That's true, supposedly facial proportions in kittens and puppies are similiar to that of a human baby, and that inspires us to want to take care of it.

I've also read that cats have learnt to match the frequency(or pitch, or...something)of a crying baby, making it hard for us to ignore their cries of "feed me now!".

Not sure I believe that one, but it's pretty damn interesting if it's true.

The content is always fictional drawings, photoshopped pictures, etc.. What do you know? Here we have Bolt, a CG dog given human qualities. Is it normal that you "love," Bolt?

Actually, yes. He fits in perfectly with your fetish/interests. Why shouldn't you love him? Now is it healthy to be obsessed with someone or something fictional? No. I think it's also important you determine what kind of furry you are and what you mean when you say you "love" Bolt. Do anthropomorphic creatures sexually excite you or just intellectually fascinate you? Do you want to walk down the aisle with Bolt? Do you want to copulate with him? Or do you just admire him?

Finally, just how serious are you about this? It's not uncommon for people to want to be or be with fictional characters. The reason I love books, video games, comics, and movies is because I want to be part of those worlds and the character's lives. However, at the end of the day, I know they are all works of fiction. As long as you can pull away for a second and say, "I love Bolt, but he isn't real," I don't think you've got a big problem.

Yes, it IS what OP is describing. Anthropomorphism comes in various degrees, as do all things. I have no idea HOW you look at your pets, but you when DO look at them I can be certain you feel some sort of attraction or they wouldn't be your pets.
OP is anthropomorphic to the degree of infatuation. Many are the same way. It is perfectly natural.

Probably the only one to say this but this is perfectly normal, men who consider themselves straight often have man-crushes and vice-versa for women, people who are underage have been known to fall for people much older then them, people in general often fall for fictional characters, millions of people fall for people they'll never meet, this may be an extreme example but it is normal.

I had a similar situation that involved me loving Renamon from the Digimon series. Eventually I realized that my feelings could not be returned by a character that some other human thought up, so i got over her. As far as I can tell, There's nothing abnormal about loving a fictional character.

Edit: On second thought, i'm really weird by several accounts so maybe i'm not the best judge of character.
