) the legal right to lie to their viewers.

I take every thing I hear on the news with a pinch of salt, luckily our main news provider "BBC News" don't seem to be bat shit bonkers. It is true that the our health care service isn't perfect but would we swap it for the alternative... fuck no!.
Yeah, even here in America BBC is the most credible news source, which I find...disturbing. I mean, when your only unbiased news source is foreign, something is seriously wrong with your society.
axia777 said:
Which is exactly how Obama's plan will work. But all those screaming morons you see on the news don't seem to want to listen to the facts.
I know. Every time I hear someone screaming "We want choice!", I feel like screaming back "You'll fucking get choice, that was in the bill from the beginning!"

Sorry, let me expand: 100% of the English hate everything, their national pastime is whining about the bins being collected once a fortnight and "broken britain" (those pesky poles come in close behind "coming over here, doing our jobs!") That aside from basic apathy implanted into city-dwellers.

As for the Scottish, The best thing to come out of that third world nation of thieves and addicts was the idiot box (Baird's creation) and he pinched it.

Everyone loves tea.

Just heard this on Fox. Apparently 70% of people living in England, Australia, France, Germany and New Zealand want to, and I quote "Dismantle their health care system and start anew." Yes, I know this is bullshit but I'm curious how people of these nations feel about our media's portrayal of them, especially with all this health care hoo ha going on right now. Funny? Sad? Offensive? Also, do you know any people from any of these countries that actually do want to "dismantle the health care system and start anew."?
HAHA! Hell no we don't. We love the NHS, what kind of Bull is that.

With the NHS, I could fall down a flight of stairs every single day of the year, break a different bone each time, go into the NHS and get said broken bone fixed. It also gives me insulin for free, looks after my eyes and strives only to be better, to save more lives, not make more money. Admitadely there are places where it is much to be desired (Dental being one, as the dentists have realised they get paid more being private rather than NHS), but end of the day, I will be healed, I will see a doctor, they will keep me going and in most cases, I will have a games console in front of me too. Proveided I don't break my thumbs.

Fox is also sponsored by a fair few medical associations, so I'd be skeptical of anything they'd say about medical stuff.

I live in Australia. It's total, total bullshit. Fortunately no-one here cares what Fox News thinks.

This is kind of oldish but I would like to say that there comes a stage when Fox's pandering to it's demographic goes way too far. This is an example of one of these times. Fancy pulling a statistic from your arse that discredits the healthcare systems of five different countries to try and prove yourself correct? I mean that's just fucking insulting.

This is why so many people are misinformed.

I'm British and that is total bullshit..

If you're going to propaganda against a health care system in the USA at least don't use examples of countries who are obviously going to retaliate to your lies..

I hate going to the doctors, but not because it's a bad system, simply because I'm so bloody accident/illness prone that I'm now totally fed up with the damn place since I see it so often.

Someone needs to call them out on TV, shame it's not that simple.

Have they actually interviewed an average citizen yet? All I've seen of interviews with people on NHS care are the few who go into the doctors with a bad attitude and come out annoyed at their attitude back to them.

I think a funded health care system in America is the right way to go. The quality of service here is easily up to the same standard as it is in the USA. Obviously it varies from place to place, but are you really trying to tell me you've never had a bad American doctor? Obama is doing the right thing, I just wish people would see that..

I fail to see how free healthcare is BAD. Maybe there's some crazy logic behind that I don't know.
