Probably not too many people remember The Postman. I saw it in the theatre after hearing how bad it was. It seemed like most people had left after about half of the movie. My friend kept whining that he wanted to leave too. I loved it.

I seem to be the only person who liked the second "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie, which is the only one of the series so far that I actually liked as a whole.

I thought Charlie Bartlett was a great movie, but those damn critics thought otherwise.
Seconded. Also, as hard as it is for me to admit this... I didn't mind Night at the Museum 2. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't a great movie, but it had it's moments.

seen a few here which i agree with:
pirates of the caribbean 2 - while not as good as the first, still an excellent movie. the third had it's moments too, but it was mostly tripe.
galaxy quest - did that get bad reviews? honestly?
apaloosa - quality quality film
meet joe black - absolutely entrancing, and yet described as "bland"
starship troopers - although i did see a review in the Times which stated it was wonderfully satirical of american militarism. i found this hard to believe, partly because the characters were typical clunky aggressive verhoven characters, but mainly because i find it hard to believe verhoven has the capability to do any satire. i still love it to though.

mine is troy. seen it multiple times and i have never been able to understand why it is so disliked.

Repo! The Genetic Opera - rock/punk/industrial/pop(a little)/jaz opera/horror/triller.
Nobody I know has watch it so far. It is too bloody for the soft lyrical types and has music wich turn off the blood thursty types. Plus people just don't expect to like it. They know it is diffenrent and as we know being different is dead sentace in the movie buisness.
(few people did liked, me included, and I think that if you watch it without any expectations you will be sucked in around the 3 song)
I love that movie!

I thought the new Indy movie was ok. It wasn't that great, but it was pretty fun.

Starship Troopers. Why? because it doesn't take itself too seriously, and everyone knows it. People expecting a die hard translation of the book, when if they put aside the expectations, its a very entertaining popcorn flick.
Since reading the book, I actually respect the movie more, so you aren't alone in liking the flick. It is good as action, and surprisingly, it maintains many of the book's themes if you look for them (also, it got me to read the book, which I have to thank it for). I found an anime of Starship Troopers which follows the book more closely for characters and plot, but absolutely misses the fucking point for themes, leaving the movie far superior.

One of mine is Princess Mononoke. Yes, anime nerds love it, but I don't really associate with them. In general, several of my friends have seen it and dislike it because of an "anti-industrial" message. However, if you look a little closely, the key 'industrialist' character and all of her cohorts are never actually depicted as evil. Perhaps a little misguided on some things, but not evil. The main thing is that the clash of ideologies tears people apart, not the ideologies themselves.

I've only seen the 2nd and 3rd movies somehow, and I liked them. Just enough randomness and over-the-top cliche to be sweet.

Falling Down... I get why others don't like it... but Versus? It's got comedy, kung fu, zombies, gunplay, parodies, and Japanese badasses... it's like an Eastern Evil Dead with martial arts! You're not supposed to take it seriously!
I have never heard anyone not liking those movies. I guess I just tend to not want to associate with that crowd. They are just not good people.

Lost Skeleton of Cadavra: Not so much people don't like it, people have not seen it. Brilliant mockery of a 1950s scifi film. In fact I would go as far to say it could pass as one and no one would ever know.

Last Action Hero: That movie is amazing! The fake Hamlet trailer is enough to make movie brilliant. Okay, so the last half kind of lost it, but most of it was bad on purpose. The movie was essentially making fun of itself the entire time.

People like the Lost Skeleton movie, because bad movies are made good by making fun of them. Now, as for me...

Killer Klowns from Outer Space.

Ultraviolet. It's pure cheese and it knows it which is why I love it.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
Oh hell yes. My whole family loves that movie. When I was young and it was on TV it was 'sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up time.'

I've got to say Man on Fire remake with Denzel. It captures a unique relationship between a man and a girl that has nothing to do with family or sex, plus it's got plenty of violence which is always good.

I loved that movie,
my parents let me watch it when I was about 5 years old,
I thought the brainbug was hilarious
