I heard Resistance 2 was like a cross between Wii Animal Crossing and smash-hit TV show The Office (British version). Truth?
He gave his own reasons for not liking the game, though some of his critiques were odd and it seemed that he concentrated mainly on the scenery.L.B. Caused a bit of fuss in the forum if I remember correctly.

I didn't even consider an xbox (orig) til a year after the 360 launch. There was a few titles I thought would be worth playing so I picked one up. Lasted about 3 days with it before I traded up for a 360. I was a Sony fanboy until then. Had a PS1 and a PS2 both since near launch. And I love the 360 controller. I didn't feel the transition period I was expecting. I have no problem with accuracy or screaming 13 yr olds (cuz I am one of the few that understands how to use the mute function if needed). Throw me in front of a mouse and keyboard and I am screwed. Just because one person can shoot the wings off of a fly in mid flight using a keyboard and mouse doesn't mean another can't do the same with a controller.SinisterDeath said:You know, I've always had issues with fps's on consoles, I started out playing shooters on the pc, (same with tactic games like warcraft), and everything else on the console.
The whole analog controllers just don't do it for me. (The xbox controller is worse at fps games then the ps controller imo, but this coming from someone who played the orginal PS. I bet all of you who think the xbox controller is easier, Played the xbox first...(and the only reason the xbox controller is so large, is there target consumer are football playign frat boys.))
Anyways, if you are used to a mouse, they do have a controller for the PS3, that uses a mouse instead of the right analog stick.

Now before you say 'that looks like a wii mote!' its not, and your an idiot.

2. all they ddi was take a ps2/3 controller cut it in half, left the left side nearly intact with some shape modifications (to make it holdable on the left hand). The right side, they turned into a mouse, and moved the 4 shape buttons on the left side of the mouse.

Whoa there buddy, I think it's time for the meds. I was just making an entertaining comment that poked fun at my progression into my mid to late twenties. I guess you could say that about my entire rant...Nerdfury said:I don't believe I made any reference to your age at all. Try re-reading what I wrote.
No shit. That's why it is called a rant. However, I did go back and add a sentence about my experience with Halo 3 to help with perspective. I have to go, your mum is calling.Everyone Else said:Wahh! The OP is a retarded bastard because he didn't do an indepth analysis of the game and its genre before posting his internet forum rant!
Who the fuck thought that would be a good name for a phone?General_Rogue said:Motorola StarTac [snip]
First, the Motorola StarTac: Dude, they are Japanese. Awesome technology, wacky pop culture.Steelfists said:Who the fuck thought that would be a good name for a phone?General_Rogue said:Motorola StarTac [snip]
Also, Killzone appears to have ridiculous amounts of motion blur, at least thats what I thought when I watched some gameplay. Did you find this to be the case?
Run and Gun? Were you playing with God mode on, because even on normal I died after every third hit.CanuckMan216 said:its because ur playing the game wrong. this isn't a cover game like gears of war, its a much more of a rushing game. i rarely used cover on hard and i just sailed through it, no problems at all. the cover they want you to use is the big shields that shoot out of the guns. before you start blaming the game try changing your playing style.

I think I know what you mean. If you're used to PC games, it could be that you sit farther back from the screen than usual. Maybe the it has to do with the fact that there isn't much variation in colours, maybe?General_Rogue said:First, the Motorola StarTac: Dude, they are Japanese. Second: Are you asking about motion blur in Resistance 2 or Killzone 2? I won't get the chance to play Killzone 2 until tonight. As far as Resistance 2 is concerned, I don't believe there is any motion blur during gameplay. Maybe it is the frame rate or the resolution, but I really had a problem "connecting" with this game and having a sense of bearings, if that makes sense. Whatever it is, it is something specific to Resistance 2, and not just a console FPS problem.
I actually think that is an incredibly insightful comment.Steelfists said:Maybe the it has to do with the fact that there isn't much variation in colours, maybe?
Your personal lack of skill does not make a game bad, it just means you don't know how to play it correctly. As I said before, you went into this game with no idea of what to expect and hardly any skill with FPS games. Run through the campaign on casual once or twice, then try it on the next highest difficulty, then the next highest.General_Rogue said:Run and Gun?
