How much did the gear cost? And how long did it take for you to accumulate it?LORD GREN said:[/spoiler]![]()
I don't have the exact numbers, but I have come up with a reasonable good guess, keep in mind this price includes every thing, that means guns, clothing and extra things like a radio.Smagmuck_ said:How much did the gear cost? Well... some of the guys I play with makes me feel the same way, you wouldn't belive the amount of money they spend on it. And I edited my response it's 2283,5 USD for the clothing, I thought you asking about it all, not just the clothing.Smagmuck_ said:O_OLORD GREN said:9242,2 USD
Jesus... Doing the math on my future rig only comes to about $500... >.>

Huh, since I'm going for MW2's Shadow Company look, it's mostly just Coyote Brown and Black. So it roughly goes to about $400 to $500, and that's NOT including the weapons, magazines, magpuls, and BBs... Which would bring it to a grand total of between $900 and 1G... So meh, I just have to keep saving up paychecks. And I can't order all the gear at once, my parents are paranoid about anything being seized by U.S Customs... >.>LORD GREN said:Well... some of the guys I play with makes me feel the same way, you wouldn't belive the amount of money they spend on it. Just cover the tip with black duck tape for duration of game, then peal it off when outside game area for legal reasons, solvedCowabungaa said:I reckon it's balls for surprise tactics though, those orange tips are a dead give-away.Rhymenoceros said:So it's actually really hard to avoid orange tips in the UK
I'd like to get into airsofting myself, but it's downright illegal in the Netherlands. Sometimes I can't stand this country.
That makes it an illegal item to own, you know, you could start a Airsoft team with your buddies.Rhymenoceros said:Fair enough. I kinda assumed you were from the UK. I got my D. Eagle before the restrictions thankfully but it's all I haveDectomax said:Snip!
But wouldn't it be possible to buy a two tone then spray the green (or whatever) black?
I hadn't realised that made it illegal as the wording of the law makes it illegal to sell not to buy. So te vendor is at fault not the buyer.TerribleAssassin said:That makes it an illegal item to own, you know, you could start a Airsoft team with your buddies.Rhymenoceros said:Fair enough. I've wanted to get started, but the gun I wanted (Well L96) is around £100 so I'm holding out for my birthday.
The problem is that you run the risk ofRhymenoceros said:I hadn't realised that made it illegal as the wording of the law makes it illegal to sell not to buy. But apparently a lot of people just remove the orange tag once they've bought the gun, which make it illegal for them too
And for the money, couldn't you try checking ebay for a cheap one?
Surely you'd want it to not be two tone so it looks better and is harder to spot if you go skirmishing?TerribleAssassin said:Snip
I can't go skirmishing though, I'm 14 so I can become UKARA registered for another 4 years, so I have to buy a two-tone weapon.Rhymenoceros said:Surely you'd want it to not be two tone so it looks better and is harder to spot if you go skirmishing?TerribleAssassin said:Snip
And you could just check the pictures they upload to ebay to make sure it's how you want, but you do still run the risk of it being faulty.
I find it hilarious that it's illegal to ship an Airsoft gun without the orange tip, yet it's legal to purchase realistic ones and replace the orange with the black. Hooray for loop holes!Sn1P3r M98 said:I'm fairly new to airsofting; I haven't actually gone skirmishing yet, but I'm all geared up to do so.
Here's some pics of my guns.

I recently got a Vertical Grip for this gun, but I'm too lazy to go take a picture of it

I've got BDUs with mag pouches and a Load Bearing Vest with mag pouches as well. I'm hoping to go skirmishing soon after I accumulate a bit more gear (a sling and black flash hider for the rifle are the main things I want).
