The multiplayer ones. Most of them are "Reach a certain rank", "win x number of matches", or "play x match y number times".

Beating each individual mission on the hardest difficulty setting. Why can't there just be one big one? You're wasting space for creative achievements.
i agree :/ .... wicked pic by the way...

As many people said, "Do shit in multiplayer!" achievements. What if the multiplayer sucks? I'm one of those achievement psychos who like going for all of the achievements, but they're just getting so repetitive. I like what Valve does with achievements, there's a lot of creative ones.

An example is:

You'll Feel a Little Prick
Assist in killing 3 enemies with a single ÜberCharge on a Scout.

That's a good achievement, because it's not something you would usually try to do with an ÜberCharge, and it takes a certain amount of skill to actually do it.

A lot of stupid ones I see are story achievements. Achievement unlocked: You are still playing our game here is some points! Seems almost like the game has confidence issues. Here's some points please keep playing!

I used to care about achievements but then one day I was wasting time doing a really annoying one and I put the controller down and said..wtf am I doing this is meaningless. Anyone else have that moment yet? I mean sure some are fun to get so I do them but making myself miserable for some stupid points that do NOTHING seems like an even bigger waste of time. Nobody cares, after I get them I don't even care lol. That's just me though.

Killing mandatory boss 10 minutes into the game.

Yay?
This is pretty much it for me. It diminishes the meaning of "achievement." Yeah, I'm playing this game. I was going to kill that guy anyway. I guess they wanted to reward me with an achievement for not quitting the game before playing the first level.

My favorite ones are the neat, weird, obscure, fun things that you normally wouldn't do in the game. Like in multiplayer, instead of kill X dudes, you could stack guys on top of each other like a human pyramid 4-5 players tall.

I hate getting all the stars in Modern Warfare 2's spec ops. It's a 90 point acheivment and the only one I don't have. Just need to do Wetwork on veteran (Did everything else on veteran, did wetwork on hardened)

Achievments I do not like:

- "Perform unavoidable action X."
Eg. Finish level 2. Like in Resident Evil 5.

- "Perform X basic action Y times."
Eg. Kill 50 enemies with the pistol. Like just about every achievment in Just Cause 2.

- "Collect X of Y."
Eg. The flags in Assassins Creed.

...

And then there are the ones I do like:

- "Perform X unusual action once."
Eg. Beat DOG in the race to White Forest.

- "Beat level X in unusual manner Y."
Eg. Some of the levels in Metro 2033 can beaten without killing anyone.

- "Get alternate ending X."
Eg. The endings to Metro 2033.

- "Perform optional task X."
Eg. Mass Effect 2 loyalty missions.

Sadly, in most games the crappy ones tend to far outnumber the interesting ones. If this were not the case I would probably pay more attention to the the bloody things.

Do __________ in _____ Multiplayer Mode

I have plenty of friends, you're not my mom Xbox devs and you cant make me interact with other humans!
I hate multiplayer achievements (and trophies). I feel it excludes people who don't have internet (or don't want to pay $50 a year) from getting 100% completion...that's like paying for a full cookie but only getting to enjoy half of it.

I hate multiplayer only achievements. I don't have xbox live, although I would like it, and it just pisses me off when I see that I only have like, a quarter of the achievements in some game, with the rest being impossible for me to get.

Definitely beat the game on the hardest setting. Most Achievements in a Call Of Duty game revolve around this.

Also, most of Mass Effects achievements, I will not play through the game 85% 4 times and hang around with characters I don't even like.

i agree, luckely Dante´s Inferno didnt do that (2nd highest difficulty, Hellish, gives every enemy 1 or 2 hits kills on you). but Bioshock did that (WITHOUT VITACHAMBERS, Gawd) and thats why i hate its trophy list.
