If you haven't watched the movie accepted, go do it. Now, run to the local walmart or movie store, buy it, and watch it now. I don't care what time it is, My favorite movie of all time. and my two friends i made watch it, bought copies the next day, and have watched it so many times. Hmmm, i think i just figured out how to kill the next two hours.
I agree! Accepted is one of my all-time favorites too. Goooo S.H.I.T. Sandwiches!!!!!

OT: All of my friends have seen Teeth, they enjoy it. My boyfriend considers it a pretty good movie, and based on what he's told me, I can't disagree. Although I can't say for sure because I refuse to watch it.
I'd have to say....I dunno, Stargate Universe? I was so excited when I saw the previews, it looked really good. Then I went to watch it. The beginning is great, and maybe it's just because I have the attention span of a squirrel, but I felt like I was spending the rest of the movie waiting for it to get good and exciting again, then BAM, it's over. I could be wrong though, I may have to go watch it again. But based off of what I can remember, it bored me.

Unless you really enjoy bad acting, don't watch The Room. You couldn't get worse acting if you tried.
Ah, c'mon. The Room is so bad you almost have to watch it. :p

Ugh, that movie was so dumb, in my opinion. -_-

Anyways, the movie "Mirrors." There was one particular scene that I think has scarred me for life. >.>

Also, "The Rottweiler." It was just really really stupid. Painfully stupid.

The first rule of Slender Man is that you do not talk about Slender Man.

No, wait. That was something else. Bloody Mary, maybe?

http://www.mythicalcreaturesguide.com/page/Slender+Man

The Slender Man was created at the Something Awful Forums in a thread entitled "Create Paranormal Images." He is described as wearing a black suit strikingly similar to the visage of the notorious Men In Black, and as the name suggests, appears very thin and able to stretch his limbs and torso to inhuman lengths in order to induce fear and ensnare his prey. Once his arms are outstretched, his victims are put into something of a hypnotized state, where they are utterly helpless to stop themselves from walking into them. He is also able to create tendrils from his fingers and back that he uses to walk on in a similar fashion to Doc Ock, the Spider-Man villain in the Marvel Universe. The superhuman stretching ability could also be seen as a similiarty between himself and Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four. Whether he absorbs, kills, or mearly takes his victims to an undiclosed location or dimension is also unknown as there are never any bodys or evidence left behind in his wake to deduce a definite conclusion.
http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Slenderman

The Slenderman is a meme that originated on SA's forums in a 2009 thread topic Create Paranormal Images courtesy Victor Surge. It has since morphed into a bona fide urban legend somewhat akin to the Blair Witch Project that purports to be based on factual accounts of some kind of supernatural tall, skinny pedo who stalks and murders children.

Since then, Slenderman has became a fixture of /x/, where it has been so overrused, instantaneous assrape by other /x/philes can be expected when one so much as mentions it.

Therefore, using Slenderman is one of the best ways to troll /x/, generating much lulz.

The Slender Man is a mythical creature completely created on the Internet which has grown beyond its Internet Urban Legend status to become the target of pictures, fictional stories and videos about ?him?.

He?s often depicted as a tall and thin silhouette, wearing black pants, a black suit with a white shirt, and a black necktie underneath. What is startling and creepy about this creature is that he is usually depicted with absolutely no visible face. Furthermore, he can stretch out or shortens his arms as well as he hides some kind of tentacles on his back.

You can read a complete explanation of what Slender Man is here.
Origin

Back in June the 8th 2009, a ?paranormal pictures? photoshop contest thread was launched on the Something Awful forums. This idea to create scary pictures, and even to use them to trick paranormal forums, became entertaining among users there who started altering pictures and adding fake ghosts and other strange figures, typically appending fake stories to make it look more realistic.

On June the 10th, user Victor Surge wrote this post. It was the first known mention of the Slender Man as a creature who seemingly stalked children. That was also where the first two altered photos of him were created.
Phenomenon within the website

Those stories gained attention immediately. The very next day, Victor Surge continued to improve his newborn myth by adding another picture and a fake doctor?s account.

A few posts below, he posted again two new images.

This myth was starting to get shape and was growing in popularity among users, encouraging him to do more.

But it wasn?t until June 14th that another user, TrenchMaul, started reusing the Slender Man character for his own story. That thread, still active today, extends nearly 46 pages.
http://marblehornets.wikidot.com/slender-man

'The Slender Man' was the nickname given to a mysterious character seen in the background of several pictures in a SomethingAwful thread. The posts themselves were centered around children, and a certain man with a slender figure in the background of several pictures, sometimes appearing to have long, spindly, tentacle-like extraneous appendages.

