Well finally. Its a start at least. The dead British:American count is still at least 2:1, but its a start. I'll bet money most every antagonist will be British.

im going with:

British villain for most of the game, but at the end you find out that the whole war was actually an evil plot by George Washington (who is part of some sort of illuminati type of deal) to destroy world power balance as we know it and to create a country in which this group can secretly control from behind the scenes since they establish its foundations.

That seems to be the usual course of most games. An easily visible villain fitting an overused stereotype, only for the game to go "lol actually its americas fault" at the end for a "surprise" twist.

As for the video, good. Ubisoft said they weren't taking sides so it's about damn time.

Patriot - A person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.

Since they are fighting against their country in a revolutionary movement, they would be traitors at this point. Patriots after they have founded a nation (and invaded Canada) of course.

Since, the Patriots (group) represented some of the future Americans, it would be stupid to call them the same. Also you screwed up the deffinition of Patriots aswell. They weren't being patriotic towards great britian they were being patriotic to the nation they were tying to create. For the record Patriots=Bluecoats, Loyalists=Redcoats.

I'm afraid due to the nature of the Assassin's Creed series your idea is very unlikely. Assassin's Creed was always about "Reliving history", not "changing history". Killing George Washington is definitely not a good idea for a series trying to be as historically accurate as possible.

I guess 4 Americans to the countless British is at least a start. But to be honest I think I've lost interest in the franchise now. Not because of the killing British people thing, I just don't really see enough new to make it worth buying. Maybe I'll get it once the Complete Edition comes out, or whatever they choose to call it this time round.

This. Or if the writers make more of an effort to include Desmond, which by Revelations, was literally the only reason I even played it. And that still fucking disappointed me. Assassins Creed has sooo much potential, but so far, they kept squandering it on Ezio, Italy (Please, Istanbul was no real cultural change) and far too cryptic scenes about what actually happened thousands of years ago (That was no solar flare. A solar flare would've raped the planet in half).

a solar flare wouldnt cut a palnet in half, a solar flare would basically kill all life, turning earth, for example, into a barren planet, like mars or venus.

Sorry, I didn't mean it literally. But yes, a solar flare would leave the entire planet completely lifeless with no possibility of anything surviving.

I wasnt implying that Mr Washington would eat a steel sandwich. He could be the leader of a Free Masons/Iluminati type of deal. As for the actual battle, could be a fictional advisor (a bookworm type of person whom you wouldnt suspect), someone high on the food chain for the rebels.

I seem to remember a certain assassins creed game where an assassin was sent to kill a bunch of people, sometimes for flimsy reasons. His master told him that his organization is totally good, only to find out from the villain that his master was part of the group all along and was using the assassin to do his dirty work.

I mean where do I start? This is Ubisoft. They're from France. They are not going to make a game where they kiss the USA's ass during the whole story.

I cant think of a single game that showed America as being awesome.

Black ops? a bit closer i suppose, although every engagement with american forces turns into a colossal clusterf#$%. The only "F YEA" moments i got in that game was the russian prison break and the flashback fighting against the last remnants of nazis, so apparently it is a Russian patriotic game....

Forgive me for misunderstanding, everyday is school day. Though I didn't get the definition of patriot wrong, that was the dictionary's fault. Allegedly, patriotism is love a nation, perhaps we will have to agree to disagree, but I don't think can't love something that does not exist. I think the OP is going for the exact opposite, actually. People have been complaining that the game seems to be really one-sided, what with the decidedly pro-American promotion going around. (For some reason, people were actually BLAMING Americans for this, even though the game is made by French people. But I digress.) I'm fairly certain the OP is saying "See? There are American bad guys too, just like they said there would be!"

French people? The game is made in Montreal. Montreal is in Canada. People who live in Montreal are Canadians not French.

Sure. They probably speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Swahili, Hindi, Korean, Italian, Japanese as well. I've met people who've lived in Montreal their whole life and could barely speak french.

Oh. Spoke too soon. The lead writer on Assassin's Creed 3 is American. Or at very least American educated. So . . . yeah. Don't know how much control he has over the story, but there you go.
