Well I know that I like paintball...

I'd already decided to have a couple of goes before I bought a gun just to be sure
Airsoft is far better and far more fun than paintball!
I think I may take a few mates as well. I have a friend who goes paintballing every other weekend. He's so well known and better than usual (not that that makes sense as a sentence) that he gets the £10 gun upgrade for free and the older regulars give him grenades as we're not allowed to purchase them ourselves

You should, the more the better! Especially when you get all the camo and webbing. You'll find it slightly more involving than paintball.

There's, possibly his little bro (who's awesome, there's a game mode where one team has to get a bomb inside the fort while the other has to stop them. They have the top two times) and another mate who's got a proper rifle. If all four of us go it'll be pretty fun!

Yup, there's normally 14/20 of us on a regular outting - sometimes increasing for over nighters or themed skirmishes.

14/20 per team or just out of your friends? Cos I don't have that many friends who'd want to go...

No, haha my team of mates normally consists of 8/10 at most then theirs 10/20 regulars depends on the day and what people are doing - but it's always better with a load of people!

I think having more people makes pretty much everything better!
And I take it you have all the camo and stuff? Do you actually get much benefit out of it because in Paintballing camo wouldn't be very useful

Yes, unlike paintball you're not being shot with, paint! So it actually works like it would do. the only downside is washing it all afterwards! That takes for ever...

The webbing and Hydration packs are your best friends - Allows you to drink when fighting and stops your pockets being bagged down with magazines/battery packs.

Hadn't thought of that, How long do the games last that you need hydration packs and what are the game modes that camo helps?

Hydration packs ARE ALWAYS useful - 2L and up. Camo is useful for every occasion. It helps you blend in and might stop you from being shot... repeatedly - also, gloves. Gloves are the shit. Protect your knuckles and the backs of your Ear's, because that shit stings.

Not got any pics at the moment, but I've got an ICS M4CXP with Crane Stock, and a metal 1911. The team I play with went to stirling this year in the UK as the Chadian Militia, and are going again in August. 24 hour milsim is the best way to play :)

Had a filmsim last sunday, stormed a base and bagged 2 pistol kills and a surrender kill :)

My weapon of choice is the CA CQB M4 with a Marui Glock 17 sidearm. I've got two or three hi-caps for the M4 that I only use for day games and 4 midcaps that I stick to for night games. The Glock, being my last resort in most cases, only has the two mags that come with the gun but it's really fun to use.

I've nicknamed the M4 the facemasher, in remembrance of some poor sod that I shot as he was coming down the stairs at the far end of the hallway whilst neglecting the unwritten rule of keeping your mouth firmly closed. As he walked past he said "You can have these back" and spat out a couple of rounds. I just love that gun. In all the time I've used it, even on a woodland game when it was pissing it down, which took out two of my friends' guns, it kept performing.

As for carrying the gear, I only use a tactical vest with 8 mag pouches and several other pockets which end up getting used for maps, mission briefings, glock mags, grenades and the odd mars bar or two.

Be aware if you plan on renting a gun for the day though, as in my experiences with people using them has been less than 100%. To give an example our squad of 5, in a team of around 60, was pinned down in the final minutes of a building defense. Three were on separate windows picking off the people using the stairs into the fire exit and the guy with the rent gun and myself were covering the door. He crossed the doorway, span to face the windows and threw himself against the wall before a volley of shots pinged off the broken light fitting. We were just about to lean round the corner when his AK literally fell apart as he held it, leaving me to deal with an m249 mounted on a windowsill facing the door and the entirety of the opposing team that were coming up the stairs.

I think he changed guns two or three times over the course of the day, settling on a G36.

I assume Paintball gloves work?
As they're plastic backed. Dunno what to do for ears though

I have some for cosplay purposes. I have a double eagle S&W Sigma pistol that stings like a ***** when it hits and a sweet Tokyo Mauri MP5 springer.

Camo helped me take out half the op once - Hid in a bush and they all walk past me...They thought it was friendly fire until someone saw me moving for a reload.

Also having a dump pouch is great...Empty mag? Drop it in your dump and forget about it \o/

Anything to cover the knuckles will do. Boonie hats normally do the job for ears.

Hmm. What's dump pouch? Like a bag you strap under the magazine so it just drops in when you reload?
