This has been bugging me since you posted it. I know I've seen that comic before, but I can't for the life of me remember where. Since I can't remember, would you mind telling me what it's from?

Seriously, get on this Feninja. Seriously, that was the first time I've called you that. If you don't want me to do it forever, get a comic up. Please?

Geez, I'm only about quarter way through it now.
I was away for a few weeks, and my mouse steadyhandedness seems to have taken a blow from not using it for so long.

I could finish it at a point that says "To be continued" and make it a four part thing, since it's going to be a fairly long comic if I do the whole thing at once.

Take your time, I don't like cliffhangers. Mostly.

You could say you're on a schedule where you update every week because everyone knows that that means updated every interrum period greater than or equal to a fortnight.

And if you want more visual sort of proof; look there on the shoulder, see the red thing?
Well that's Gerald.
Then why does he look boiled?
Gerald is special. He's been through a lot, so he's tough because he needs to be. He's had his heart broken and has learnt to be harder. I guess he looks boiled and isn't blue simply because he is so...
Also, is that a second pair of sunglasses that guy is taking off/putting on?
if it is then that has serious style.

Nah, as long as you're working on it. I thought you just sorta ditched it. Thanks Iron Ninja.

EDIT: Archemetis, I think that's representing the movement. It's serious style either way though, I used to love that show.

He has at least three pairs on under those, too.

Oh geez. Way to put the pressure on me by necroing Mr Dingo.
Uh... By rough estimate I'd say I'm about a day or two away from completion of the next strip.
I chose a very bad plot for this particular one, so I've been hard pressed to get motivated enough to keep drawing it. Still, almost finished, and then I can get back on to doing strips that won't take 50+ days.

Alright, here goes nothing.

Now that's over with, it's hurried explanation time.

I'm none to happy with this one. A lot of that might well be due to the extreme lateness of it, but it's also my opinion that this strip can't possibly have been worth said wait. I'm willing to be surprised and proven wrong, but I'm not expecting it.

It's very much a storyline set up sort of strip, I figured no matter what I did at this point, the general response could quite likely be along the lines of "We waited 50+ days for this?" So it seemed a good time as any to set a proper plot point in place for once.
The invasion thing is an eventual plot development though, so Larry and Iron Ninja wont be neck deep in a sea of demons in the next strip, but at least it gives me some kind of eventual thing to aim them at, rather than having them travelling around in a cart for no good reason.
Anarchemitis might like to note that this does not mean I'm abandoning him as a villain, he's still very much a part of the story, and will certainly re-appear.
And since people love guessing these things, I'll reveal who the cameos are in...

I put a man hanging from a tree at some point, and later on hanging from that red and black cliff/caste wall thing. Though the original though behind this was that the demon realm was full of bad guys that hang people, I figure it can also serve as a cameo for one Spartan Banana.

The night sky in Themis (psst, that's the name of the place with the cart) has a fractal floating ominously in the night sky, because Themis has really weird astronomical events, but also so I could put Jamanticus in the comic somewhere.

The identity of the dark figure atop the black and red castle or whatever it is was supposed to be unknown for now, but Jamanticus (who I sent the comic to for a "yea or nay" before posting it here) noticed who it was without any prompting, so I guess I made the silhouette a little too obvious. It is Eviljoe.

Oh and that black tentacle dinosaur thing? I don't really know what that was meant to be, just had to be something worse than the duck I guess.

The duck is referencing two things. One is the infamous Duck thread, the other would be a picture made in the "What's happening to Larry?" Forum game a while back (which as the title might suggest, is the origin of Larry) where he was getting chased by a Duck.

No special points for guessing who the guy that called himself Ares Tyr was supposed to be.

Now that I've gotten this strip out of the way I can hopefully get back to making them more regularly.
Though I'd hazard a guess and say that weekly comics is unlikely, I've found that when I set a deadline for something, it just takes me longer for some reason. So the next comic will come when it will come, though I'll try my darnedest not to take quite as long this time.

Oh, and special thanks to Jamanticus for being the person I tested the badness/goodness of the comic on prior to posting.

It may have taken forever, but it was definitely worth wait. I couldn't stop laughing the entire time I was reading it.

A very enjoyable read, and as always, I can't wait for the next one.

Bravo! A great comic. But I have to ask:
A) What happened to the town?
B) What happened to the guy who was called a magician?
C) What happened to the king?
D) This is going to be the definite story line, right, because this is turning tinto a Metal Gear Solid-esque head scratcher.
Amazing comic, and I can't wait for the next one. Well, I can, but I won't enjoy it. Thats not 100% true either, you know what? It depends. Let me try again:
I may not like waiting for your amazing comic.
Yea, that works.

Yeah... It's a comic, but it's gonna be good honest.
I'll have all sorts of escapist-based in jokes and guest appearances.
You'll see, it'll be fantastic (or fabulous if you'd prefer that word)

I suppose a little bit of reasons for this comic might be in order.
Well you see, I wrote a "review" of Commander Keen: Goodbye Galaxy a while back, what this review lacked in actual, uh... Reviewing-ness, it made up for with snazzy comics.
I received about six requests that I start my own comic and of course, being the egotistical bastard that I am, I got super excited about it and began on my own comic strip.

And so I decided to put it here, many thanks to Anarchemitis and X434343 for giving me the idea of making a thread for this comic (instead of attempting to make my own site, which I can only assume I would suck at)

Here be the first one (sort of half arsed though it may be)

You're still here!?
Well then, I suppose there's no harm in showing you the second one I made.
I decided to go more for a story type comic than a "set up, set up, set up, punchline" sort of comic, so apologies to anyone with a short attention span. As it's rather long (28 panels)

The premise is that it's based in the mythical land of Themis (because "Escapia" would have been a bit too obvious) and it will (for now at least) follow the Iron Ninja and his band of companions on their journey, running into all sorts of slightly subtle forum related in jokes and a large cast of zany (yeah I went there) special guests.
The above comic was more of an introduction than a showcase of what the other comics will be like, I will try my darndest to have it concern other escapists instead of just me all the time.

Suggestions/Criticisms/Death threats are welcome.

Edit:
Here be links for ye to the later comics, instead of you having to run through the (much appreciated) comments to find them

Comic 1 & comic 2: right here.

Comic 3:Here

Comic 4: Here

Comic 5: here

Comic 6: here

Basically, I say KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! It's really good, I have seen better (like Yahtzee Takes On The World, for example), but with a bit more work this could definitely rival those. Very good, well done.

Of course, what would make them even better is referencing me at some point. Yes, I have a big ego. Please don't hold it against me...
