After Mass Effect 3

Personally I would love a Mass Effect based RTS or perhaps a battlefield clone. What do you want?

Ugh, aren't there enough good sci-fi games/movies turned into mediocre RTS games? The immersion factor just gets taken completely out when you are commanding everything that's going on.

And the battlefield idea takes story pretty much completely out of it, not to mention the lengths they went to make a believable universe of technology all based on the rather simple "mass effect" phenomenon. All that societal and technological sci-fi reduced to a simple multiplayer-based shooter?

I'd prefer something more like another SPECTRE storyline, like following Nihlus or a First Contact War storyline.

I don't agree with their decision personally. Sometimes it's best to just let things peacefully die.

It has been stated by Bioware that Mass Effect will not end after Mass Effect 3 so what games would you want set in the Universe of Mass Effect?

I think you should maybe clarify that they said the Mass Effect Universe will not end with Mass Effect 3, not that Mass Effect: the series about Shepard will not end. People seem to think their planning just to spin out Shepard's story arc forever, I think.

After Mass Effect 3 the story of Shepard, the most badass space marine and soldier of all time, will end.

We'll still have more games after that though. They just won't be focused on Shepard. I'm sure he'll be alluded to but we'll see an entirely new character.

I'm for the idea of playing as Shepard's child. Bioware could use import saves from ME3 to determine his/her past. You could also see Shepard eventually but an older version based off how you designed him in the beginning.

Best part about this? They don't have any voice acting problems to run into since they can still call you Shepard.

A game where I can play as one of the other races. I don't mind if it is the usual 3rd person game, or a MMO, I just want to play the other races.

With gleeful contemplation: Imagine the fun of being an Elcor.

A third person shooter called "C-Sec" where you play as a C-sec officer. But not if it's cover based combat. I want run and gun with frantic firefights and dual wield weapons. Now that would be awesome. Some RPG elements would be nice too like upgrading weapons and aim and stuff like that.

It would be a shame if BioWare let the potential of the Mass Effect universe die with the last instalment of the trilogy. No one says it has to follow the footsteps of Commander Shepherd, and neither do I (personally) think that this would be anything but catastrophic.

But there is a-lot to play with: the Geth/Quarian conflict (if still persistent after ME3), the various factions/organizations and their conflicts (Alliance, Cerberus, etc..), unresolved mysteries about the Citadel--and the list could go on and on. They've created something so rich with detail that discarding it would be a waste.

Now going ahead and selling their IP out to other companies that might not do as good as them... Agh. I shudder to even think about that..

I'd like a new story set in the same universe. Like maybe you can have a character that can be Turian, Asari, Krogan, Volus, Elcor, Hanar, etc..

And I don't see a Mass Effect based RTS working, to be honest. Same with the Battlefield clone idea.