The Slender Man was discovered at the Something Awful Forums in a thread centered around photos from a singular fire which killed many children in the '80s. He is described as wearing a black suit and black hat and as the name suggests, appears very thin and able to stretch his limbs and torso to inhuman lengths in order to induce fear and ensnare his prey. Once his arms are outstretched, his victims are put into something of a hypnotized state, where they are utterly helpless to stop themselves from walking into them.

"we didn't want to go, we didn't want to kill them, but its persistent silence and outstretched arms horrified and comforted us at the same time?"

1983, photographer unknown, presumed dead.

Whether he absorbs, kills, or mearly takes his victims to an undiclosed location or dimension is also unknown as there are never any bodys or evidence left behind in his wake to deduce a definite conclusion. Not much is known at this time, but his objective and habitat are fairly clearly agreed-upon. He has the need to kidnap children, and is seen right before the disappearance of a child or multiple children. He seems to prefer fog enshrouded streets and wooded areas as a way to conceal himself from being noticed. It should also be noted that children have been able to see him when no other adults in the vicinity could, though adults have also been known to see him at times. Children also have dreams or nightmares concerning The Slender Man before their disappearance. A disputed concept regarding the Slender Man is whether or not he can be seen by those other than his victims?many believe that if you see Slender Man then you are a target or prey, though there is no certain proof of this.

why does everybody find Slender Man so Scary? because after reading this thread i decided to watch the marble hornets series and read up some information about it, first i saw a video showing pictures, some of the pictures were quite freaky but none were scary, kinda like when people take photographs of ghosts, freaky but not scary. then i went on the internet to find out about him... turns out he is fictional (just like all the other myths) but that was obvious anyway, but if it was a true legend like vampires and werewolfs from hundreds of years ago it would of been alot scarier but because the idea was devised in 2009 i couldnt really take it that seriously.

Then I watched marble hornets, which was supprisingly good although it wasnt scary at all, i kinda saw it as a doctor who viewed through a blair witch project kinda thing, cause thats what slender man basically is, a sci fi villain, it was so obviously fake (you can see its a manikin or just his friend in a suit) but it was still very cool.

It was very cool though in part five or whatever where they are talking in the care and you see him in the alley when he moves his head, that made me kinda get twitchy but not scary.

I say people should watch it if they want something good to watch

PS. Slender Man is behind you

Devil May Cry, the Anime. I lost a good 1/2 hour of my life watching that crap first episode. Dante was a laughing boor. Admittedly, I've never played the games, but the whole time, my mouth was open, and I was thinking, "People like this character... WHY, exactly?" That's 1/2 hour of my life I will never get back.

We here always talk about horrifying and weird movies that have scarred us for life. This thread is to warn people about movies we've seen that we wish we could un-see.
Teeth. DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE! Don't ask about it, don't see it, don't even think about it. You have been warned. What movies do you Escapists want to warn your fellow nerd of?
Heh, it's not that bad.

Um. Other than shock vidyas, I've not seen much that has alarmed meh.

Maybe Pinocchio scared me when I was younger, but I'm not going to warn people off that for many reasons.

If i had to un-see anything it would probably be the marble hornets series on youtube. Slender man still creeps me out.
Marble Hornets is just the worst, most creepy thing ever to be filmed. The first time I watched those videos, I had nightmares, and I've watched every horror movie I could.
Well, I'm watching it the easier way - I'm saving all the videos (without watching them) onto my iPod, then watching them at school with friends.

So... yeah, I'm gonna regret this.

I mean the 1975 piece of crap that I wish I had never watched. I wish I could unwatch it. I want that time back. I want the damage that film inflicted upon me undone.

Starship Troopers 2. Built in the theme of; take a movie that's popular with fans, and remake it with excessive gore, nudity, disturbing 'bugs', and sexuality that's wholy inappropriate. And throw in some sanctimonious 'war is wrong' message at the end to try to seem like you're conveying a message.

Ungh, the first one was alright, but damn, when you try to carry a non porn movie on breasts there's a PROBLEM with it on a fundamental level. They took an action movie, tried to turn the setting into a horror movie, and FAILED miserably. Missed the entire point of the book and turn it into a god awful movie that's rather disgusting and disturbing rather than grim.

The only movie I've ever screamed instructions to characters on screen in.
