There is no meme strong to adaquitly relay how much... Yes, just Yes
You just said it yourself:
And after reading it myself, I can see that it deserves it. Honestly, I didn't understand certain words, but it's clear that her father is one helluva badass. And honestly, I was impressed at those gang members too, that they actually listened to reason. Doesn't happen very often in situations like that, I reckon.

That is the most beautiful thing I've read in ages.

I really, really, REALLY hope this gets some news coverage. Anyone want to e-mail this link to CNN?
Seconded... I'm going to try to email this to the BBC here as well, we need more stories like this rather than the endless news about killing and violence.

So long as this is a genuine article, and not a work of fiction, then I applaud it.
Sadly I have seen many beautiful things broken by false intention.

I want to make every last person who's ever called anyone else a fag on XBL read this. I want to make all the Mormon church leaders who spent millions of dollars making sure Prop 8 passed to read this.

That, my friends, is a real hero.

Remember, none of us are free until all of us are, and every time you oppress someone else you sow the seeds of your own oppression.
Here here.

Gee, a story about people I don't care about in a place I don't care about. Fun.
Then you clearly don't have a shred of humanity in you.

Good day.

No need to be a dick about it. If you don't care, fair enough, just leave it. Posting about how little you care either makes you sound like a troll or a misanthropic douchebag.

Thank you for posting that. It was quite an harrowing piece. It's strange to think that is happening on the very same planet, that father though, wow. I wish her the best she's quite determined.

"you have a different opinion therefore you should not post".

Good thinking there, captain Freespeech.

Anyway, on-topic: I skimmed through the text. So the father told the guys (whoever they were) off so bad that they left. ...Yay?
Sorry, but a different opinion is not the same as loudly declaring the lack of your opinion. Also I recommend you read through the text again if you have enough interest being that who the men were and the reason they needed to be told off is necessary to understanding most peoples' stance on this. Also as for the Freespeech comment, you may have the right to say it, but others have the right to criticize it.

Yeah, sure ok. While everyone will find this "inspirational" what I read is embellished facts of a spoiled rich girl.

The funny thing to me is, that as the servants stand there clapping today, a week later you come to find out that the entire family has been slaughtered. Most likely by one of their "servants"

Yeah, not really impressed, cause it really accomplished nothing positive.

That isn't an issue of freespeech there.

That is an issue of basic human compassion.

Read it through all the way.

It only takes 5 minutes.

Then post with a real opinion about it.
Skimming through it is not the way to get it.

Aside from someone not being taken away to prison, torture, and death simply for EXISTING?

And speaking as someone who has read through some of her other blog posts...

She is not just a spoiled rich kid.

She is an activist who is trying to make a difference.

"this story contains things I do not care about" is not the same as "I HAVE A LACK OF OPINION REGARDING THIS STORY" (loudly, as you say).

Criticize it all you wish, but don't go all "you shouldn't post here, we don't care much for your kind".
Haha fair point, I attributed qualities to it that weren't in the original post, sorry about that. Disregarding the "loudness" of the post (I'm chuckling at myself for being silly right now), I concur that saying it shouldn't be posted here is going to far, but calling him troll or douchebag is not. I suppose it probably irks people that he cared enough to post in the topic to tell people how little he cared.

Yes... and I'm just pointing out how much I don't like your opinion.

Which I can and will do.
