what is wrong with you people? Neither Deniero nor Pacino have been mentioned yet. Although for anyone who's seen Stardust, it's impossible to take Deniero seriously ever again afterwards. Even when I see him in older movies now, I just crack up laughing.

Also, Robbin Williams, especially in serious roles. Dead Poets' Society, anyone?

And how is it no one has yet given praise to the man with the best movie swagger of all time: The Duke?

As for actresses, Susan Sarandon, Katherine and Audrey Hepburn. I like Scarlett Johansenn, but I'm not sold on her acting ability. Cate Blanchett is awesome. Always.

Robert Shaw, to mention a name not mentioned yet. Flint from Jaws, Doyle Lonnagan from The Sting, Mr. Grey from the original Taking of Pelham One Two Three...

Oh... And how could I have possibly forgotten Tim Robbins?
Man, I feel like a jackass for forgetting him.
Donald Sutherland too.

I'm gonna give into my blatant fanboy-ism, and say, Bruce Campbell.

Also,

no Simon Pegg yet?
frankly I'm shocked, disappointed and hungry
This. Very much this.

Robert De Niro. Greatest living actor, probably greatest ever. I have enjoyed every roll I have seen him in with no exception off the top of my head (and I've seen quite a few of them).

Brad Pit also seems to land some dynamite roles in very good films and truly embraces the part whatever it is, whether he is a downtrodden office workers alternate persona or a reluctant vampire.

I'm not sure I can tell good acting from average, and the world is full of good-looking people, so that just leaves a sort of charisma. For some reason, I have real trouble coming up with actresses like that. Maybe because even the good ones don't consistently get roles where they could show it?

Had to think for a while before I came up with guys not mentioned already:
Takeshi Kitano, Benicio Del Toro, Ralph Fiennes, Vincent Cassel
