I sadly sat through an episode of the clone wars at work one day and it was even better than MW2 was...
The strangely good cartoon (if a bit short) or the CGI (which I haven't seen enough to form an opinion on)?

Activision may be on to something here though. I was bored one day and decided that during the week I'd watch all episodes in order from Episode 1-6 (Yeah, don't even pretend that I'm the only one who's done this on the Escapist). I have to say that my experience with CoD was just like Episode One. The stuff I actually wanted to see was pushed into the background by a few major annoyances (I now have a name for this: Jar-Jar and Anakin), the story was barely there, and ruled by action scenes, and only willpower alone kept me going through it.

Activision, if you're going to pretend one of your products was the "greatest thing of the generation", try either a Spiderman game or Transformers: WfC. Frankly I was bored with Call of Duty the second I heard it was a shooter set in WW2.

Wow... just wow.

This is almost as bad as when Kotick said that CoD was the primary reason for 60% of Live subscriptions.

Seriously Activision, cut this shit out before you make things even worse.

Not a fan of Call of Duty, and Activision's douchebaggery makes me fear for the future of Bungie. If you want this generation's Star Wars, look to Mass Effect. That's the closest we've come yet.

Hahahahaha... Call of Duty is no where near Star Wars... Star Wars is a classic still relevant 40 years later. Ask any kid who Darth Vader is and they will know. In 40 years no one will remeber CoD.
Heh, at the rate they're going with the series in 40 years there's going to be a COD 46 released :p, anyway the CEO is retarded as it seems all of the Activision CEO's are, besides Star Wars is still one of if not the top franchise even now, and will probably still be long after COD is dead and gone.

Wow Activision is getting cocky. I hope they realise everyone love Infinity Ward and NOT them. I bet they are going to charge for multiplayer because "We are so awesome that we need money to continue making our great game(s)!" Even though they have just been making one game over and over again with differnt graphics.

They're still rerunning that show? Or were you talking about this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wars:_The_Clone_Wars_(2008_TV_series) (This is a perfect example of why when making a series set almost at the same time as another, you don't just change the title by adding "The" to it. Confusion is inevitable)

If I were to ask my mom who Lunke Skywalker is, she'd actually know the answer.
Now, if I asked about Soap... not so much.

I think it is that one. Some cheesy thing between Episode 2 and 3 with some female alien type thing that I don't remember in any of the movies...

No, Star Wars is this generations Star Wars.CoD is the thing that put most shooters on track. Kinda like how all MMOs want to be like WoW and all sandbox games want to be like GTA games. Shooters want to be like CoD, Halo and or Bioshock, "fun".(FPS RPGs are different, not sure who they want to be like.)

Just wanted to say, that if this is truth, then indeed, this generation is a very sad generation, and we can only hope it wont decline any further...
Sorry Activision, i don't care for your shooters and i don't intended on playing them, in this life or any other.

"Oh please, somebody hit him."
its really just a generic shooter, so they shouldn't make claims that are totally off scale.
EDIT: why do I need to get activision fail news every day??? cant they just stay quiet for a minute and stop trying to extinct a fire with a flame thrower?[blahblahblahrage etc]

CoD4 is a great game (in my opinion). But it didn't revolutionize a thing. Unless you consider the stream of "perks" and weapons that need to be unlocked in every game since CoD4 a revolution. Seems like a step back, to me. Why worry about pacing of getting weapons when the player can just buy or unlock a gun?

But this claim is a bit much. Glad they're proud of their successes, but they should at least have some modesty.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!

No it isn't. This reminds me of that Ortega guy from the Gears of War team saying that the Lancer is /will be as iconic as the Lightsaber.

No it fucking ain't.
