Victoria's Secret sells cotton PJs, perfume, soap, body lotion...all sorts of things that would be perfectly appropriate for a little girl to buy. Not everything there is a merry widow or thigh highs.
She's not lieing. Its true, I swear!

People are slowly becoming more liberal. Besides whats so evil about a twelve year old girl wear pink sweat pants that say "love" and have a peave sign on them?

mass media has made it unavoidable for kids to take their time growing up. when you watch tv dont you see some Victorias secret commercials? and bratz is a game that wncourages self entitles little "bratz" to run around and make fun ofthose who have better things to spend their money on than the latest shoe.

I blame all these Disney stars who all end up to be pornstars. Here that Hannah? Take the Playboy deal.

Time for a TV Nation poll!

"12.5% of Americans that voted for Clinton believe that they will someday be told "just what Victoria's Secret is."
98% of Bush voters believe they will never know."

What she said.

And I am also massively less concerned over the unseen fashion choices of under-agers when the visible fashion they wear is way more appalling. Why get upset over expensive underwear when their pants have less fabric than a dishcloth and their tops resemble Xmas ribbon.
well for one... with their choice of clothes for outerwear COMBINED with the choice of underwear we are left with the equivalent of what the doctor saw when he first said "Congratulations, it's a girl" or "Congratulations, it's a... hold on ..*snip* It's a girl"
for those of you that didn't get the second quote, too bad. For those that did, congrats you are some of the intelligent ones left in this day and age. And for those that did and imagined it, I apologize.

I am not surprised... What surprises me is that a 15 year old 'metal head' 6'4 (is my ex) going into supre' or whatever it's called and trying skirts up against him... i thought he was joking when he said he was going to do a gig in drag.... it was Horrifying..O_O the image is now in my head and it's not a good one O_O

Most of the music out there is whores, guns, whores getting shot with guns, money, lots of whores with money.
As well as an overwhelming amount of video game content. :)
You say that BUT name a game were the primary targets are ladies of purchasable virtue...? No, GTA and Saints Row don't count as you're meant to be shooting the rival gangsters in a city wide dick waving contest.
Did you seriously just say that it doesn't count because the content in question is not the main focus? So your parents let you watch horror flicks with graphic nudity and gratuitous sex when you were 8 because the killing was the main focus and not the sex and nudity? Um, ok.

I don't really see the problem unless you saw some teddy in the bag or something like that and even then why were you looking in her bag. I do agree bratz is a horrible role model for any young one. They do sell really nice normal PJ's and stuff. It is like buying underwear from target or wall mart but way better selection to find a good fitting one.

I think it is worse when you are a man who was sent into victoria secrets to get a bra for the wife she finds VS to have the most comfortable ones. They are pretty much always the solid colors no frills or anything. I don't know why but I always feel like a perve going through those stupid drawers to find a bra with the size that my wife told me to get her.

Its like this. You wouldn't want to send a pre-teen into a sex shop just because they have a -insert arbitary shop focused on pre-teens-

I can't say I've heard of that shop, I'll Google it in a minute.

But if she's about 12/13, you can't stop her growing up.

We don't have VS's in Canada either, it's a Lingerie shop...

Our equivalent is either La Vie En Rose or La Senza.

Yeah, but considering the situation and the day and age we live in I don't think assuming she didn't go there for cotton PJs...
You sound as though you want that to be the case.

This. Also, have you considered that maybe her mom was elsewhere and she happened to be caring her bags? The Bratz junk does promote a negative image but you should remember that companies don't come up with this stuff and then people discover it and buy it, companies find out what we want and make it, the dolls are a reflection on our culture not little girls.

In short, you may have overreacted a bit.

Could you actually see what was in these shopping bags, or are we just assuming what's there? Also, who's to say her parents aren't in the shopping centre somewhere. I know of young girls who wander into my store on their own but then their parents show up.
