Sorry, I couldn't help it. Puns are funny okay...

I'm afraid that all I have fired is pellet guns and that was 2 and a half years ago, but it was a hell of a lot more fun shooting a can in RL than a Russian/ nazi/ terrorist in a game.
Oh, that's ok. If you have any other ones, shoot. Just expect the anti-pun community to recoil.

I've only shot a .32 and a bolt action rifle at an old friend's ranch in middle school. Because of that, I get uber-excited when I find either of those items in-game. I squeal like a schoolgirl. That's about it.

Shooting guns in real life annoyed me... the way we were 'supposed' to fire the gun meant it kept jamming.

(We were meant to cock it overarm, I could cock it underarm no problem, but if I tried overarm it would jam half the time)

It hasn't really changed how I feel about firing them in games... they've always been two completely separate concepts to me.
That is one shitty gun. It shouldnt matter how you pull the firing pin back to load a bullet into the chamber. All "underarm" "overarm" is basically form. The function is stil the same.

Just how many games have a weapon in .32 ACP?

Yeah it annoyed the crap out of me... put me right off shooting for a bit.

It was an old make, it's specifically a cadet rifle now and they're scrapping it soon.

I've fired quite a few guns quite a few times, but I don't shoot regularly.

And since shooting in games is more or less completely seperated from reality, no. My experiences have no effect on how I play shooters.

Two words:
Ammo conservation

I still tend to aim for the torso in video games, though. I find it easier to line up a target in real life, actually.

I tend to try to conserve ammo more, instead of just going balls-out with the chaingun spraying bullets everywhere, I tend to go for short, controlled bursts, aiming for the center of mass and the head whenever possible.

All the words I need to make some puns are just ricocheting back and forth in my head now...

Sadly, I don´t own real firearms myself, but I have experience in them through friends who own them and took me to the range, and through my military service.
And real firearm knowledge has hardly improved my aim or skill in videogames or vice versa. Altho I do see that, through some games, even an inexperienced shooter could load a certain gun because they saw their character do it in a videogame a million times.
That does not, however, mean that they could actually shoot for shit<.<

I've only ever fired two guns. One was a Colt Diamondback and it almost dislocated my shoulder thanks to my inexperience, the state it left the Hare in though was a sight to behold. And the other was an L98A1 from when I was in the Cadets for a little bit.

I really tried playing CoD4 tactically, but it's not very effective when everyone else is tanking around the stage spraying MG fire all over the place.

How did this change my methods of firing a weapon in a game? None what so ever, firing a weapon in real life and firing a weapon in a game are two entirely different things.

shooting guns in real life has almost no effect on me in video games, i take them as 2 completely separate things ones a controller and the other is a trigger, i don't relate them that much.

I love guns, but never fired one. In my country as much as you can buy is pistol - after proving that you really need it and you are not crazy psycho.

Someday i hope to own at least one assault rifle. And live in other country.
